This song, "Devil Island" and "My last words"...even not the best hrash metal song ever recorded, definteley are masterpieces on their own . Peace Sells but who is buying is the best thrash metal album on the Megadeth discography and one of the best thrash metal albums of all time
I still can't believe he is gone. He was not that old and very fit. They said it was just a heart attack and nothing else involved.... is that still the story? He was such a great drummer and i loved listening to him.
@@f2detaboada No he can't. His solos, while fast are much simpler than his lead guitarists' and he can't even cover those without sloppiness live since his early 2000s injury. Trust me, if Dave could pull off those solos convincingly, he would show everybody just to devalue the shunned guitarists that left the band. He's not a very good lead guitarist. GREAT rhythm player though.
Very but very much! If I was able to double the likes on your comment you'll have a 100 already. Right on point. Possibly Marty was the actual lead guitar Dave always wanted for Megadeth, but Chris Poland lead guitar was remarkable!
I'd empty all of my bank account to go back in the 90's seeing them performing this.. Idk if any of the people in the crowd realise how lucky they were to see this..
I seen em 3 times In the 90s. Always had great groups with them.. Alice in chains, pantera, slayer anthrax & suicidal tendencies (clash of the titans).
The part from 2:40 to 3:40 is so insanely good. The drums and the guitars make it sound like an unstoppable high speed murderous train. "If you see me coming run as fast as you can" , the singing style and the lyrics is just plain awesome!
Azod KOtic man, the guy collapsed playing drums and that was it....He played hard every show and i think he played his heart out until he couldnt play anymore.
When people talk about Nick Menza's drumming, I remember in high school for P.E. he just had to practice on his drum pad! I knew that one day he'd be famous! Nick you were the best! R.I.P.
Nope, Dave was fired and cryed like a bitch for years, is well documented, regardless of wich band you like more, a fact is a fact, Dave was fired and cry over it.
"Megadeth at it's absolute best." You can say that again! Menza is amazing! Back in the day the rhythmic section of Megadeth was an authentic locomotive with no brakes. Gar, Chris, Chuck, Jeff, Nick, Marty, Junior and Dave: THANK YOU!
One of my favourite Megadeth songs. Notice the late great Nick Menza during the last part of the song. His left leg was not moving, most likely resting on the hi-hat pedal, while his right played the bass drum. He got some speed in those double hits. Great drummer.
nick menza was a monster! I am glad to have seen at least one concert he was in. Toronto 1990, while Anthrax and Slayer were good..megadeth was PERFECT
Wow Dave plays that intro solo. This whole time I thought that was Marty's. My favourite solo of all time and I've been a megadeth fan for like 20 years. Damn
Finally!! It's not blocked in Canada anymore!! I haven't been able to watch this for over a year!! I remember watching it for the first time over 3 years ago. Such a perfect performance.
The difference between 4-6 minutes of Megadeth old songs compare to 6-8 minutes of Metallica songs is that most Megadeth songs doesnt have part that is repeated! It just keeps progressing to a different part while Metallica would repeated their verse chorus and bridge more than 3 times. The skull beneath the skin, Looking down the cross, Wake up dead, the conjuring, Black friday, Bad omen, Set the world afire, Mary Jane, Five magics, Holy wars, Hangar 18, Tornado of souls, Rust in peace, Poison was the cure, Take no prisoners.
THIS IS SO GOOD. I wasn't even born when this video was shot. ¬_¬ saw them on the Priest Feast tour earlier this year though, and they were still magnificent. By the way, anybody else think that this and My Last Words were the best songs on Peace Sells?
The REAL shame is that I NEVER knew just how good Gar was until I picked up Peace Sells in DTS surround sound ... it really brings out the separate instruments, and puts 'em back together very well.
Hey im a kid i got into this because of guitar hero. But now i play bass and iknow many thrash songs and also have all of Megadeth's albums. Who cares where u hear this what matters is that u like it
Possibly the best thrash song ever made
agreed
U ain't kiddin bro!😈😈

Can we all take a moment to admire Nick's insane drumwork?!

Genesis H but he’s playing it live isn’t he?

TheAbsorbant It's awesome, I can barely do those with 2 lol

Haha love it!
Watching Dave do most of the solos that I always thought Poland did...priceless
TheRamsesII Dave’s the writer and mastermind
Dave can play all the solos his lead guitarists play, he's just that good.
@@f2detaboada That's total bullshit. Even he says chris poland can play circles around him

Yeah this one was fairly unimpressive despite that I prefer Marty's best solos vs Polands in Megadeth (though this ones def my fav Poland solo)
Agree.
Nah
its true!
definitely the sickest drummer megadeth ever had! so fast and tight!
Second best*
Samuelson still is god.
Indeed
Gar will always be number one.
Gar

old school thrash forever
Old school thrash?? You mean thrash

He died doing what he loved. I can't think of a better way to go. RIP
Damn no love for Gar.
This song has a KILLER solo, and Friedman did not disappoint on this live performance!

dam, singing and playing this riff is nearly impossible
I can't start my day without listening this atleast 5 times
I dont believe thrash can get any better. What a performance!
How does someone come up with a song like this?!!!!!! The riffs, the drums, the bass lines, everything is so fucking EVIL AND PERFECT!!!
Rust in peace Nick...

When Megadeth was Megadeth. I saw them open for Dio in 1987. Thrashed my head right off my shoulders.
Nick menza is a metal god. Rock in peace Nick. Legends are never forgotten.
Be glad Dave got kicked out of Metallica otherwise we would not have the greatist band of all time MEGADETH!!!!!!!!
DeadGuyAle , Dave fired Metallica
Nope, Dave was fired and cryed like a bitch for years, is well documented, regardless of wich band you like more, a fact is a fact, Dave was fired and cry over it.
lucky dominguez It was clearly a joke, dumbass
Metallica rules the world and Dave's is a cry baby bitch
Even if he is/was a crybaby bitch, he wen't on to create an equally successful band of his own
Mustaine is one of the BEST live lead guitarists ever. So tight.
Sometimes he's on fire and sometimes he's a little sloppy. He always kicks ass though.
Amazing performance! Nick is flawless!
Ikr. The single kicks he's doing in the end of the song. Fucking insane.
The real greatest Megadeth song.
Metallica could never have hung with the progression that Dave as a player evolved into! never! rip nick!!
this is faster than metallica xD
Few things are more patently obvious than what you jus stated.
Metallica is spent!!!
when are you dipshits gonna stop comparing to metallica
I do hope after 4 years, you stopped crying about it😂
Mustaine's head banging priceless! 4:40!
i'd love to see a good quality of this song live with Samuelson :(
I love this song. Dave plays and sings his ass off here. Whole band is on point. 🤘
Damn, this may be the best song on the album. Highly technical too
It's such a fun looking at Nick drumming. His motion behind the kit is hypnotizing. May he rest in peace.
Nicks drum work is absolutely mesmerizing
"Megadeth at it's absolute best." You can say that again!
Menza is amazing! Back in the day the rhythmic section of Megadeth was an authentic locomotive with no brakes.

The state of the art speed metal band!!! ( as they called Megadeth by 1988 , I remember)
