There are two ways you can hear this next song... There's our way, and there's their way... for those of you that think this is their way, this song is called THE MECHANIX!!!!!!
That song is and always has been Mechanix, Mustaine composed it , hell he even invented the "metallica" sound, remember he was the only Guitar Player, james learned from him, so be just, they even named teir second album from a song that Mustaine Composed....then he reinvented Metal creating "The MegadetH" sound.....and we better don´t talk about kirk´s solos plagiarism..............................
you are correct about mustaine creating the early metelica sound but what you don't realize is kirk actually created the thrash metal sound with Gary Holt in exodus around 1981 listen to songs like impaler and whipping queefn and die by his hand which kirk brought to metelica and became creeping death as for kirk he hated on the first album copying mustains solos but lars insisted if anything what fueled Dave's anger toward kirk was how he was kicked out as mustain was friends with kirk as he hung out with him Gary Holt and Paul falloff when he was living in San francisco and after kirk took his spot it caused a lot of anger issues if anything please show learn the facts and release their is know anger anymore and release Dave and kirk both contributed to the early thrash sound although in two different bands one being exodus and one being metallica and by the way slayer borrowed their sound from exodus so are you going to call slayer plagiarists also
Four Horse Man is much easier to listen, is much more epic and heavier (due to its lower speed), James's voice is way better, Cliff's playing and backing vocals are amazing.. but The Mechanix is so unique and agressive that I still prefer it.
Oh shit that base!! This version with Hetfield on vocals, think about that. Dave didn't actually even sound bad on this one. I've seen them 4 times and always disapointed how Dave sounds. But this was 1998 and i saw them 2008-2015
I love both bands but come on lets be real here, James is the better vocalist, especially live. I'd much rather listen to James singing or yodeling as you put it than Daves dying cat vokills. He sounds like absolute shit these days.
Unko Piko I actually prefer Hetfield's vocals on the early albums but those days are long gone. For this style of music I find Dave's vocals to be more tolerable. James tries to hard to sing and it shows. Dave's vocals are more consistent from the studio to the live setting. Did ya see the Metallica performance on the Grammy's? That was terrible.
it was originally written by Dave ...not Metallica...do your research Metaphoria, it was "originally" meant to be this fast, Metallica used it despite Dave telling them not to, just like Ride the Iightning, and Call of Kutulu, ect
+a Welsh Nationalist listen the mechanix version of the no life til leather demo and u will know ur talking shit. Dave didn't speed up the song, its was metallica who slow it down cause kirk couldn't play that fast
So does anyone know the history here? I know Dave contributed a mass amount of musicality to the first album and maybe a little of lighting too. But how did lars’ money hungry ass not sue Dave for using four horsemen and rewriting the lyrics? Again I know Dave probably wrote this while in Metallica, but there’s not even a similarity to the song... it’s the SAME song
Yeah dave wrote this and this was the original version, James changed the lyrics to be the ones you hear on the Four Horsemen, he co wrote/ wrote other ones such as Jump In the Fire
I can't remember correctly but I read somewhere about that. James can't play the main riff and this was so fast for Lars so They changed the slower version of The Four horsemen.
+Sergeant Gaben correction: used to play, now when he plays battery it's an over-simplified version dude and fight fire with fire isn't that hard, also you could've used better examples like the whole "...And Justice For All" album

fuck me this is on fire!
snarling Dave at his cockiest :-)
"Still no clue, huh?" - I wish he said "You guys never heard of MetallicA?!".
He could've made a refrence. It had been like 14 years since at this point.
When the band still full of energy!
Damn you Menza
😂
@Shane Rutherford He's dead.
@Shane Rutherford Then it should be Jealous you couldn't play as good as he did.
@Shane Rutherford Past tense.
Holy shit boys and girls, dave is about to play a solo on the pentatonic scale
how many notes does a song needs to be a nice song to hear?
natasico you are not understanding my comment. Im simply saying that he is playing a solo on the simplest scale on guitar.
Ryan Macher
ok sorry
Ryan Macher that would be chromatic.
Same shit Kirk does. Marty is better than both of them combined!
6:09 his finger look like spider legs. Dudes shredding fast.
This is GOLD! Not only did I like this version better , but I always liked Megadeth over Selloutica way more too !
Thanks for this MegadethizeD !
LMAO at the camera man shaking it "yes" to "How bout over here, do you know what this song is?"
@ 7:44 the camera shows the date (3/30/1998) which was my 2nd birthday
Your a year younger than my daughter..That's crazy..I still love this, she, not so much..She puts up with it and appreciates it..Blasting from my room everyday
If I were in that crowd, I would have yelled "The Four Horsemen" at Dave just to see the look on his face. 😆
There are two ways you can hear this next song... There's our way, and there's their way... for those of you that think this is their way, this song is called THE MECHANIX!!!!!!
Dave Mustaine I love you! and U still fit in the same pants from 1985.... I don't
Dave el mejor lejos!!!larga vida a MEGADETH.
That song is and always has been Mechanix, Mustaine composed it , hell he even invented the "metallica" sound, remember he was the only Guitar Player, james learned from him, so be just, they even named teir second album from a song that Mustaine Composed....then he reinvented Metal creating "The MegadetH" sound.....and we better don´t talk about kirk´s solos plagiarism..............................
you are correct about mustaine creating the early metelica sound but what you don't realize is kirk actually created the thrash metal sound with Gary Holt in exodus around 1981 listen to songs like impaler and whipping queefn and die by his hand which kirk brought to metelica and became creeping death as for kirk he hated on the first album copying mustains solos but lars insisted if anything what fueled Dave's anger toward kirk was how he was kicked out as mustain was friends with kirk as he hung out with him Gary Holt and Paul falloff when he was living in San francisco and after kirk took his spot it caused a lot of anger issues if anything please show learn the facts and release their is know anger anymore and release Dave and kirk both contributed to the early thrash sound although in two different bands one being exodus and one being metallica and by the way slayer borrowed their sound from exodus so are you going to call slayer plagiarists also
James knew how to play before he knew Dave idiot
Max teaches us how to spew bullshit alright
I love Megadeth so much.
The best thing that Metallica ever did was kick Dave out. Aesthetically, musically, pretty much fucking everything else, Megadeth is superior.
fuck
Except vocals
Chuck Mc Boot you got them there haha
lucas salazar he had to drink to deal with James and Lars big egos
i like both but about that bullshit u said i'll add: except sale rate
Still one of his best solos no cap
To anyone wondering, Menza is the drummer here. He didn't leave until the summer of 1998.
Sorry Dave but if you sang the 4 horsemen lyrics with this speed it would be 1000000 time more metal than both songs
Couldn't agree more. Where 4 horsemen fails musically, it definitely wins when it comes to the lyrics.
hawk6111 there would be no 4 horseman without Dave you dumb fucks
Eric Bomberger We know that but u have to admit it. Lyrically, The Four Horsemen wins. Musically, Mechanix rapes TFH
hawk6111 That's right. It would be the best version.
Wtf the mechanix is about sex wtf
Four Horse Man is much easier to listen, is much more epic and heavier (due to its lower speed), James's voice is way better, Cliff's playing and backing vocals are amazing.. but The Mechanix is so unique and agressive that I still prefer it.
The ONLY one. PERIOD!
High_ Voltage mustaine’s creation>mustaine’s creation then. Fuck Metallica
Am I the only one pissed nobody fuckin knew it was mechanix?
"It's Four Horsemen Dave!"
The Troll-Horseman!
Oh shit that base!! This version with Hetfield on vocals, think about that. Dave didn't actually even sound bad on this one. I've seen them 4 times and always disapointed how Dave sounds. But this was 1998 and i saw them 2008-2015
Both Dave and James vocals suck. The only issue is James are far worse now that he tries to actually sing or yodel.
Looking for yoooooooouuuuu to start up a fiieeeeeeeght :P
Askel Sæbø
I love both bands but come on lets be real here, James is the better vocalist, especially live. I'd much rather listen to James singing or yodeling as you put it than Daves dying cat vokills. He sounds like absolute shit these days.
Unko Piko James Hetfield is a singer that plays guitar.
Dave Mustaine is a guitarist that sings.
That was terrible.
dave is fucking funny! God i love this man
A melhor formação que a banda já teve até hoje \,,/
vdd
And this is why you almost never see fat drummers in Thrash Metal lol
Claire Heasman Except Gene Hoglan of Dark Angel and the drummer for Sodom during 2006.
This must have been one of Nick Menza's last shows with Megadeth?
No tienes ni la mínima idea de que canción es!!! una sola persona sabe aquí!!! Mechanix guys!!! ;)
it was originally written by Dave ...not Metallica...do your research Metaphoria, it was "originally" meant to be this fast, Metallica used it despite Dave telling them not to, just like Ride the Iightning, and Call of Kutulu, ect
+a Welsh Nationalist listen the mechanix version of the no life til leather demo and u will know ur talking shit. Dave didn't speed up the song, its was metallica who slow it down cause kirk couldn't play that fast
+a Welsh Nationalist ur fucking dumb if u really think 4HM has the same speed as the original mechanix version
Why would they? They've never actually been pretty in it all, they credited him for his songs and have wished him nothing but the best
Mechanix and short hair ? not matched with 80's thrash metal classic :( Otherwise, Lars can't do that so fast so they changed the main riff.
Lars could play mechanix, don't forget he plays songs like battery and fight fire with fire
Diego As Fuck Mechanix is a faster song, unlike most of the songs on AJFA. My point is Lars could keep the tempo.
Seattle 1989, better than any drummer than megadeth, admit it , Lars was a fucking beast in Seattle
the tallica guys never did it like this.......
Krlos Rivas Canada 1986 th-cam.com/video/OIFiiYHfukA/w-d-xo.html
Yeah, they did it better
In his spare time, Donald Duck sings and plays guitar for Megadeth
More faster and angriest version of the four horsemen,of metallica.
at 1:16 he plays mechanix in the tempo of the four horsemen lol
This lineup was incredible.
Holy shit, I was at this show! Front row, tight in front of Marty! Is there more of this show posted on here!?
cryptic writings US TOUR!
