I can’t believe record labels chose grunge bands over metal ones, metal music is filled with energy, the dudes actually knew how to write catchy riffs, they were very talented (yes even glam metal bands, admit it) the lyrics made you feel like a badass, metal music makes you feel alive, grunge is freaking boring and dull, most grunge bands sound like a bunch of amateur middle schoolers rehearsing in their garage. Except Alice In Chains and Stone Temple Pilots,those guys actually knew how to write music, but most grunge bands are lame and suck ass.

Now is a great time for discovering new bands since many CAN go independent and still sell their tracks to the people or grow their audience online.
