Hawaiian Invasive Species, Caves and Cliff Jumping (Kauai, Hawaii Fishing and Exploring Pt 1)

Hey everyone, welcome back to another video! A group of us were lucky enough to have our schedules align and spend two weeks on the beautiful island of Kauai, Hawaii. Jimmy and company hosted us as we fished, surfed and explored the island. The shore fishing was tough due to the big swell, but that just meant the waves were better for us surfing. Either way, we caught some cool fish!
This video we caught the invasive Roi, or Peacock Hind, which was introduced in the 50s in hopes of adding another good eating fish to the reef. Apparently, they started running rampant and also carry ciguatera so the plan massively backfired. We also hiked the Makauwahi Cave as well as jumped off the cliff at Shipwrecks Beach.

Awesome! Great hunch that the Lucky Craft would work in Hawaii. I jumped off a bridge once in Sequoia into a river,so I know jumping off that cliff took some nerve. Great job!👍

You do not currently need to have a fishing license to fish from shore.
