🎙 For our ninth episode we’re joined with Ustadh Talha Ameen who takes us through his unique and wonderful journey memorising the Qur’an! 📢 From his Juzz Amma days whilst home-schooling, to him re-learning Qur’an and later achieving first place in a Qur’an competition, to now studying Arabic at a deeper level alongside his A-levels - this podcast episode is packed with many beneficial gems and points of reflection for all those currently on their journey إن شاء الله 🌹 Hifdhstatus Telegram - t.me/hifdhstatus
Subhan Allah, I am just mesmerised by the depth of knowledge of these young hafidhs and just their whole respectful demeanour, I really feel a sense of sadness about my wasted youth, still feel inspired to make a difference.
Question for Ustadh Talha and other younger guests: how/where are you learning Arabic from and how do so many of the brothers have so many Hadith memorized? Also it was good to hear from Br. Dawud, would have liked to hear more about your journey. Finally, as a mother myself, would love to hear from the parents’ perspective and maybe you could even have them on the show with their children in a special kind of episode:)
Ameen! Jazakallahu Khairan for your kind words and feedback, it really helps us. We'll definitely take this question on-board إن شاء الله May Allah سبحانه وتعالى make us from his special, chosen people of the Qur'ān 🌹
I really would like a podcast with a mother, any mother, that can advise the mothers of today on how to help bring our youngsters up who are plagued with social media, influential friends and just lack basic respect and mannerisms.
Subhan’Allah can really relate to the brother In terms of ‘forgetting large parts of what I had memorised. The reason for this for me (and many others) was completely down to wrong method in memorisation, in terms of lack of repetitions. Alhamdulilah I was able to repeat a page only a short number of times and have it memorised, but this was just short term and longer term because I never kept revision up I lost a lot of what I memorised. Now I’m ‘rememorising’ from the beginning, essentially treating it like I’m starting my hifdth again, doing atleast 100 repetitions etc
@@user-oi6xw6cr8d I usually memorise a page or half a page a day. I just use a normal memorisation method, break it down a Ayat by ayah, connect the Ayas , repeat the page a number of times also. Then after the section is solid and I can read without looking, I will then move on to revision one juzz per day. And then also revision of the juzz im currently on. And then il go back on the section I memorised That day, il repeat it another 50-100x so that’s it’s absolutely solid
Love this podcast, even just learning at home, the tips and inspiration it's gives is amazing, shows us the hardship but also the rewards of the hardwork, may Allah make this rewarding for everyone involved Ameen
