I see alot of young brothers who credit their achievements to their efforts and dedication. Don't forget to mention Allah first and his tawfeeq and aid, and THEN your efforts.

Alhamdulilah I’m so grateful to Alaah SWT that I came across this specific video. I have been watching this channels’ videos but Subhannallah this video was exactly what I need to hear. Yesterday I was in my bed crying because how much of a struggle it was to memorize the half of a page that I was studying for the last 4 hours. I ended up barley knowing anything by the end of it. It takes the people around me about an hour to finish a page or two, but not for me. It’s a real struggle, so I’m happy that Alaah guided me to this video. It takes me way longer then 30 try’s to get an ayat down, so I’m happy to know that everyone’s journey is different and that there is nothing wrong with my journey. I just have to put in effort! Jazak’Allah khayr Ustadh Hameem, may Allaah continue to bless you and give you everything khayr in this dunya and in the akirah! Ameen ya Rabb

JazakumAllah khairan katheeran for this, the part about memorising and repeating so many times, really, really moved me. Like the guest it takes me very long to commit a group of ayas solidly to memory, however I am also a mother and in my case time is a big premium, it is very hard to block out a continuous, distraction-free bunch of hours - we must manage our kids' needs and goals too (like all that was mentioned, eg hifdh, school and waking up for Fajr). I have felt very disheartened: whilst others in the Halaqa move forward, I, memorise very little after many months, and it's not even strong. If I dedicate more time for memorising, I can't have time for revision, so my Quran gets weak, but if I make sure I revise properly then I am left with little time to memorise well. I feel very ashamed coming to my teacher with nothing (because I've just been revising) or just one aya or two (because I finally managed the revision, but it took me so long to memorise) , so have tried to come with more, but this has been a bad idea. The hifdh is so weak that I have many mistakes when reciting it later, and end up spending far more time trying to get it straight.
However the young guest has inspired me a lot. Busy parents, don't be like me and write everything off to age and cognitive exhaustion, I now renew my intention to do what is best, put in more effort and see how I can make the time I need to do it right. Yes it will still hurt if my teacher is perplexed and disappointed if I end up just crawling forward (or barely at all) but that's better than weak Quran that dissolves away. I also have to admit that I'm not committing properly, blocking out the large time I clearly NEED rather than haphazardly squeezing some time. Those in the same boat: don't despair, perhaps Allah wants you to spend more time with the Quran and get it rock-solid in the end, in shaa Allah! I want to practice what i want my kids to emulate.
The peaceful home part also really moved me. Please make dua I can reset and provide the same for my kids. And may Allah give all the khair to everyone.
Side note, I encourage all youth (especially girls) to memorise early as distraction-free time is a premium when you have kids and many more responsibilities. You may find it hard now but it's the easiest it will ever be.
Channel owners, I received a link to this episode via a forward from WhatsApp otherwise might never have come across your channel, so advise you to use those means and spread the word.
May Allah forgive me for errors
سبحان الله وبحمده سبحانك اللهم وبحمدك اشهد ان لا اله الا الله الا انت استغفرك واتوب اليك

Truly inspirational! I was actually looking for something motivational to memorise new passages of Quran as my daughter gave me a wake up call with "Mummy, what surah are you on?". I have become lazy and procrastinating with my growing age (I'm not that old btw). Please make dua Allah helps me to memorise more of His blessed book!

That's amazing Subhanallah! The way your child can become a source of inspiration on your own Qur'ān journey is beautiful.
May Allah سبحانه وتعالى make us from those who memorise and live by the Qur'ān 🌹

Allahuma Baarik for the excellent and very inspiring interviews on this channel. May Allah SWT continue to put Barakah in your Hifdh journies!
Would you also consider addressing questions around approach to Hifdh such as incorporating writing, recording and listening to self, touching the mushaf line by line during the process, using an electronic device etc and any other approaches out there in sha Allah. BaarakAllahu feekum.

This has to be my favourite episode so far ... I have started Hifdh journey almost a year ago, I am 27 and work fulltime, my schedule get really busy, might not have enough sleep sometimes. I keep thinking of giving up but then i tell myself I am already living this life and times and days gonna pass anyways so it is better to memorise something than nothing.
I neglected my revision and it is getting really hard to finish my revision as i am foucing on new memorising but I think I will take up his advice and go back to revise, solidify it that first and then continue with my hifdh.
      May Allah bless you all
