I honestly didn't find any of the koopa races that hard. But I had a hard time on the remake levels on the Dark Side.
Dark Insect except the ones that have yoshi, am I right? Those are nothing compared to the cappyless ones, especially where you have to get perfect long jumps and get the bonzai bill to follow you to reveal the 2nd moon in that one cappyless mini level
Pulse I actually died a few times on the Yoshi one because of his hitbox.
Dark Insect Understandable, and if you're talking about the one in the lava, I can relate, it is pretty difficult to go in one go collecting both moons without dieing
Me too! Wasn't too hard to beat Gold Koopa but with good amount of practice. Unlike most people whining how hard these races were but I found jump rope, volleyball, Bound Bowl Class S, most Dark Side moons and Darker Side harder for me.

Try the Talkatoo glitch, it feels real nice to pull off, and if you feel like you cheated, you can just dive when you feel you have had enough
That was the only power moon that I had left as well, but you will eventually get it. I remember having so much trouble with it. I tried everything, except for the glitch of course, and the technique is to just time it right. I didn't find a way to cheese it. I got up to 80 by just mashing the A-button, but it never got me past that. Again, you'll get it.

On the darker side of the moon, you can use Glydon to glide all the way to the Bowser boss battle. Just keep shaking the controller to maintain altitude.

Great list! I wish that "Herding Sheep Above the Forest Fog" and "Iceburn Circuit Class S" were on here, but other than that I agree with every single one of these!

I'm at 998 out of 999 moons, and the iceburn circuit class s is the one that eludes me.
I hated that sheep thing, and I'm avoiding Iceburn Circuit entirely

1:58 For those who don’t know, the high score, set by Pimanrules, is a former TASbot programmer and youtuber. Also for those who don’t know what a TASbot is, a TASbot is a program that is usually used on video games that does stuff like push certain buttons at certain points depending on where it is told to go. For example: the volleyball was completed by his TASbot by splitting the screen into three color spectrums. Red, green, and blue. I suggest checking out his video(s). His TASbot failed at 55555 jumps by general mistiming.

To get the eastern pillar moon, you can also lead one bullet bill to one of the closer pillars, then capture it so it's timer resets.

I personally would say the master cup in seaside kingdom is harder because you need to have perfect timing and you will still be neck in neck with the golden koopa, and also I think that arrival at rabbit ridge is harder than number 2 and 3. That's what I personally think, but otherwise, great video
Arival at rabbit ridge is #1 at my list because i always had to use amiibos to recover my health

Dark Pit it’s pretty cheap and not many people like to use it
use assist mode, if you don't move for awhile you get more lives
5:00 The hammer bro isn't the only way, you can make some capy jumps to get over the robot and ground pound every rabbit and when the bot turns white and kicks you off, you can easily throw cappy and dive to get to the top again
The bullet bill level on dark side where you lose your hat always kicks my ass

Number 9 would be very difficult if you have to eat all fruits in one shot, but luckily progress is retained when you die.
I see people complaining about some Koopa’s speed runs and walking challenges, but I do not think they were that difficult.
Also, Sharpshooting Under Siege (Metro Kingdom #42) was hard to find so I had to Google it.

for the power moon that involves the eastern pillar you can actually get the moon without shaking the joycon at all it took me quite a few attempts but it was really fun doing some weird maneuvers xD

The Bullet Bill one in Tostarena is completely possible without motion controls or needing a second bullet bill. You just need to lead one to the left pillar acros from the platform with the bill blaster, long jump off as it chases you, then cap throw behind you to capture it and press Y to accelerate and make a beeline toward the moon. It’s actually pretty easy once you get the timing down.
What editing software and capture card do you use?

You know the darker side doesnt look that bad... most of these i can picture myself flashing through this in an hour or so... unlike 3d world last level... that took me a whole day of focus
It is like 1-1 compared to champions road, darker side only took me 20 minutes while champions road took me over a month

Amaza Toad champions road is the last level of 3D world, the one that you were talking about.

Something I did to make it easier fighting all the Broodals in the dark side is got the grand heart and after each fight it lets u teleport back to the odyssey. Then u can go in and stand by the locker and it gives u full health, and then u can proceed on to the next boss fight.
Just for the record when I beat the "Wooded Kingdom: Master Race" I had(and still have) no idea how to do the jump towards Cappy move so instead I choose to head in the opposite direction of the Goombas and instead get to the part where you use the rocket flowers to climb the steep side of the building and timed it so I could capture 2-3 of them and then as precisely as I could run from that part and jump down to the finish from the area above which I suppose is harder but in my case necessary as I don't know how to preform that jump at Cappy jump.
For the darker side of the moon, I learned it really helps to use the peach amiibo if you have it. When you have the time and are in a spot where you can stand and not get hurt, activate your peach amiibo to give you a life up heart. You can do this as many times as needed. Hope this helped! The koopa races were okay as long as you know short cuts.
The rope jump... You the R from Mario to put on there then sit on top of the R and let it go up to 100 or above.

I used the cheat on the jump rope thing and waited for my record to be 420
I'm stuck on #7 right now, after beating every other thing in the game. #4 was really hard. At 5:50 I took pictures and referred back to them, but the paper method would have worked better. #2 was definitely bogus, and I had you TH-cam that for sure. At 7:25 I found it easiest performing triple jumps, starting on the highest moving platform. I think they intended this. That level is extremely difficult, but I finally beat it.

Same! It takes practice and get used to it. I found Bound Bowl Grand Prix Iceburn Circuit Class S race way too hard and sadly he didn't mention it. I would replace it over Koopa Freerunning in my opinion.
the hardest koopa races were the lost kingdom races! both regular and master cup did me in. spent 3 days on regular cup and 1 day on master cup
I got the Picture Mario moon really easily. That and the Picture Goomba are two of my favorite moons in the game, they’re so fun!

Really? I'd say that was actually one of the hardest. Took me a while to figure out I had to use 2 bullet bills, I managed to get about a metre short with 1.

I beat the boss rush before I found the extra life moon 😭I found it while looking in fruit stems right after I beat it and I was so salty lmao
There’s an easy glitch to get jump rope genus, through your cap behind talkato and talk to him as soon as it hits him the cap should be thighs next to his head, finish speaking to him and then roll and long jump away so talkatos not in the camera. Go to the jump rope challenge and ground pound when your above the rope when Mario is in the tuck position look at talkato, the camera will freeze and then so will MARIO! This will clock up lots of jumps, the hardest part is that you need to get the 100 jump moon with the camera locked still. This is such a helpful glitch and I hope you use its for the best
Golden Turnip 3 in Luncheon Kingdom should be on this list.
You have to capture a Hammer Bro (or rather Pan Bro), do some precise jumps over lava, dodge getting hit by Fire Bros, do more jumps over lava, break the cheese around the turnip, uncapture the Pan Bro, get the turnip, then you have to do more jumps over lava (you can't long jump while holding something), and if you fall in the lava or get hit by a Pan Bro or a Fire Bro, the turnip gets destroyed and you have to start all over again, then you have to do those same precise jumps over lava again, then climb up to a higher area, then do another precise jump to get to where the soup that the turnip goes into.
you don't actually have to jump back to where the soup pot is located, when you jump up to the big cheese where the pan bros are, you can just go over the wall as it has 2 or 3 steps carved into it, i didn't notice that when i played that one either, but a corner jump there also works, don't even have to throw the turnip.
5:00 after each fight you can go back to the odyssey and restore health. Takes a bit of time but its worth it
It’s quite interesting how different my list would be compared to yours. I one shot all 4 of the “paint” challenges and ran the coopa race mentioned, same way as the gold, the first time I ran it.
Darker side does deserve the hardest spot for sure though, it’s length without checkpoints was nerve wracking.
Yeah its super weird when talking to other people and which ones they thought were hard and I thought were easy and vice versa. I kind of wish there were more levels like the darker side but maybe that will be saved for Odyssey 2!

For me, the Jump Rope Challenge is harder than Darker Side, and would be my hardest moon. Darker Side took me a couple of tries, but I gave up on the Jump Rope moon and cheated. One day I will truly complete it.
1:59 Tip: do that "R" glitch, go in the jump rope and uncapture but don't fall off the "R".

2. On number two, I have never played but tricks show that you can jump high, throw cappy, and get on. I think.
Now there is a glitch that lets you float over the rope. If you talk to Talkatoo at the same time your cap hits him then your camera gets stuck. If you run away right after you finish talking and make sure your camera isn't facing him. Ground pound in mid air and then look at talkatoo and you will begin floating
4:00 was so hard after like 10-15 trys but i finally managed to beat it
I just enjoy looking at 7:35 because I kept trying to cheat on it by going way above. Nintendo trolled me by making it uncapture right before the end

Everything else on this list simply isn't that hard. Let me explain.
Jump Rope Genius is hard at first, but second time through, I beat it first try. Get a side camera angle and listen for the noice of the woman saying "hey" over and over again. Koopa Races (even the master cups) are practically freebies if you know how to get somewhere fast. One should start practicing advanced movement skills from the beginning. Picture Mario can literally be cheesed with a simple screenshot, and On the Eastern Pillar requires the knowledge of shaking the controller. You don't even need the second bullet bill if you know how to jump from one pillar to another.
Arrival at Rabbit Ridge is difficult, but getting the six health helps majorly. You can also cheese most of the boss fights. The final fight is the only real challenge. Topper, Spewart, and Rango can be stopped in the attacks they commit to after being hurt simply by jumping on their hats (only the real one with Topper). Topper can be hurt when on the ground spinning, Spewart is vulnerable before he does his massive spit, and truly fast players can jump on Rango before he even puts his hat on. Hariet's bomb drop attack can be stopped by hitting a bomb back up at her. While she is throwing bombs at you, the big bombs aren't the only ones that can be hit back at her.
the koopa one in wooded kingdom was something i did by instinct and first try
It took me thirteen hours to memorize and perfect everything on the darker side

The koopa free running in the wooded kingdom is actually easy, what I did was instead of long jumping, throwing cappy and diving and diving again, I just threw cappy at the right time and dived, then threw cappy again and dived
Oh suuuuuuure. Forget about Dark Side's Breakdown road! I died a LOT trying to get both moons.
And I still have not collected them to this day!

No.6 was on the easier side, I got it first try and without trouble. No.4 was also easy because all you have to do is leave the tower and there is a king heart at the bottom just before the zip line.
Idk why people think invisible and vanishing road are so tough. The freaking volleyball and jump rope are harder. You have to have a absolute focus or you will fail
I feel like no one realizes that you can jump on Topper while he is spinning.
It isn’t worth the risk on my opinion because the window to hit him is very short, and his tiny hitbox and the moon gravity makes it really hard to hit him.

For me, Iceburn Circuit S is on my top 3 hardest...Just can't do it! Took me everything I had to beat it on easy... Must've tried hard more than 100 times! Watched tutorials, advices on how to beat it, an no matter what I do, even when I think I made a perfect run, I still lose...
Haven't beaten darker side yet, but I know I'll eventually beat it...
Sad part is I"ll probably not 100% Odyssey because of that Iceburn race...😔

Both the dark side and the darker side of the moon were pains in the ass, mostly the darker side. I kept dying and starting from the beginning over and over again, even when I'm close to the end I died. All I can say is that I was more than satisfied when I finally beat both of them.
I found a useful way to get up there without the bullet bill. Do a triple jump, then an air dive into cappy.
secret 2d treasure’s difficulty is unmeasurable
For all of you who have a Mario amiibo for Odyssey, do the Invisible Road, but use the Mario amiibo before you do it. You will get hit, but take no damage. So that means you can just rush through the stage before you lose your invincibility.
Jump rope is WAYYYYYY easier than volleyball.

I abused a glitch to skip darker side. I used the floating swimming frog glitch to just swim across the void then jumping up when I got to the building. It was easy

Did you not play Breakdown Road: final Challenge!?That's way harder than every pick on your list besides the final one.
Lost kingdom's master koopa race is much harder imo... You need to hat dive around those pillars twice to win.
Number #2 was easy! You don't even need two Bullet Bills! Lure one all the way to the nearest pillar, make it go past and then possess it. Then book it to the tower!

You can get #6 easily by using a long jump and a cap + dive jump to bypass the whole uproot bit.

Honestly, that damn beach ball mini game gave me the worst time and most trouble. Also picture mario.
There's an easier way to get the Eastern Pillar moon. Just go to the top of the castle and capture the gliding lizard and use it to get there.
I honestly don’t know why, these were really easy for me. My problem is with the koopa cups, havent been able to do a lot of them
Rather than tracing the screen, you can just take a screenshot, hit the home button and view your album for a refresher.
