Love this. I do the same but not with just the push up. Not to sound like that guy that does to much, but I when come up from the push up. I do a rep of mountain climbs, coming out of my push up.
First some warm up after workout 2 sets of 30 seconds jumping jacks, 2 sets of 30 seconds arm circles, 2 sets of 30 seconds high knees, After some warm up the actual workout :- 3 or 4 sets of 12 - 15 reps push ups 3 or 4 sets of 20 reps sqauts 3 sets of 15 reps of dips 3 sets of 1 min planks 3 sets of 30 reps 3 sets of 30 seconds superman hold 3 sets of 15 reps
Wow, this is a Godsend; I have been doing burpees for some months now and have begun to feel significant lower back ache and knee pain. I desperately needed this info 🙏🏾🙏🏾
guys n gals always warm up and work on ur mobility as well...this was an awesome example of a safer Burpee...u can also walk one leg up at a time GOOD LUCK FRIENDS N MOTION IS LOTION💪🏿👊🏾😉
Thanks for that, I have been trying to do these damn things and I find it so hard. Now I know I have been doing them all wrong. I will try it your way.
I have no issue doing it "wrong"...I understand the easier method is better for starting out and that it's being presented as an easier version, for some that have issues doing it the harder way. I have never had an issue when I got up from a burpee off my heels when doing them. I noticed you did them correctly 2 twice with no issue and then presented the easier way. I can do more when doing them presented...like you said the first method engages more muscles that some may have issues with possibly because it's a new move.
Str8 up lifesaver thank you. 217lb rn I'm in good shape. I'm a carpenter i woke up fat lol. Your videos helping me not destroy my 34 y/0 body. I litterslly just finished a 5km run dont know how I'm holding onto all this belly fat. Wondering if stress and ssri playing role anyways thx again your the best bruh

I came here after seeing a group of people tell someone they were doing it wrong on ig and now I see why. Hinging from the hips with a wider stance makes such a difference 😮 I’m actually excited to do burpees this evening ( can’t believe I just said that 🤭)
Use variation of burpees: you demonstration two variations & BOTH are correct. Liken it to the Deadlift e.g. sumo: conventional & Straight Leg Deadlift, ALL are correct with different emphasis & benefits!!!
this moves the work to the posterior chain. glutes, hams. Doing straight leg / close knees uses more quad and calves. if you avoid and coddle a weakness, it just gets worse. if this hurts your knees, search the knees over toes guy. he has an easy progression to fix knees. if you are rounding your back, you need to fix poor hip mobility. ...or do burpees like this guy and let those problems grow.
Thank you! I have seen sooooo many people darn near nosediving to the floor and then using more energy to push from the floor and it always looks incomplete

I've seen this variation called a Gorilla Burpee; I do them this way because after tearing a few things in my left knee a couple of years ago I can't 'squat' down while keeping my knees and feet together any more without lots of discomfort and concerning noises coming from my knee. You get a bit more Quad involvement this way too because you're sort of squatting down then squatting up again instead of bouncing around on the balls of your feet.
Right because my goal with weights and exercise is to make them easier.😅 J'king, anything that saves knees is good advice. I'm in my early 60's and wish I could go back and NOT destroy my knees. I've had both replaced and that surgery SUCKS. Thanks brother.
Thanks for showing more of a legit squat than just a huge bend or cantilever at the waist. Will most people actually do this? Of course not but you did show it right and that's all you can do. Happy New Year!
Today I've tried this variation,I really feel the difference than previous. Thanks 😊
Wtf is this ???bro half ass burpees dude
As someone with flat feet, this made a world of difference. Thank you!
Flat feet here too. Will try this method.
@@bettyc931Flat feet here too! Never realized that could be part of why I hate burpees! Will give this a try.
YOU ROCK!!!! I absolutely hate burpees, but they are one of the best routines for total body. Thank you!
Thank you for this. I'm just starting to get fit, and want to make sure I don't get injured along the way, so this will really help

ya, I was taught to do pushups with it too!
Ahh im going to start doing them like that too, with pushups. Thanks!
Yea with push up it's gonna be little bit harder
I didn't realize pushups and jumping as high as you can afterward weren't normally part of it

Thank you, I've been doing burpees like this for 2 weeks and the results are amazing. I never have any joint pain.
The point of this video is using HIS technique. It’s not about Burpees in general. So I don’t understand your comment .

We're glad to hear you're giving this technique a try! Let us know how it goes!
Love your sensible approach!
It helps a little. The wide stance is hamstrings and glute dominant. Do both versions. And also people should do patella stretches.
thank you so much for this information. helpful
Omg..huge difference. I can actually do way more burpees. Thank you for this video
