Love my 22 Carbon Edition Hatch but I agree it has enough power but appreciate Mazda offering the Turbo. I agree that they should update the dash already.

Yes! I just recorded the Turbo hatchback carbon. Loved the interior styling but needs an update. The drive though wasnt what I expected.

In second gear it seems to lose power. My biggest concern is the GDI engine.

I owned a 2017 Mazda 6 & this Mazda 3 has almost the same interior. I agree with you regarding what's under the hood, respectable HP & performance, although it's still only using a six speed (antiquated for 2024 standards).
Why would i even consider spending $26k for an outdated vehicle (inside & out) when i could obtain a far better more contemporary styled vehicle for the same price?
The Honda Civic Touring is a gorgeous far more superior choice as well as the 2025 Kia K-4. (Isn't Toyota coming out with a new Corolla soon too?). Mazda's problem is unfortunately they don't have the resources to compete being an independent Automaker (producing their vehicles in Mexico also hurts the brand. Mazda needs to find a partner or be wiling
to be bought out-right, they need an injection of cash & technology.
To sum it up in a nutshell; That Mazda 3 is out-dated & woefully lacking in technology there's no way I would purchase that vehicle new unless they were giving a $5k rebate, it belongs at a rental car lot.
