I love William Orbits contributions/producer versions of both Ray of Light album and Black Coffee album by All Saints. He is a perfectionist. I remember reading an interview, must have been one of Madonna’s and she was saying she had to literally take the music off his hands because he would get obsessed with it and would extend the songs to practically operatic lengths. A 4 min song would be extended to 15mins, with all of his wizardry magic. He was definitely ahead of his time with the tech. He made his own sound synth system, which was on his website, many moons ago. My brother is a house DJ and I tried to find it again but it wasn’t available anymore. I know William Orbit has worked with Madonna on many other songs after Ray of Light, like Beautiful Stranger. I appreciated his talent way back and still do.
