Have to agree on u brother. I just started listening to them and i was blown away by their style and that it is very different from the Megadeth Metallica and Slayer. The vocals are too good!
Neal Damiano Wrong Scott Ian told me in several interviews that i did with him and other members of Anthrax that they are no trash band so they are HM greathings Gerrit de Wit The Netherlands yeah Anthrax forever past and present with Dan Spitz on guitar
Gerrit De Wit Really dude, read my post again I'm on your side. I like Anthrax and would never call them a trash band. I saw them live! I simply meant they were a fun band who always had a good time. Learn how to interpret things.
Neal Damiano Yo Neal I saw Anthrax many times Live in the eighties and met the guys more than less ones favorite album Persistence of Time best concert was in Zwolle and Cry for the Indians is such a fuckin greath song do you know what Dave Spitz is doing now?
Charlie Benante is incredible! Not only does he play extremely fast, but he is spot on, right in the pocket at all times. The amazing thing is, unlike a lot of metal drummers who just play fast single strokes, he is utilizing a lot of double strokes and other rudiments. What can fool people is how easy he makes it look. The true sign of a master, as opposed to Lars, who seems to agonize over the simplest parts. Of course I'm speaking of the past (late 80s), when I used to go see these bands. As a young drummer, I was blown away by Charlie's speed, dexterity and precision.
I think that Lars did pretty good, you know, he was self taught at that time and he was playing drums only since 1981, when metallica was just formed. James said about his first drumkit this: "It was like 10 colors... ." Boy he didn't know a thing yet he went for it and when you see what he did on Justice, it's crazy. Charlie is cool and consistent while Lars went from 0 to 10 and now he keeps around 6 or 7. He could pull it off, but with how much he and band were touring Inam not surprised that he is kinda sloppy now.
A lineup with joey belladonna, dave mustaine as lead James as rythm, dave lombardo as drums and with steve d'giorgio on bass for me is the ultimate thrash lineup cant see anything going harder than that
i don't care if I'm 80 I'll never see a mosh pit that i don't want to enter.....I think the proudest moment of my life was seeing my daughter go into a pit solo and come out battered but but holding her head up... of course I wanted to as a father go in and shield her from every blow but then If you can't let your children stand and face life as they wish you failed as a parent....

I would give anything to hear this song for the first time again. I was absolutely blown away when I first heard this. And I only discovered more great Anthrax songs.
This band is so well put together they never really did drugs or partied and you can hear it on stage as well as the album's they just don't miss anything all around everything is just so tight
Joey Belladonna has a amazing melodic voice, but perfect for thrash metal. My favourite metal singer. Thanks from Italy e w 80's heavy metal forever!!! 😍
Dude he's not underrated at all,all metal community knows him very well.If there's anybody out there that doesn't know him, thats their shame and problem.
This song was my introduction to anthrax, somewhere around 87-90 bought a cassette called thrash metal that was a complication, had this song on it, been a fan ever since.
+Gerard McElwee My perfect thrash band would be Dave Lombardo on drums, Zombie Cliff Burton on bass, James Her field or either of the slayer guitarists on rhythm guitar and Mary Friedan on lead guitar. All with Joe Belladonna on vocals
Since the first time that I listen to the Anthraxies !!! Caught in a constant Mosh !!! I hope to see you Live sooner or later !!! Salud y Vida Pa'lante !!! Cheers and Life On !!!
I just want to say to all the young kids watching this video thinking that they can run out and become the next Anthrax,Scott ian,etc...yes these guys make it look easy and very cool, but the blood sweat and yes tears that goes into reaching this level, let alone the drive you gotta have to persevere and reach this level ,like Gene Simmons told the 43 year old that wanted to be famous " Dont ever start playing an instrument or a band to get famous,do it purely because you love it, and if fame is meant to happen, your perseverance will take you there. At almost 40 years old I still watch these videos and think oh I could get a contract any day, then reality kicks in and I realize my passion far exceeds my talent the way it is for most of us egotistical musicians and I realize I'm a dime a dozen bass player that yes I'm fucking awesome one a bass (sorry had to toot my own horn for a second) but I'm no geezer, geddy,or Lemmy, also know and admit your limitations Dont go into an audition for a jazz band only knowing metal chops, innovation is nice but not necessary, and that small genre of music that everyone thinks sucks right now is tomorrow's big scene,PLAY EVERYTHING EVERY STYLE,GENRE,ETC, and when one of you do get a deal remember I gave you this advice \m/
Seen anthrax in I think 2014 at mayhem dear when Slipknot headlined that year and Joey was singing for them I'm glad I got to see them play with him singing it wouldn't be the same otherwise
Sam Torruellas punks made skanking/pogoing popular, but if you watch some of the zeppelin live videos there are mosh pits there, same with sabbath, some of the biggest ones in history were with slayer
YES! Moshing and metal has been around longer than you think! Here's the thing....back in the day, there was serious backlash against both Metal and Hard Rock. Pretty bad when even our own representatives spoke against it...so naturally, that made both more popular! ;)
Omg I'm old, I thought everybody knew moshing has been around a long time. I'm roughly the same age as them. The 70's punks were doing it. Might not have been calling it moshing, I dont remember.
My #1 all time favorite METAL band + my #1 favorite ANTHRAX song. They were very influential on my introduction to Thrash Metal. STATE OF EUPHORIA is where it began for me. I've also got ANTHRAX tattooed on the side of my left forearm. Hoping they cone back to Pittsburgh Pa USA when they can.

Anthrax reminds me of my late friend, Randy Dufour every time I hear them. Especially 'Caught in a Mosh'.
Joey Belladonna has a amazing melodic voice, but perfect for thrash metal. My favourite metal singer. Thanks from Italy e w 80's heavy metal forever!!! 😍
We didnt mosh at the time cause newcastle city hall uk was all seated so we just headbanged all the way through it early 90's
This music is perfect
I Love Anthrax since 1990 !!!
also Charlie is an amazing drummer
one of the best drummers ever !!
One of the most underrated drummers ever.
Dude he's not underrated at all,all metal community knows him very well.If there's anybody out there that doesn't know him, thats their shame and problem.
Victor Sullivan Charlie bit me.
Sure the hell is!!!
This song was my introduction to anthrax, somewhere around 87-90 bought a cassette called thrash metal that was a complication, had this song on it, been a fan ever since.
killer riffs
A real crowd pleaser for sure. For those of us who remember when this album first came out, we will soon be moshing to this song in wheelchairs! 🤣🤘
Imagine Anthrax's bass, Megadeths guitars, Slayers drums and James voice...
+Ignacio Buendía
would be cool if they combined for an album
but megadeth has a better bassist
I'd put metallica's bass and Anthrax vocals
+Gerard McElwee My perfect thrash band would be Dave Lombardo on drums, Zombie Cliff Burton on bass, James Her field or either of the slayer guitarists on rhythm guitar and Mary Friedan on lead guitar. All with Joe Belladonna on vocals
+Gerard McElwee LOL True, well then I'd keep everything the same except for the guitars, dual lead with Marty Friedman and idk, Kirk?
One of the very very few singers that really can sing !
Anthrax is great !
Since the first time that I listen to the Anthraxies !!! Caught in a constant Mosh !!! I hope to see you Live sooner or later !!! Salud y Vida Pa'lante !!! Cheers and Life On !!!
I always loved Metallica and Megadeth but have been paying more attention to these guys as of late and they’re good as well.
Me too!!
Nothing better than 80s thrash!
Thrash til Death 🤘
GOD BLESS EVERYBODY ON THE WHOLE PLANET
If metal ever had a song which could qualify as a dance theme, this one's about the closest to fitting that description that I can think of
Toxic waltz is a pretty good dance song too
I just want to say to all the young kids watching this video thinking that they can run out and become the next Anthrax,Scott ian,etc...yes these guys make it look easy and very cool, but the blood sweat and yes tears that goes into reaching this level, let alone the drive you gotta have to persevere and reach this level ,like Gene Simmons told the 43 year old that wanted to be famous " Dont ever start playing an instrument or a band to get famous,do it purely because you love it, and if fame is meant to happen, your perseverance will take you there.
Can we do this all over again 🤘 louder, no seriously if its possible, louder 🤘 love this band and time of my youth 🤘
Teacher: "so you didn't come to class because your cat died? Another time?"
Anthrax: "Which one of these words don't you understand?"
I don't usually listen to Anthrax, but it's just one of those days.
I first heard this song on the I'm the Man E.P. so awesome!
Seen anthrax in I think 2014 at mayhem dear when Slipknot headlined that year and Joey was singing for them I'm glad I got to see them play with him singing it wouldn't be the same otherwise
if you play this loud enough, it really works! never really had "listened" to Anthrax!
Danny Spitz is such an underrated lead metal guitar among the Big 4
one of my all time favorite songs
This is still an awesome collection....thank you ....✌️💪🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Love Anthrax…they always put on such a good show!
0:48 that dance move give me life
Still my favourite Anthrax song after all these years.
Was moshing a thing back in the 80's?
as far back at atleast the 70's with the likes of zeppelin, sabbath and savatage
Tobi Gough Really? I thought it started with 'slam dancing' with punks?
Great song live. Much energy. I was lucky to see these guys live at the Birchwood in Old Bridge, NJ during the Bush years thanks to my older brother
Joey Belladonna - vocals / Scott Ian & Dan Spitz - guitars / Frank Bello - bass / Charlie Benante - drums
Anthrax is like the Dragonforce of the 80s. Badass.
I wish Dan Spitz was still in Anthrax.
fuckkkk. que energia... grande Anthrax
Talking to you is like clapping with one hand....best line ever!
Still have my frank bello guitar pics from 89 concert at Miami arena where we went in back saw the tour bus and got all autographs on ticket stub
WHAT IS IT ?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
...CAUGHT IN A MOSH !!!!
If you like them in video, wait till you see them in concert, they are F*CKING AWSOME !!!!
Always ggod party
when these guys come to town, seen ' em 3x.
Man, I I have this exact live-song on my tape! Damn! (Better quality, of course)
Melhor baixista: 0:41
My #1 all time favorite METAL band + my #1 favorite ANTHRAX song.
They were very influential on my introduction to Thrash Metal.
STATE OF EUPHORIA is where it began for me. I've also got ANTHRAX tattooed on the side of my left forearm.
Hoping they cone back to Pittsburgh Pa USA when they can.
THIS SONG!!! Have only listened to it for 2 times and it was 5 months ago, still I had Caught In A Mosh stuck in my head all the time today!
