Noticed at 32:10 in the vid that John used Intel on the scatter so Ken used Evade but I noticed that he completely discarded it when it was green and not red. I don't know if it was just a slip up or something but just something I noticed.
One of the most memorable games of Armada I've played was turning Rift Ambush around on my opponent to let me close faster with black dice, it was a ton of fun and felt really cinematic. #summa
I was hoping to escape using the rift... alas, I needed one more turn to do so effectively. The gravity rift is a neat addition to Armada though and can definitely lead to some memorable outcomes. - Ken
Why would they. There are 2 upgrades that can turn other tokens into salvos. As long as Clone Wars dont get new ships I think its good for balance to let them have that unique edge
The idea was to swing around the Rift and then use the extra speed to escape. Unfortunately, I was not able to destroy the one Munificient fast enough and could not move out of the way. Landing on it with my GR-75 didn't help either. - Ken
when using thermal shield versus the mon karren, shouldnt it be the only defense token spent on that attack? because you salvo him after that for 3 damage xD
I have been curious how I could run Trench, really cool list. At the bottom of turn one you had a ship double arcing one of the rebel ships, but at the top of turn 2 you didn't go with that ship to take advantage of that. I was wondering if you could elaborate on your thoughts there. I am relatively new so just trying to wrap my head around the strategies of the game a bit more
Ok so went back and looked at it. The reason I didn't activate that ship is because it would have put it in a bad position. So I would have only been throwing 2 reds/3 reds at a ship that has double brace and evade. So more than likely it would have been only 1 damage 2 times on the side of the ship that none of my other ships would be able to hit. It than would have put me closer to the range brackets that ken would want to shoot me at. Also i was planning on using trench and engineering to heal and i allowed ken to shoot me 1st so that i had damage to heal. Hope that helps. -John
Sometimes when playng with the rift the special rules for movement don't affect the game. This time at least the rift was really used. Sometimes helping sometimes not... #armada

#ARMADA the muni is one of my favourite and most played ship. Just the fact that they can have thermal shields make them very tanky.

I forced him to reroll 2 dice so this is the correct usage.See RRG v1.5 pg 5 under "Evade."
Ah i see now. Just talked to a friend about the size rule when using tokens. My bad lol.

Ha ha. I'm a fan of Trench myself. The objective did create problems, but one or two different hits could have completely changed the game also.

Intense match. Those munificents became really tanky with those shields and trench. Cool to see.
Ouch, Salvo can hurt! It was a great mechanic to introduce into the game. Would be interesting to see how ships would be modified retroactively.
