TBH, Sephiroth is a piece of cake compared to Emerald and Ruby WEAPONs. Especially Ruby

@@alster724 that's not entirely accurate, Emerald and Ruby are unquestionably more difficult that bizzaro or safer sephiroth, unless you max level your characters or use knights of the rounds on synthesis, there's actually a whole system to those fights where bizarro gets more hp and regen to all the parts for that and safer gets a massive stat boost in addition to all the hp topping out at like 400k hp and near max defenses iirc, Ruby is actually super easy, if you decide to nope its mp with magic hammer stopping it from casting ultima, comet 2 or shadow flare
@@TheKusangi safer and bizzarro are both easier than ruby and emerald even when fully upgraded
And W-summoning/miming hades+KoTR on ruby makes it a meme fight

One Winged Angel is such a great song and a side effect of that is that this song is, sadly, often overshadowed. This is by far the most underrated songin FF7, its an absolutley stellar boss track.

MitzMitra I agree with you on that front another track that needs more attention is those chosen by the planet. That is Sephiroth’s actual theme but one winged angel gets more attention. It actually bothers me that they are using excerpts from one winged in the remake. The song lyrics. I feel it demeans the significance of one winged angel and over looks those chosen by the planet. You hear one winged angel once during the game for Sephiroth in his ultimate form. I’m sure it’s gonna be fine but one winged angel for that one specific part was always iconic. When it started you were like, “shyt just got real!” Then this angelic god Sephiroth drops down and tries to kill you even though a lot of his more memorable attacks couldn’t just outright kill you and caused status effects. I like to think that Cloud shout for Cid to heal everybody after a supernova and Barrett’s like he can’t

I like this better than one winged angel, but it's just because of overexposure to OWA

Was pleasantly surprises bizarro sephiroth made a comeback, and kind of sad birth of a god didn't. One-winged angel is iconic for a reason but this track is criminally underrated

It will definitely in part 3. The leitmotif from this song was used during the Shinra Building infiltration in the first game on the track Operation: Rescue Aerith. So I think they're saving this, Jenova Complete, and the proper One Winged Angel for the finale of the series

I always pick Tifa for this battle, it feels right to bring her to the final battle after what Sephiroth did to hers and Cloud's home. Vincent is my third option as he promised to Lucrecia to settle this chaos of a god.
First time I played through, I went Cloud, Barrett, Tifa. Seemed right to have the original 3 finish off the game.
On subsequent play throughout, I’ll keep Cloud and Barrett, but switch out the 3rd member.
Easiest finishes have come with Cid, Vincent, and Yuffie.
Hardest were Red and Cait Sith
Isnt there also changes in dialogue depending on who you chose? At least for the nibelheim portion it is, you have other dialogue if you have Tifa in your party and Vincent iirc
The way I see it, everyone fights the battle together and you being limited to 3 members is more of a gameplay mechanic
@@wyguy_figs2943 Or alternatively, if you beat Jenova Synthesis really fast under 12 turns, have Yuffie and Vincent, have level 45 or above for everyone and your team's average level is 68 or higher: you make three teams to fight Bizarro Sephiroth so literally everyone does fight him

I searched BIRTH OF A GOD in 2024 spring because I knew kind of thing appears to FF7 Rebirth related this music. I can't stop remind my childhood memories and so many feelings from this. Amazing. Thank you from Tokyo
I always feel like this song never got recognized for how good it was, and fell through the cracks due to being followed up by One Winged Angel. Now don’t get me wrong, I love OWA as much as the next guy, but I always wind up humming this song more often than that one. So it’s nice to see such a well done cover of this song that so few people seem to appreciate.
1:28 gave me such chills, always been my favorite part but you did it so well with those incredible instrumental

Yeah, really wish they used this more in spinoffs and all that. OWA is great, and I do prefer it over this theme overall, but it is so overused, while this theme just doesn't get the recognition it deserves. OWA kinda loses its impact when it gets used as the go to Sephiroth theme all the time.
One Winged Angel is a masterpiece, a lot of songs got overshadowed in FFVII because of it, which is a shame as there are so many other great songs.

You can really hear Uematsu's prog Rock inspirations starting at 0:33, it's there in the original too and it's so him. An absolute belter. Such an amazing drop in.
So much more interesting and evocative than the overuse of orchestra we see in everything nowadays that smothers sharp melodies.
What a remix! The battle made me go wide-eyed when I realised that I needed to deploy the rest of my party. I had to scrounge up utter junk to equip everyone at once. I eked out a victory, but I wasn't ready for the very final battle, so I had to go back and do a bit of grinding to get my team on form.
Personally, I'd like to see someone do a medley about Sephiroth's rise and fall, giving Sephiroth's various themes the same kind of treatment that Dancing Mad was given, starting with "Those Chosen By The Planet", then seamlessly transitioning to "J-E-N-O-V-A", then transitioning to "Birth of a God", then transitioning to "One Winged Angel", then finally, transitioning back to "Those Chosen By The Planet" at the end to symbolize Cloud's ultimate triumph over Sephiroth.
One of my favorite Sephiroth themes. Very underrated. My main team fighting him was Cloud, Tifa, and Vincent. Then team two consisted of Barrett, Red XIII, and Cid (Avalanche time mofos!) and third team Yuffie and Cait Sith. FF7 will always be one of my favorite RPGs next to Legend of Dragoon.

I feel like it's less a remake and more of a remix. Since the original notes and instruments are still present, (also ff7 remake exists now) with new elements and choir mashup does make it a fantastic piece.

@@LordMalice6d9 I'm pretty sure they're gonna follow the same formula that Final Fantasy 7 had. The story is going to have some changes but I doubt they're going to stray that far and create a brand new story. It's just gonna be FF7's story, but a few things will be a little different about it.

Shit. I actually did some searching online, and this remake is the best out there. Like, I love Powerglove and their version... but damn, this one takes the cake. The melody, the quality, it's also really faithful... and the moment with the bells, just the feeling I had fighting Sephiroth in this phase. Congrats! You did a 10/10 here! :)

Hate to be the negative in the sea of positive, but in the original it left a lasting impression because of the beginning of the song, - a clear well defined tone, here its deafened and it feels underwhelming. Sure its a good song but it doesnt have that feel to it of incredible danger ahead of you. At times like 1:16 it feels like there are layers upon layers of sound laid on each other drawning out beauty of each individual sound making it a cacophony that is so unlike of my favourite song from ost. Its like those games where there are a hundred things on screen going off at the same time - many are needless clutter.
I understand that you worked hard on this, and it is quite good, but i honestly prefer the original (mostly because of how it opens and future reuse of the same sample later in the song, why is it deafened?).

Agreed. I love this song and one of my favorite parts of it is the synth at the beginning, and I have yet to find a remix that recreates that part of the song to be as good as it was in the original. Otherwise this is still a good remix.
Such an amazing piece however its one of those easily forgettable ones. Until you hear it again and remember the sheer awesomeness
Damn... Imagine using a really long cut of this as background music for the final battle of a lengthy tabletop campaign.
Using all of the characters in this fight feels so epic, because I can imagine a lot going on like Sephiroth trying to fight all of them at once and every character is using Advent Children moves to defeat him, this would have to have a huge budget if they're going to recreate this fight in the final Remake installment... It'll probably fail, actually. Who knows what they would do...?
So far after hearing the fighting theme in the remake I wonder what Sephiroth's themes will sound like, this and one winged angel
