Greetings from Poland and the invitation to Off Festival again.
I'm happy to see you all, my dear teachers!
Я шчаслівы зноў бачыць вас, мае дарагія настаўнікі!
I never knew I would love Klezmer music till I was introduced to John Zorn several years ago. Now I truly love it.
This music warms my soul! Could easily imagine it playing at a Karneval party. Great band!
Whenever I hear Klezmer music, after a few minutes I start to dance inside of me :) Thank you!
Frank London is the best!
Klezmer makes all of me dance, not just my body.
Damn finally! Been listening to these guys for a good decade
Love it ! Better in person for sure!
This is so good, I love the Klezmatics
The Klezmatics are simply the BEST! Their music makes me dance (even if it's only in my mind), it makes my heart sing and also cry, and it nourishes my soul. You all mean so much to me, for so long....and Lorin, you will always be the definitive "voice of an angel." Wonderful questions and answers in this broadcast as well. Thank you!
Didn't know how much I needed this today! Beautiful.
YES!
I play Gershwin and klezmer music with a pianist. We plan to play for elder housing in the boston area.
We call ourselves the Zingers
I came across Itzak Perlmans 2 Kelzmer CDs done with the Kelzmatics and other Kelmer groups about a year ago. I love it. Can't understand the lyrics since they are in Yiddish and I'm Catholic, but the music is wonderful.
Internet web sites have Yiddish
lyrics & English trsnslations fir more popular of songs.
Yiddish is not a religious language per se.
Lorin as well!
As soon as I heard this I was expecting Lucie Pohl to appear from outta nowhere and start dancing

What is the host referring to? There’s antisemitism, but it’s been confused with pro-Palestinian protesters. Pro-Palestinian protests are NOT antisemitic. Please be specific.
Wikipedia says that there are now 77! Semitic peoples & languages in W Asia & Horn of Africa. Arabs
Jews etc. are all Semitic!!
Well, if you were to pay any attention at all to this video, you’d learn that it was uploaded in January of 2023.
Contrary to what you might think, there is more to the Jewish diaspora than the conflict in the Levant. I understand that you found something to latch on to, but maybe read a book or two and learn about the antisemitism the host is “referring to.”
what kind of music is this?
Klezmer
