I was in Saudi Arabia, every evening during r month of ramadan we wud watch this program together. My parents loved it. This was the glorious 80s when life was beautiful and we found joys in simple things. So many of these legnds have since left us; ranjeet, ali, mr. Brown, taro, juan, gladis, mrs. Courtney, sid...they all took that part of us with them. May Allah's blessing be upon them all for the joy and laughter they brought into our lives.

Three things that I loved about this show : 1- None of the characters had any “doubts” about their gender . 2- Every single one of the characters was fully heterosexual . 3- They were proud of their religion . The teacher or principal never told the students “You’re forbidden from speaking about your religion”. Man, what a great show ! I didn’t discover it until recently (I’m not from the UK), but I must say this show was phenomenal!

I did learn many new words and idiomatic English in this episode. It's a great and fun sitcom and all characters are great performers.

I agree with you. This program should DEFINITELY be PLAYED IN HOSPITALS and HOMES. Why not put forward this suggestion on the news into the media so that people are happy and recover quickly. As long as they don’t come up with stupid ideas about embarrassing to all communities or whatever nonsense. I’m Asian and all my family and friends enjoyed is so much when we were kids. 🌸
