We have one that was abandoned by her family and showed up and demanded to be fed. I couldn't believe someone would dump a beautiful spayed cat but they did. One problem we have other cats and she acted as if she had never met another cat in her life! It has taken a few months but we have a truce where everyone is happy.
I have two dilute calico kittens. Spring is long haired, Storm short haired. Both are characters. The BEST cat I ever had was a calico named Pepper. She was the perfect cat.
So far I have had at least eight cats that were either calico or tortoiseshell. I love all cats and terribly miss all who wait at the rainbow bridge, but some of my most special were among these eight. Most were sweet natured. One, however, was dubbed our “watch cat” as she would growl to alert us if someone was approaching our door. She was sweet with us, of course, but was not fond of strangers and remained on alert if they were admitted to our home. 🐈❤❤
My mom, saw a guy giving away free kittens at a Walmart parking lot. I immediately ran up there because a couple of hours before, I had just said that “I think that if I was to get a cat, it would be a calico” and lo and behold they were calicos - I got two of them, and gave one to my niece, I am so excited and look forward to my journey as a kitty mom!!!
Yes, her mother dropped her off at the kitchen door ,she was 9 weeks.Now she is 18. Her name is Sissy. She is such on angel.We live in Maryland and feel very blessed to have her in our life.
We've recently saved a kitten from starvation , fleas , and worms. Shes a calico ! Geez probably no older the 6 weeks . I have a very rambunctious puppy , whom , I hope benefits from her. So far , little more then a week has passed , and i consider her a very very lucky kitten ! Maybe I'm suppose to keep her! Didn't imagine I could before! Though of course we had to take her in and clean and feed her ! So shes lucky even for herself!
I adopted my calico from our Humane Society she was only 2 months old when o brought her home she is so my girl she just turned 2 yrs old she has 2 older cats that she runs them around the house but she is my best friend
We have acquired a semi feral garage Calico cat. I assume the cat is female until proven otherwise. Her name is Topaz. She got accustomed to a litter box and cat food immediately. She will only come out to eat for me, though she keeps her distance. Hopefully she will be comfortable enough to become an indoor cat.
Yes we are and Kelly is a wonderful cat. Her and our puppy play often all the time. She is a pure pleasure. Thanks for your great videos and I'll keep watching and happy New Year!
My Calico is Little Miss Kitty. She adopted my Chihuahua puppy and continues to groom her. She won't have anything to do with the second even though she is the full sister of the first but from the next litter. If I am slow to rise she gallops around the house which stirs the dogs for a game of chasey. Guaranteed to get me up and serve breakfast.
