Philip I really like your workstation. You can keep an eye on your ROR and easy to adjust the roaster. Can't wait to get my Cormorant in January!

excellent! thank you. dumb question: is the mastech dvm taking the place of a Phidget?

Yes but I no longer use it - use VINT HUB and TMP 1101_01

@@beanobsessedroasters9073 thank you. i currently have an air roaster and ready to upgrade. was considering a small step, like the behmor or the gene.....maybe the hottop. but the cormorant seems to check all the boxes and overcome shortcomings of the 'cheaper' ones (albeit 2x the price of the hottop). is there a blog site where i can post some newbie questions about this roaster? nothing beats real world experience.

@@michaelelder9821 Plenty of users over on Home Barista in the roaster forum or if you put yourself on the waiting list which doesn't cost anything, but is fairly long - you can join the Facebook page.

In each video you use a different charge temperature. Does that depend on the kind of bean you're roasting, environment temp or are you just experimenting?

Charge temp - will vary according to charge weight, bean density/size, altitude it was grown at, moisture content, ambient temperature and also the desired length of roast.
