Have y'all heard of the "Hug Your Dad" Strategy in the final fight of Hades? Apparently, during the super blasty fire beam attack Hades does, you can stand really close to him inside the ring of fire and you don't take damage... LITERALLY HUGGING YOUR DAD!!! XD
It's a core strategy to speedruns, especially in our Fresh File category. It's fun! However, you have to be directly in front of him or behind him, because if you're too close to the shoulders it'll push you back. Another thing is the slight push back from your cast animation will cause you to eat lasers. Sick cover man.
I swear, this song is such an effective way of injecting energy into me. Not only because of the music itself, but it also brings back memories of the adrenaline, rage and anxiety induced final fight when I finally managed to beat phase 3 Hades. Legit ended the fight almost shaking and just remembering it wakes me up.
I remember my second clear of Hades I managed to scrape through with 1 HP and no DD left... my heart rate was so high, that when I managed to get the kill, I legit had to lay down for a full ten minutes to calm myself back down...

Well... After hearing this song I went and tried to fight extreme measures hades and I made it to him after half an hour with king Arthur's sword, I got him to the second phase and was like right about to kill him when the game crashed and I lost the run entirely... That one really hurt the soul.

he actually counters that strategy with his knockback waves in EM4 (dad THREE), so unfortunately he does not want to hug anymore :(

Been on a grind to get a 32 heat win before Hades 2 comes out and MAN the first EM4 clear gave me an adrenaline rush that few games have given me 😅

I recommend it! It's controller breakingly difficult though. Not from rage tho, I wore my dodge button out on that game.
