@@SaintBehelitprobably really disorienting if you could make it work. You'd probably have to do some tuplet fuckery since there's no 7th notes, but if you forced it it would probably be hard to get a feel for
You know how parents insist you pause a game to help them with the house chores? It'd be hilarious to have to explain to them that the final boss is literally Chronos, Titan of Time, and so the develepors thought it funny to make it impossible to pause.
how my god this happened to me. I had a busted build with the axe but my mom called me to do something in the middle of the fight. In a hurry, I "paused" the game and left. When I came back I was at the crossroads. Suffice to say I was very confused.
if you're playing on PC, you can hit the windows key to bring up your browser and it will pause the game anyway. I've done it plenty of times in the middle of Chronos after hitting pause, and gave him a little one finger salute while doing so lmao Titan of Time can't stop getting put on time out
of course the time signature shenanigans make this song super unique already, but i love for how a final boss theme it *starts* super fast paced and high adrenaline, and then transitions into a slower more haunting track for the second phase. really hammers home how different of a personality chronos is to hades, and the presence he commands to subvert expectations like that and finish out the fight with a song full of anticipation and dread, rather than at the start.
My interpretation on this is that the tracks kinda follows the view of Melinoë, like the first phase is "finally i'm catching up to him, i've spend my whole life trying this" and so it's very energic and fast, but then there's second phase and there there's a feel of menace, because you're only halfway done... But as the music continues the motif comes back (which includes Hades' one), and so does the hope of winning.
@@livenishikireaction ...well if you must. Joking aside, I would love to have the Ωμέγα stuff work properly on him.... but I guess he is being a bit Titan-ish about the whole thing.
@@zoheirzozo2765it’s the time signature. Most songs you know are 4/4, which means they’re written such that every measure has four beats and it’s proportioned such that a quarter note is a beat. So, four quarter notes is a measure. You hear it you can count the one, two, three, four, one, two, three four… 25/8 means that, counting off eighth notes, there are… twenty-five beats per measure. This is what musicians call “satanic witchcraft.”
The time signatures in this soundtrack are all over the place. Fitting, considering the Titan of Time doesn't seem to like doing work and keeping things running normally.
Is it being in 25/8 word of Korb? The way the accents fall I hear three measures of 6/8 and one 7/8 like the helpful bunny said, with a big drop after the four bar phrase to reset the pattern.
So…yes, it’s 3 6/8s and then a 7/8. What makes it 25/8 is that you actually want to feel each segment as 2 beats rather than 8. So four segments of 2 with 6,6,6, and 7 is 25/8. If you wanna clap it out with your hands, clap on 1 and 4 of each 6/8 and then 1 and “3 and” on the 7/8. 8BitDrummer here is feeling the segments out in 2 and bobbing his head to it if that helps you understand.
I haven't really heard, played or listened to it but...I have a weird...jet set radio vibes from certain sections of it? not even sure if thats correct "match" on 0:56
I haven't considered it a 25/8 I have counted 3 measures 6/8 into 7/8 and back in the verse of the second part the intro is in my opinion 4 bars of 6/8 aka 24 hours, which is followed by a half tempo 3/4 twice and a 4/4 half tempo twice, and then the 7/8 verse starts I also noticed that the measure after the second repeat of the leitmotif it is uptempo 8/8 it also has uptempo 6/8 in the second half, which is the first line of my comment
25/8 One more hour than there is in a day, and one more day than there is in week. Strangely appropriate for the titan of time.
when broken down it becomes 6/8, 6/8, 6/8, 7/8
also a pretty cool hidden thing there XD
Maybe the 25th is the witching hour
Man makes his own schedule!

This theme being 25/8 is the definition of "Someone cooked here."
