On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.

It would have been as if the Skyhawk pilot wasn’t paying attention.

You know, at first they would each be furious at being rammed. But that long, slow flight to the ground might just give each of them a chance to reflect on the situation.
Hopefully, as they approached each other on the ground, both would be smiling and laughing at each other. Mutual respect and simply being thankful they were alive.
I imagine an exchange of rations and funny stories, while waiting to be picked up by your own helicopter. Hopefully, the chivalry of mutual combat would take over.....
Would they greet each other with "GG" and then start shooting other with their hand guns? Maybe take photos, exchange pilot licence numbers and insurance companies.
Settle it with a bout of fisticuffs like gentlemen.

I believe Argentina still flies the A-4, dubbed the A-4AR 'Fightinghawk', that were upgraded and modified here in the US, and used almost exclusively for the ground attack role. The avionics upgrade came from the F-16, and the 'Fightinghawk' designation is a nod to that.

That collision made me jump.. that looked very brutal in the replay.
Surprised the engine could even stay working after that first game when it got shot seeing that Harrier/AV8 engines tend to overheat ALOT.
The Harrier pilot is lucky that he didnt have a Jester in the back punching out after getting hit.
I'm always impressed by the flight dynamics modeled after mid-air collisions in this sim

In a GS dogfight, expect to expect the unexpected.
In the harrier, my best experience dogfighting is keeping as much altitude as possible, pulling high aoa, and using those nozzles to slow down as fast as possible and force the nose around(or an overshoot) to get a shot and force the other guy defensive, then nozzle back-nose down to regain speed quickly, and do it again and again until hitting ground level where I like to keep the nozzles just slightly down to keep the other pilot confused with the weird maneuvering lol
Also worth noting that the Argentines were operating a different A-4 variant than is depicted as the Argentines were operating primarily A-4Bs and C's, both of which had only 3 pylons, and also without the notable hump in the fuselage seen in later models.
I love how you cut out abruptly when getting hit like that. Not to sound morbid but it really makes you think about how immediate and sudden death can be.
Easily some of my favorite content on youtube, the videos are always so engaging and so rewatchable! Your channel is the whole reason I personally have gotten into DCS because the way you play makes it look incredibly fun and exciting.

Worth noting that the Sea Harrier had a Blue Fox radar and was designed for air-air fleet defence vs ground attack AV-8B
I thought the rules of engagement required you to have mauled the target with guns before using Fox2's. Am I missing something?
I didn't see the other chute until the end-replay. Thought for sure you came out on top for that one, if only by virtue of making it out of the plane.

Best content on youtube, I don't even play DCS, but, somehow I find these soooo entertaining, fun and relaxing to watch, on top of that, now, I have a somewhat basic understanding on "how to dogfight" and on how to fight on BVR combat, even some fighting terminology, things I never thought I would learn, so yeah, thank you GS, this is awesome.❤

The epic ending music that usually plays over a triumphant GS dropping flairs in a victory roll instead playing over two planes that got just a shade too friendly with one another fucking killed me.
That last shot of the two pilots parachuting after ejecting, I'm imagining they continue the fight verbally. "Why the **** did you ram me?!?!" "You rammed me!!!"🤣🤣

The A4 has some weird voodoo on it. I remember that Falklands video where both sidewinders he each other and the A4 came out of the fireball like a boss.

Then off to NAS Lemoore and WestPac with VA-147. What a ride it was.

If you would have been at about 10,000 feet or higher you might have been able to save the aircraft. Still some amazing flying from both of you very well done. I still recommend F-4 vs Bandit Unknown 4 rounds.

SO many times planes have come close but this is the first collision that I"ve seen where both planes were damaged. I think the A10 had another thunderbolt bounce off him and one more, I can't remember. . .
I think it was a P-51 that ricochet'd off the A-10. Thunderbolt2 was fine. haha !

afterburner would have helped with the loaded take off too.
Putting a GE F404 afterburning turbofan into the Scooter would be fun, the ones with the non-afterburning F404s could outdrag a F-5E, apparently.
On that last fight after you both punched out, pull a hard, diagonal slip in his direction and land before him and then go on the hunt.
Round 1 was almost criminal--he was venting more smoke than a Cuban cigar convention, but still managed to score the win. But Round 3 was another fine example of Famous Last Words--"...bring him in close...: WHAM! 😄
