What a great day Yellowtailing!! As if the Mutton wasn't a miracle in itself!! Way to go, brother! Thanks for taking me along! You didn't have time to get bored!
Such an epic fishing adventure! The enthusiasm and energy you bring to every catch is truly infectious. Keep slaying it out there! One more thing those fillets look great!
Super video! Not a thing missing. Exciting and informative. Plenty of material to feed your own imagination. Enjoyed the complete video. Thanks for your artful efforts.
Awesome day on the water! Seeing your genuine reaction to your epic fishing day was fun to see. Definitely have to cook the yellowtail the same way again it was amazing!
1. You should flour first, then egg wash, then flour again, or breadcrumbs, cracker crumbs, or corn flake crumbs. 2. Two lemons is too much. Less is more. 3. You’re crowding the pan. Only cook a couple at a time. That’s why they aren’t browning because you’re boiling breaded fish in lemon juice and wine. The cold fish is bringing down the temperature inside the pan. Either poach them skinless that way, or fry them in butter and seasoning to make them crispy. Then deglaze the pan with wine and lemon juice to make the sauce. You’re welcome 😉
I always get a sticker from FWC every year and put it on my boat. That keep them from inspecting my boat Everytime i go out. Put it on your boat after the registration number
@@MaritimeExpeditions That Mahi jump sequence was epic . Perfect camera angle for shot . I'd rather be lucky than good , but you did great . Tight Lines ...
what a tremendous video back in the 90s lived in naples used to make the trip to islamorada and spend 2 weeks fishing on a party boat twice a year it was called the caloosa we used sandballs exclusively one trip some front was coming the bite was hot since the per angler limit on yellowtail was10 the boat limit was high I brought home 27 yellowtail almost all flags and threw back lots of keepers that day it was the most fun fishing you can imagine the line rippin thru your hand flipping back the bail and boom, this video had my heart thumping like that day. what a day for you. thanks
I've never been saltwater/deep-sea fishing, but I've had a growing interest lately. Been watching videos to try and learn more. This is the first video I've watched that was longer than 10 to 15 minutes and the first I've watched from start to finish. Kept my interest the entire video and I learned so much. Thank you for your content. I have questions but am now going straight to your channel to watch more. St. Petersburg, Florida
Best fishing trip I ever took, was a yellow tail trip in Key West. The captain found a school of 3 to 5 pounders. I didn't really know how special that was. My two friends and I limited out by noon and went and put some black fin tuna in the boat.
Bro, I don't know ocean fishing or fish but I like your channel, That was an awesome fish, I don't know if the fish you caught were rare but they look soo cool. Also, you know why I like your channel? Because you're having so much fun by yourself, catching fish!! I love it! SUBSCRIBED.
If you get a school of Mahi the first one you catch tie it to the boat and leave in the water. You'll catch everyone of them and the bulls usually out of the main school a bit. Just a tip for anyone who doesn't know 🤙
Typically I would but since I was by myself and wanted to definitely get that bigger sized one in I just focused on him. But that is definitely a good technique when you have some smaller dolphin on!
I love fishing but I can’t go on my own because I’m disabled and my daughter took my boat and won’t bring it back I live in Huger SC right by the coast and I’ve always enjoyed the life out on the water I wish I could get someone to take me out fishing again! I wish you were closer I would go out with you!
Love this video beautiful catch brother good stuff 💪🏽. Your pasta looks amazing definitely want to catch some fish like this soon keep up the great videos
Pretty work bro!!Was fishing the patch reefs west of Key West near Western Dry Rocks and had a 40lb Bull and two teener Cows in 9ft of water it was a trip and of course we were bugging out and the customers were lookung at me like whats the big deal 😂😂 Dolphin inside the reef is a trip!!!So a little hack for measuring for legal Yellowtails put them across the top of a 5 gallon bucket nose on the inside edge of the bucket and if his tail fits inside the bucket throw him back. Standard 5 gal buckets are like 12.5 so it keeps you safe. Also when you make that chum mixture pour a cup of Menhaden Oil in it, makes a killer slick!! Happy to hear you say "give me a Cero" super underrated eating fish fried or sashimi!!!! That Bonita would have been butterflied and stuck to the bottom 😂 dropping those rods all over the deck is making my ocd flare 😂😂😂 days like you had by yourself are the best man, such a blast. By the way your filleting skills dont suck! And you nailed it, NOTHING thinner than Linguine!! That looked so fire!!!
Thanks man! And that’s crazy, mahi on the reef always get me fired up. And that’s a cool trick with the bucket thanks for that tip! And yea man Cero mackerel sashimi is 🔥🔥and yea trust me the boat was a total mess It was stressing me out too but the fishing was so hot I never had time to get cleaned up. And yes sir no angel hair in this house! It was a great recipe man definitely try It out sometime!! Thanks again for watching and commenting, really appreciate It!
@@MaritimeExpeditions its one of my fave Snapper recipes!! I fish for a living in the Keys and enjoyed your video, try adding some Menhaden oil to that chum its a game changer!!
Awesome video brother! New subscriber from Tampa🤙🏼You know you are doing well when you surprise FWC! Cooking the fish had my mouth watering while im up here only catching sheepshead 😂
Great video. Super entertaining. You are a great angler with the right instincts. Mahi is always mayhem, keep your cool if you can and you’ll catch more. Best of luck with your TH-cam channel!
Great video and epic day !! I noticed you tossed the anchor without a break away setup. On that style anchor you’ll lose it if snags rocks. Try tying it off from the back end of the anchor and zip tie the chain to the front eyelet. The zip ties will break away if it gets snagged on rocks and you can pull it out in the reverse direction.
Agreed! Definitely would have been the way to go. Didn’t have my zipties with me and wasn’t factoring that my trolling motor wouldn’t be able to hold me. I kinda just threw It in sand and hoped for the best 😂. But definitely will remember my zipties next trip! Thanks for watching!
Appreciate that!! It was an epic day! And thank you haha I’ve actually been getting some heat for being nice to those guys😂 things work out better when they are in a good mood!
Man, Florida has some beautiful looking fish! Dont get those kind of colors here in NE. Surprised your Minn Kota wasnt keeping up, must have some serious current there. I have a single battery Minn Kota and have never had a situation that it hasn't out performed. Maybe a 5-10 foot drift during heavy winds and current, but as soon as it gets a second break, im right back on target. Minn Kota was the best investment on the boat, even better then the fish finder.
Thank you! And yea it’s just a thrust issue with the 24 volt system and only an 80 lb thrust motor. Just wasn’t enough to keep up with the heavy current. But agreed the trolling motors nowadays are a must have
I see you are rocking the AVAIL gear! Clay and Stephanie would be proud! LOL. I have my Grady White by Penneykamp right now. Just need to learn how to fish better! Would love to go out and fish sometime! You seem like you are having a good time and very genuine!
@ it’s a really big cost going from 24 to 36. I’m really not feeling it right now now I don’t get to fish down in the ocean but 5 weeks or so a year. Mostly lakes with very little current, but I have noticed a big difference in the 31s interstate batterys
Thanks for watching! Just a little joke about how they were impressed with the mutton and probably wanted to take It home with them haha! Thanks for subscribing!
Next time that happens with the dolphin through your bait back behind the boat and let rodney the rod holder hold it, chances are the cow would have come back and eaten it. This happened to me once off Islamorada same thing 60' Yellow Tail fishing. Good job you had a bigger rod at the ready. Great video and editing.
I know! I was too scared to lose the nice fish I had on to try and go for the double. But It probably would have happened that way! And that’s crazy! Thank you for watching!
Some questions for you. Do you ever guide the public on your boat? I would be interested. What is your range for using your boat? Meaning is it only near Key Largo.
I do not have my captains license personally so I can’t guide anyone just yet. But many of my family members are charter captains and can definitely take you out for an amazing day of fishing like this if you are interested! My boat holds about 60 gallons so I can run around 80-100 Miles in a day so I can go all over luckily!
It’s a bit of a mix haha but the smaller setups were a star rod with a penn clash 4k or the bully bay rod with the shimano vanford 3k. And the bigger rod had a shimano thunnus
