People are leaving because you can't afford to live in Raleigh North Carolina they want you to make 3 times the rent which means you have to work 3.5 jobs just to get approved for an apartment, one bedrooms are going for $1400-$2000 a month a studio apartment the size of a broom closet is going for $1000- $1100 a month this shit is ridiculous and they wonder why so many families and individuals are homeless, you have to choose to pay rent or eat and as high as rent is and as low as pay is you will absolutely get no help from Social Services they don't care ..all these homeless families and they actually make you wait to be put on a housing list for 5 damn years and don't offer any other kind of housing Assistance they claim to have all these programs but most if not all have no funding to help ..the economy is getting better for who? Not us regular ass working ,struggling to survive people....smdh...
And the minimum wage is still freaking $7. I can't believe it doesn't look like the west coast it does as far as houseless people go. I've watched it explode where I live in the PNW.
Its a great place to live lived in Cary, Zebulon and back to the DMV. apple is a gift and cures
Everyone I know is moving there! I’m joining myself in 5 months
It is almost impossible for younger people to find starter homes. No one is even building them anymore. $300,000 for a condo or townhome is not im most people's price range. Same with older couples wishing to downsize. No smaller homes available or reasonably priced.

I moved from LA and left the streets behind to have peace and calmness in my life then people moved to Raleigh and they are mad, angry, inpatient and are negative from their environment of where they came from and brought it here. It’s starting to look trashy and graffiti, trash everywhere but it’s expected with this kind of move
I’m leaving Raleigh because I’m building a house in Wilmington and now I need a real estate agent to sale my current home.
Congrats on the Wilmington house! We would love to help you sell your Raleigh house. Feel free to give us a call or text 919-964-0474
@@LivinginRaleighTV I’m literally about to call you in an hour 😂
Would love to know if you have a fixer upper for $150,000 ?
We don’t currently but we can certainly help you find one but likely 45 min from Raleigh! Give us a call or text 919-964-0474
FYI Pittsboro is closed. LOL
No one want to live in that racist city 😂
Not racist to me, but the cost of living is just as high as Raleigh
Raleigh North Carolina is my home , I moved out of Raleigh because Raleigh is not all that a place with people with bad bad awful attitudes , I moved to Las Vegas Nevada and I Love Love Love it here in Nevada Beautiful Beautiful ❤ Place , I bought a Beautiful home with no Problems 👍👍👍👍 Very Happy I left North Carolina ,
After moving to NC, I would never ever go back to Nevada. Vegas is trash… and the rest of the state is just… a desert. People in NC are nice and welcoming. Affordable, plus the greenery and weather are just beautiful!
@@GarzaB yes they are nice and friendly if you are WHITE , I am from NC so I already know how the people / State is I was born and raised in NC , glad I left never to return never could buy a house , was in Las Vegas Nevada only 3 months and was able to buy a 4 bedroom 3.5 bathroom with 0 problems , my house is just Beautiful !!! 👍 Best to you in NC , I am very very happy in Nevada , all the houses in my neighborhood are beautiful ,
@@GarzaB you are 100% right the people are nice but Only if you are White if you are any other race you are just the A__ , of a joke ! Bye ,
Thank you for the inspiration. I am originally from California, am currently living in NC (Triad area), have had nothing but bad experiences here and want to leave. Eyeing, Nevada...

@@ilovemytribe Hello 👋 and you are welcome ! I very much understand , I have not been back to Raleigh NC sense I left nothing but 💩 there , glad I moved sorry NC is my home but I left was tied of the BS and the sorry attitudes 360 , Nevada is alright with me 👍👍👍 ❤️ Very nice and Beautiful not stressful like NC , you will love it a new way of life , I live in a very very nice community 👍 😊 Best to you my friend !!! Keep going ,
It doesnt feel like people are leaving. We still have the worst people moving to this city. The traffic, the people moving here is awful.
Inflation is everywhere, not only around the US, but globally. In some countries even worse. The value of the dollar, euro and other currencies went down, because every government is printing money.
Try living in Southern California! Theres no comparison
We're in CA and planning to move to Cary/Apex/Holly Springs next spring. I grew up in a rural area, and although I've been a Californian for more than 10 years, I would love love love to live in a place where i can chat with my neighbors, and my kids be able go in and out of our house with their friends. The Raleigh suburbs are so much more affordable than SF suburbs, and i think the education is much much better in Cary/Apex. CA has become too woke and expensive. The only good thing here is the weather.
Most schools in Cary/Apex are currently capped due to the population booms in those areas. Your kids may have to drive or be bused up to 45mins away to a school district outside of the one your home is in.
GOD ! PLEASE 🙏 DONT MOVE HERE , YOUR PART OF THE PROBLEM. WE ARE FULL
@@lavarabattle9762 Yall need to stop with this. The problem is bigger than just people moving in. We are all americans, and the housing issues are widespread across the usa. Don't hate your neighbors because the politicians let blackrock buy up all the homes.
californians are not welcome.
You’ll rarely chat with a neighbor. Raleigh has changed in the last 10 years. I don’t even know who my neighbors are, sadly.
I truly hate all the people moving into areas of the south ruining it I wasn’t born in Raleigh but I grew up here and it’s just not the same anymore.
Wish they would leave Wake and JOCO. Was a great place pre 2018 and Apple, Amazon, and Meta ruined it.
It's not the traffic, no one knows how to drive, there is zero reason for the traffic. People cant merge or use off ramps.
It's a little city, that is it's charm. We don't have the infrastructure for the boom.
I’m in the Midwest and it’s a buyers market, it has finally switched its looking like the 2008 time now. Homes sitting for months to a year. For sale signs everywhere and open houses. Unless your home is top 1% best location with home style top notch it’s not moving. It’s still not the best time to buy, it’s just starting it took until 2010-2011 best savings. War, new president issues, depression still on its way with dollar losing a lot of buying power. 2025 will be the year to wait and see. Plus the boomers are in their late 60’s and mid 70’s that will need and have to down size their homes or assisted living in 10 years or so.
With insurances, HOA's and taxes increasing, global warming, tornadoes , hurricanes, derechos... Insurances don't want to pay when you in need. Crime, food shortages, overvalued stock market, falling dollar and inflation.... I think I'm just gonna rent and be mobile
Another reason people are leaving the Raleigh area because they move it to Charlotte because I got a sports team. Another reason people are leaving the Raleigh area and moving to Charlotte is the skyline. Raleigh Skyline look like a suburb. If they can't afford Charlotte to go to the South Carolina area.
I'm not sure what it is you're trying to say with your lack of diction -- I do know, from your wordplay alone, that you don't seem to be the right type of person for Raleigh or Charlotte.
Um, Raleigh DOES have a pro-sports team. The hurricanes. Im not much of a pro hockey fan but their games sell out fast. If people want to go see an NFL/NBA game, Charlotte is just a day trip away. If you base where you want to live off of "they got a sports team", you won't go far in life lol. Raleigh is known for an educated population and good jobs.
@@BLKShadow people go to Raleigh for education and come back to Charlotte to live and have fun cuz Raleigh is boring. We're out Durham and Chapel Hill you can't compete with Charlotte
@@jarvisstradford7211 I know several people who moved to Charlotte and left because they didn't like it. What you failed to mention is that Wake County (Raleigh) surpassed Mecklenburg County (Charlotte) in population years ago, yes, Wake County is bigger, as well as the school system. Yes, Wake County school system is bigger than Mecklenburg County. Plus, income is higher in Raleigh, better school system, as well as colleges. And no, my college roommate at NC State , who graduated from West Charlotte High, had no desire to move back to Charlotte after graduating from college, as well as other colleagues from Charlotte. By the way, people go to Atlanta to have fun.
@@humblebee4 it ain't that much
Everyone wants to mentioned California and ny to compared their city lol
California and NY / NJ transplants have ruined Raleigh (Wake County)
I actually came from California & had been here for a year.
If folks leave, the rent drops.
Thats what we want.
Bring back $700 rent & $1100 Mortgages.
Leaving due to no major sports? Who did this man survey??
Hmm...are they moving because of the horrible drivers?? Something needs to be done about it. I see reckless driving daily in Raleigh. People going way over the speed limit weaving in and out of lanes. It's terrible! I have never seen anything like it. Even when I was in Vegas. The drivers here are worse.
Yeah it’s overpriced! Most of us know that
Because it's boring?
What do they say about opinions again??????
Raleigh is peaceful, charming, and SAFE.
People say Charlotte is fun, but there’s 10 times the crime, people get mugged, it smells like weed in half of the city, and people can’t drive
No one is leaving raleigh 😏😏😒😒😒
People move out the city to live a better life…… not because of affordability. Living in a city sucks and dangerous
Pros and cons everywhere
