I loved Morrisville as a renter. Lived practically on the same street of the airport and it was so convenient. I enjoyed seeing the planes fly over the buildings and everytime I landed I would try to spot our apartment lol. Would move back in a second if I were renting. As a homeowner I would never live there. All the homes are so close to each other.

Lots of good tips there!
A couple of surprises too.
1. I had thought that Cary would be quiet during the daytime, when all the techies were at work.
2. The scale of new build is astonishing .. it seems that anyone seeking an older established home with a bit of land is going to be disappointed.
3. I hadn't realised that a day out at the beach would be do-able .. but it seems that the beach is under 2 hours away from Clayton.

Clayton might not be a good fit for you if you like good restaurants. We don't have any.

Do "up-and-coming" towns turn into "completely built out" towns (like Cary) within 2 years, or does it generally take longer than that?
It generally takes a really long time. Cary took decades and still isn't fully built out. There is still a lot of open space even in Cary.

The overhead view at the 5:18 mark is horrific. Talk about no space at all lmao
Lets be honest folks. The traffic and congestion around the Triangle is NEARLY on par with Atlanta. I lived in Raleigh (inside beltline) for 14 years, but the area was getting crazy even back then- 20 years ago. I moved West to a culturally rich rural type area, and never once regretted leaving Raleigh and the Triangle. I do not miss anything, except the months of May and October for weather in the Triangle, and I do NOT miss the traffic and cookie cutter developments. Life is good away from the Triangle.

Lol. Good to know. I know Atlanta and that’s a good reference for me. I def don’t want to wind up in the same annoying crowds and congestion I’m already in when I move. I think I’d like to be “close enough” but not right in the middle of all of it.

That's because of all of the damned yankees.
We are retiring in a few years and are planning to retire in the Raleigh area (with young adult kids). Would love a video about the area from a retiree perspective, but not looking to live in older adult communities.

Cary's a peaceful and quiet town. The traffic in Cary is average compared to most growing towns with similar populations. Please stop putting down Cary because you're from a small town.
Cary is the 3rd largest city in the Triangle with nearly 200,000 people. It is not a quiet town. We have never put Cary down in any video, if fact, we’ve made more videos praising Cary than just about any city in NC.
Cary has a lot of crime, unfortunately. Too many sketchy areas....
Cary’s new park on Academy street is awesome. The whole area with restaurants entertainment etc.
Containment Area For Relocated Yankees used to be the nickname.
Cary USED to be a small town but now it is a metropolis! Way too much traffic!!!
