Hi Vatche, Thanks as usual for making an easy to understand tutorial, I just acquired a second hand BCF2000, and I am going to use it with Studio One 3 through my Scarlett 18i20, so I hope it goes as easily asyou made it look. I am also very much enjoying your studio build (I just watched your latest Part 12).Cheers from the still cold and snowy Ontario Canada.
Thanks! That is so helpful, and saved me lot of troubles. Just really be sure to have all the firmware and drivers installed. the bhui mode wasn't first available at my old firmware! And also the same settings work fine in Davinci Resolve 16 for Fairlight! bhui and select Input and Output as bcf2000 port1.
Hi, In Cubase 11 it is possible to use fader to automate other parameters apart of Volume? I tried with a Behringer x-touch one but it doesn't work. Thanks.
Mine doesn't go into edit mode it just stays in BHUI, anyone have any ideas ? I still got it into U-3 by starting up in b-control or Logic mode and have it working with Cakewalk but still not Cubase, which i'm trying to make the switch to. Cubase no longer has the same device menus but now has the Studio Setup menus.
hello, I have BCR2000 and cubase 10.5 but I am not being able to do the Bhui setup. Should I do anything else before the 5 button pressing and turning it on ? thanks and sorry for bothering
Thanks for the Video. I'm considering to get a unit but have a doubt, maybe you can help me with that: Does the controller recognize mixing configurations that you set up in the mixing console inside Cubase? Say if you make certain tracks invisible in one configuration, will the controller also ignore these tracks? Thanks for your answer.
As I no longer own this unit, I can't confirm, but I'm sure like with any Control Surface unit, if a channel is hidden on the screen, it's also not on the Fader. What's on the screen is what the Fader controls. I hope someone here can confirm it for you.
@@RecordingStudio9 Thanks for the answer. Unfortunately not all midi controllers seem to work that way, especially when it comes to the "mixing configurations" in Cubase. Maybe someone else will be able to help me or I'll take a chance and keep you or anybody else who might be interested in it posted.
you can get a maudio project mix it will do more than the bcf and you can control your vst's on it in cubase 10 i have both the maudio also has a midi mode and thats not even needed to control vsts think addictive drums you have every parameters mapped with pages you scroll tru and control on the console i have the bcr2000 it's usless with cuebase but the novation nocturn is great ...... get a novation nocturn there really cheap and there amazing with cubase it will control all your channels and vsts runs on xp right up to windows 10.. everything is automapped so never even think about programming vsts it is all just twisting knobs and having fun,,,,and you can record the automation in cubase...unlike reaper

Unfortunately any sidechain plugin like waves bumper or so works just if your DAW has a sidechain option, I use elements aswell and untill I'll be on it before I purchase a pro version, I'll stick on automating the volumes of what I wanna sidechain, this way I'll not charge the transient informations aswell, a bit more long boring process but it does the trick to me at least :D
perfectly explained, it also worked for me as new cubase 12 pro user. Thanks!!!!
wow ur tutorial is 1000x time better than the officicial one! save me the trouble of rtfm thks
Many thanks for this tutorial. This saved me a lot of time! best wishes J
Glad I could help out

Thanks for watching. The same procedure can apply to Studio One. Just add as a Mackie HUI Controller in external devices menu.
Great stuff, thank you :)
Very helpfull! Thanks!

How should we set it up to do the expressions on MIDI instruments?
Really AWSOME!!! Where are the expression controls for automation (like vibrato, etc)?
I want to start trying orchestral.

Turns out i wasn't holding the button down for long enough, doh !

Also will this work to control V. instruments instead of the cubase mixer? Thanksvery very much
@@modiolo , did you figure this out? I'm on 10.5 and just ordered one BCF today.
@@HudTronn did any of you solved the problem? I have cubase 12 and my BCF2000 is detected on the Midi Ports, but is not reacting to anything...

nice,,,,, to the point,,,,very helpful
Thanks.
Will this work for Cubase 10.5 as well?
I'm pretty sure it will, but since I no longer own a BCF2000, I can't 100% test it with my Cubase 10.5.
yes, work great ! on win10 Cubase 10.5 pro.

hey can you do a tutorial how to sidechain in cubase elements.. i have cubase elements 9..
As per Cubase Elements 9 documentation, side-chain for compression is not available for Elements versions.
ok.. i want to sidechain my sends fx .. can the" waves pumper" be used ?

Hi. how to use more than 8 tracks plz?
Option to switch batch 8 tracks at a time, dependent on the DAW in use.
how do I hook it up in 2023?
TouchDAW cost less then $10, and I use it.
You still need to own or purchase a tablet to use the app. Still touch screen based and not a tactile feel. But yes, it is an alternative.
Awesome
