That 20 year battery figure asssumes a linear degradation over 20 years. All testing to date shows that not to be true, and that the bulk of the degradation appears over the first couple of years and then significantly levels out.

These customers should be serviced first as they believe in the product and not just a number in the profit number scheme
What you are saying is true. But to some degree it is people willing to pay the extra $20K that is helping to make the CT a success/profitable for Tesla. Until it reaches some run rate each truck is costing Tesla money. The $20K is easing the ramp to positive profits. The $20K is not entirely money in Tesla's pocket. They are now offering $2,500 as a shop credit and money to install the V2G etc.

The model y is awesome but lacks range. Sears are too small and need to be ventilated. For these reasons II will wait for the Juniper. My range on my model Y P is 239 miles at 90%. That’s assuming I drive to 0 miles. Tesla recommends charging to 80% which is not enough to daily drive for me. 239 miles is actually closer to 180-200 miles when driving on highway at traffic speeds 75-80 mph. For me it is not enough range. I need a minimum actual range 300 miles at recommended daily charge.
You’re getting more miles than I did, 170 on the freeway @75 mph, 100% to single digits. I 100% agree, not enough miles for me either since you are supposed to drive 80% to 20%, which is 100 miles for me.
The Restomod R17 - yes, decent EVs seem to be more modular than ICE cars, a variety of true body kits, variety of interiors with various physical screens but standard software (but with a skin) should mean these types of vehicles should be commercially viable. Just think - two or three 'special editions' with genuinely unique styling should drum up a lot of interest from people wanting that style with practicality. And if Renault keep the weight below 2 tons even with 'just' 270 hp it should be fun.
Ryan, my math says that 1.8% annual degradation leaves you with 69.5% capacity after 20 years. Remember this is not a linear effect but an exponential decay.
@@paulogden7417 except that battery degradation doesn’t work that way. The majority of degradation is in the first 5 years. Unless you are torturing your car by supercharging every time you charge your car.
Actually no, it is not linear nor is it exponential. The majority of degradation occurs in the first 100,000 miles, then it levels off to a very smooth, very slow and stable degradation.
Battery degradation is not a function of miles , battery life is specified by the manufacturer as the number of charge cycles so I’m not sure what a 1.8% degradation vs miles means exactly. Can we find the numbers somewhere?

Let's start by clarifying that you're only referring to the United States. This doesn't include countries like Canada, where this offer is only available on the Model Y
I don't really see the CT doing top of the line on the safety end due to the really small crush zones and hard exterior which ironically means that more shock and force will be transferred to the passengers in a crash, maybe the airbag systems can make up for that but those features that make it "tough" will also create their own issues inside the cabin along with no washer fluid or wiper for the rear camera creating poor rear visibility in rain/mud/snow conditions when there are situations where you may depend on it.

I just rented a Model Y in Germany, and I was thankful that it had stalks. With all the roundabouts there it would be completely impractical to have steering wheel buttons with a regular steering. It may work with the variable ratio steer by wire, but with a regular mechanical steering it’s a no-no for many buyers there. I spoke with an owner of a Model X Plaid who said this is the one thing he believes he will never get used to.
Kia and Hyundai are a joke... I can't believe people pay as much as they do for them. They're probably OK as leases though, to be fair. Get rid of them before then inevitably have mechanical issues.

This is something i really don't see happening unless you live in an area where the conditions are optimal for EV batteries. At 20 years old, no one will want to buy it given the risk.

Are the $7500 rebates apply to leasing Teslas? Or just finance and cash ?
All options so lease, cash, or financing. I believe lease bypasses the requirements/restrictions of the $7500 tax rebate rules so you automatically get it. However with Tesla, you can't buy the car after your your lease ends.
That 20 year battery figure asssumes a linear degradation over 20 years. All testing to date shows that not to be true, and that the bulk of the degradation appears over the first couple of years and then significantly levels out.
I’m a *huge* NIO fan! I’m counting down the days until they hit the U.S. market. I need a car that’s fast, efficient, and keeps me moving-I don’t have time to be stuck charging forever like with Tesla! NIO’s about to change the game!
Good luck. Troll
Just as an FYI; Tesla have offered 0% APR here in the UK for the last month or so. This was with the caveat of taking delivery before Sept 30th.
Though it’s fine that Tesla is selling CTs in other countries, it seems like they are just finding customers willing to pay 100k, leaving those even willing to shell out 80 k with reservations for years out in the cold. These customers should be serviced first as they believe in the product and not just a number in the profit number scheme
Blame it on the present culture whereby willingness to pay more for exclusivity, even for a short time, has become prevalent.
Mercedes never rushes to get a cheap version out for lower income folks…
@@FrunkensteinVonZipperneck mercedes also doesn’t have people reserve it at a promised price point and then increase that price on everyone
I preordered 3 x cybertrucks. 2x Dual motor at $50k and 1. X trimotor at $79. I preordered because of the value not the looks. I decided to buy a Chevy HD2500 Diesel for $77 k. I love Tesla but these prices are not even reasonable. I would reconsider a dual motor under $70 k before tax credit.
If you're reminded of a Lexus with the rear light bar you need to check out more Chinese EVs. They almost all have that.
You can buy or lease a Model Y with a 0.00% APR in Sweden if you pick it up before October 1st.
There's currently a stop sale on the ID4 do to issues with the doors
The model y is still over $750 month for 60 months with no money at all down. That is w zero options. Wait for the juniper.. Currently a ripoff w the refresh coming.. The current model will crash 30% when the juniper drops
With inflation considered it’s $30,000 for a Model Y. They currently have the $35,000 vehicles that were promised in 2018. On top of that, those are the long range models!
@@CWK09 you're joking right.. Read the real math on the website not estimated gas savings bs.. That is the exact payment calculated w no money lnto the deal.. My god a sucker is born every second
@@streamingdemon2522 did I mention the payment? Did I say I had gas savings included? It’s $37,490 after tax credit comes off. A brand new prius cost $39,500 in my area. The payment is irrelevant when that’s the payment everywhere, not to mention gas savings. I pay $8 a month for fuel when I was paying $270 a month for gas. That $750 payment would be the equivalent of a $488 payment to me. I literally started off by saying “with inflation considered” referring to their 2018 goal for the model 3.
Why isn't anyone talking about the lost potential for revenues that can be captured from states that are currently prohibit Tesla's lease or financing option? Is Tesla lobbying State legislature to allow leasing? If not, why?
Waiting ✋️ for New Model Y!!
The Leaf was a great EV. Nissan made the mistake to delay EV midsize SUV and 4 door pickups. The Ariya does not seem to care lease middle age men segment. That’s 85% of EV customers.
That Renault is cool. Very ‘Neue Klasse’
Still working on LFP 4680?
@@wj9494 exactly, this is a meaningless stat. But I suppose it’s been made a stat based on averages.
0% APR in the UK
I picked up my Model Y last week with 0% interest. This might only have been available for Sweden.
If you can't put down any money on a Tesla then you can't afford the vehicle.
I think a lot of people are waiting until these vehicles come with native NACS charging. No one wants to use an adapter.
Can you update us on the latest Rivian news? Love Tesla but Rivian is doing a lot of interesting stuff as an EV automaker too. 🚗😊
I full understand why people don’t want a new model Y right now. We very happy with our 2023 Myp but would not buy one now as we know a refreshed model is coming. This doesn’t happen often and it will be worth the wait if the Model Y will improved as much as the model 3 has been. We will by a refreshed Model Y performance as our second car when it is available. We hope that the performance model will get a little more this time and not remain at the bottom of the Tesla Performance models.
But then again, if a Right Hand Drive CyberTruck comes along or is hinted at… well then…
0% APR available in the UK until the end of September on Model 3 & Y.

Living in California that is no big deal.
Say that living in Utah or Montana or West Virginia, Then you will have something going on.
Driving CT always makes me hungry ❤
My Model S just went dead, Tesla roadside assistance towed it to Service Center, where they pronounced the 400V battery DEAD, needs to be replaced at 30,000 miles. REALLY, REALLY DISAPPOINTED !
Wanna bet?😂

Currently 0 % financial renting in Belgium on model y

Yes no reason not to use a referral link
The current referral discount is $1,000 and is in addition to any other incentives.

Your lease pricing isn’t accurate for the EV6
Love your content
I just rented a Model Y in Germany, and I was thankful that it had stalks. With all the roundabouts there it would be completely impractical to have steering wheel buttons with a regular steering. It may work with the variable ratio steer by wire, but with a regular mechanical steering it’s a no-no for many buyers there. I spoke with an owner of a Model X Plaid who said this is the one thing he believes he will never get used to.

My Cybertruck has been fantastic
I've seen a Cybertruck in Canada. It was parked at CostCo, & the owners had a wrap showing off their local oyster business. Does that mean they brought it up from the States? Or have there been limited Canadian deliveries?

I recently leased a MY and really like the car. I was surprised to find my wife really liking the car. (Guess who drives it the most now.) However, I’m having problems supporting Elon Musk as he goes further to the right, supporting extreme antisemitism, supporting a candidate that disses BEV’s (and supports overturning legitimate elections), building an AI facility that appears to be harmful to the surrounding communities without community input, etc. I’m having a hard time with a possible decision to support this man by buying another Tesla.
