He had mentioned that it felt that it put a label and or timestamp on the sound. He said that there shouldn't be an expiration date on good music, or at least something to that effect. Everyone says that deftones got better as they aged but in my opinion, their first 3 albums were their best. As an avid hip hop fan, I digged their funk/metal sound more than their more emotional phase. Chi was a huge hip hop and funk guy and it really showed in all his riffs.

I discovered the Deftones after I graduated from highschool...which was somehow a perfect coincidence because I've been feeling more lonely since then. I barely get to see some of my good old friends anymore and people I normally saw every day. I drive to college a couple days a week and I feel what the Deftones feel, a sad feeling of isolation but you still gotta move on.

Witnessing "Tempest" live in concert was the greatest moment of my life. Really amazing songs in the top 10, at the beginning and end. "Phantom Bride" is incredible, yasss Jerry Cantrell! I love that they included a nod to "Sextape" and the real inspiration for "Digital Bath"

What an incredible band. Saturday Night Wrist and Self Titled are my two favourite albums of theirs, which happen to be their least mentioned albums in general for some reason.
In my own opinion sextape will always be my number one. Deftones put out music I could listen to on repeat and never get tired of it. Also ‘what happened to you’ deserves such a huge mention.

Everyone says that deftones got better as they aged but in my opinion, their first 3 albums were their best. As an avid hip hop fan, I digged their funk/metal sound more than their more emotional phase. Chi was a huge hip hop and funk guy and it really showed in all his riffs.

I discovered the Deftones after I graduated from highschool...which was somehow a perfect coincidence because I've been feeling more lonely since then. I barely get to see some of my good old friends anymore and people I normally saw every day. I drive to college a couple days a week and I feel what the Deftones feel, a sad feeling of isolation but you still gotta move on.

My favorite Deftones song will always be Digital Bath, hearing this tune in 2000 while being a lost teenager... I can´t describe the feelings and it never gets old, it is still an amazing song with so many layers and an energy that´s unique.

Witnessing "Tempest" live in concert was the greatest moment of my life. Really amazing songs in the top 10, at the beginning and end. "Phantom Bride" is incredible, yasss Jerry Cantrell! I love that they included a nod to "Sextape" and the real inspiration for "Digital Bath"
