Maschine Mikro Repair: USB Port

Today we're cracking open nextdimensional's Maschine Mikro to see if we can't repair the USB port. She reached out to me some time back to see if I could do the repair. After receiving the unit I got started.
This was a relatively easy repair. The main things to watch out for are the hidden screw under the warranty label and remembering to disconnect the ribbon cable before taking out the main pcb. While it was tedious to remove 40(!) screws, I do appreciate that this machine is built like a tank.

what is the wire you're using to unsolder the smaller connections ?

It's called "copper wick" or sometimes "braid." You can get it at electronics shops or online.

When i removed the ribbon cable the plastic housing broke into 3 pieces lol, didnt even apply that much force
