    Dark green leafy vegetables are an excellent source of fiber, folate, and carotenoids. These vegetables also contain vitamins C and K and the minerals iron and calcium. In addition, dark green leafy vegetables act as antioxidants in the body...

    Greens are truly a gift from God...Eat them, they really do have amazing benefits.
    Gen 1:30
    and to everything moving on the earth in which there is life, I have given all green vegetation for food.
    There is a reason why the scriptures specifically mentioned green vegetation. It's what nourishes the flesh and keeps us healthy....Eat to your hearts content and enjoy.

    Did she say at the end add fruits and vegetables in moderation? That's crazy! eat as much as you can. Especially veggies. With the fiber and bulk that make you feel full, it may nudge out unhealthy foods from your diet.

    • @theretrogamer9498
      @theretrogamer9498 10 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Believe it or not you can have too much vegetables you can even have too much water I get that you didn't know that (no offense) if you want more info on it check out asapsciences video

    • @pierrebrseven
      @pierrebrseven 10 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      turtlegaming 75 The evidence is clear and overwhelming. We do not get even close to the amount of vegetable we need. In a society of cancer, diabetes and heart disease the consumption of vegetables particulary geen cruciforous veggies help to prevent these diseases. there is so many sites and studies I could refer you to. Please check out "Choosing Vegetarian: A How-to Guide For Eating Healthier" or "Choosing Vegetarian: A How-to Guide For Eating Healthier" on youtube. One may not choose to be a vegetarian but the evidence for consuming as much vegetable as one can to be benificial is clear and overwhelming. I must say we may not agree but you have class, I wish others conducted themselfs accordingly.

    • @pierrebrseven
      @pierrebrseven 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      turtlegaming 75 More over, numerous studies have been done in societies where cancer, heart disease and diabetes is virtually unknown such as the Hunza and Okanawa. They live long vibrant healthy lives and consume a plant based diet eating 5 times the amount of vegetation as Americans who are plauged with these diseases. In light of this are we prepared to tell them they are eating too many vegetables? Cut back and be fat and sick like us Americans? Again I reply with all due respect.

    • @theretrogamer9498
      @theretrogamer9498 10 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      I don't think you see what I mean what she means about moderation is like all foods don't eat large amounts in one sitting

    Pleas, always first wash off all of your fruits & vegetables before you eat them. People handle foods plus wash of any pesticides. And finally, try to eat raw. Heat / cooking kills some of the nutrients.

      in many cases cooking vegetables (usually steamed/boiled) increased the bioavailablity of the vegetable and proves to be more nutritious. and in some cases eating raw can lead to some issues.

    • @SsesssGamB
      @SsesssGamB 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      perhaps carotenoids (provitamine of vitamine A - Retinol) when we steam or boiled we increase the bioavalibility , which is good cause we absorve more of the caretonoids. Cause we have to know that we don't absorve everything we eat from nutrients and vitamins but we absorve a rate of it.

    Beets make a very pretty paint. If you boil it down to a concentrate then cut an eggplant and dip the eggplant or paint the eggplant with the beet juice. stencil it on a canvas. Use various vegetables to paint and do your artwork. sliced Peppers make the most beautiful stencil in Prince. Hang in the kitchen to make kitchen art.

      sure, it has a lot of vitamins and minerals, but so does liver. You're not gonna sit here and eat large portions of liver every day just because of that. Your body is complex and requires nutrients in a specific balance. Just because there is more of something it doesn't mean it is better.

      Fruits in moderation, yes. Veggies, no! A diet consisting of 90% veggies & 10% fruits is the healthiest. Believe or not, fruits are the junk food of nature.

    Why eat healthy fruits and vegetables in moderation? Strange last bit of advice.

    • @jamesmcfartnuggets6959
      @jamesmcfartnuggets6959 10 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      Because it's true. For example onions in excess are bad for the heart. Actually anything is bad in excess, even water - if you drink way too much water it's bad for the blood and ultimately for the brain.
      The question is - how much of each given thing is too much? For example 2 big onions a day is probably too much, but 2 apples are not.
