Fantastic find! Thank You! Great performance of Danny Joe brown and the band at their peak and suprisingly good sound quality...I think I saw this as a teenager...Chorus was a great tv show as well as the German tv Rockpalast shows. French tv introduced me to this Southern Rock sound with a special program that featured recorded performances by the Allman bros, Blackfoot and Skynyrd. I wish someone would post this program, especially since the Skynyrd footage figured the original line up with Ed King and Bob Burns...It's possible they used the German Rockpalast 74 footage, but I clearly remember the program stated it was recorded in the Olympia in Paris which they played on their1974 tour. R.I.P. Steve Holland and all the rest of the band and all of the original southern rockers that have left us....this music is timeless and will live on long after the last of them is gone...
I saw them open for Bob Seger in late 1978 and became a fan then. I saw them at a lot of events like rib cook offs where they deserved much better. Of we’ll the lineup changed many times Ofer the years and Danny Joe Browne sadly passed away several years ago.

I saw Molly the first time with UFO, 1979. Chicago Amphitheatre. I heard their first hit on the radio but damn they were smoking hot live! They have 3 lead guitar players, super long hair, they were really good and I was a fan after that.
I was amazed at the audio engineering of the first album, the instruments came through loud and clear. Seen them in concert with the original line up, loudest band I ever seen.
I saw them live in Chicago, back in 1979. Molly Hatchet/UFO. Damn that was a hot show, I remember the Molly Hatchet guitar players tossing their guitars way up in the air, over and over, after every song. That was awesome. Danny Joe Brown was in his prime!

@@goodguy4342 Your welcome. There's more but to much to put on here lol. Keep listening to them even now. Oh , never give Bobby any credit. He's not what he comes off as . And if not for Dave he wouldn't be where he is. He hurt the band more then helped it. That's a
fact but can't go into it here. Much respect.
@@71rcode72 Happy you got to meet them. They were pretty special guys , all of them. Keep the album , it's now special at least as I'm concerned and keep enjoying it. Oh here's something for you. I was there when they wrote most of the songs. That was something to see them write them . They worked well together. The band isn't the same without them nor nearly as good. I'm sure you can tell the difference same as I do. There will never be another like them. Much respect.
Good stuff, very enjoyable.
This clip catches the band as I remember them. On fire. Wish it was longer. Wish there was more evidence of what a great live band they were.
Saw them on this tour in a small sport facility in Charlottesville VA ... they were a great RnR band and loud ...
Still ,"Flirtin' with Disaster ", Molly Hatchet style thanks boys no more lonesome roads!!!!
Great solid second album after busting out from nowhere on the first one. These boys delivered 5 alltime classic hits from where I was standing.a top notch guitar band for their time(no one had a clue what EVH was doing). And that voice...many records were worn out on the radio waves I can tell you...Great band from Jacksonville FLA!!! Thx for the good time
Sit back and enjoy it.
I seen the original lineup in early 1990 at The Chance in Poughkeepsie NY with my wife and my cousin who passed away 2 1/2 years ago. After the show,we hung out with them at the bar for a few hours and drank everything from beer to champagne and Jack Daniels. What a great bunch of guys and talented musicians, all in Heaven with my cousin Augie rockin and a rollin RIP GENTS!!
In Early 1990, Huh?? If You Saw The Band with Bobby Ingram (Guitar) & John Galvin (Keyboards) Both Guys Have Never Have Been Original and Never Will Be Original Band Members No Matter what they Try To Claim Now. "Original" Bass Guitarist, Banner Thomas Left in 1982 Replaced By Riff West, "Original" band Co-Founder & Lead Guitarist, Steve Holland Left in 1984 Replaced By Keyboardist, John Galvin & "Original" Band Co-Founder & Lead Guitarist, Dave Hlubek Left in 1987, Replaced By Bobby Ingram.
Lovely live clip. Fantastic band
I will always remember the Frazeta art work they used for their album covers. Awesome band we need more great country rock in music.
One of the greatest bands of all time in my book
I saw them open for Bob Seger in late 1978 and became a fan then. I saw them at a lot of events like rib cook offs where they deserved much better. Of we’ll the lineup changed many times Ofer the years and Danny Joe Browne sadly passed away several years ago.
Great band !
When the first album came out, I was 12 years old, played sick for 3 days to stay out of school so I could play the record non stop full blast. Got to see them not long after, and that was it for me!!!
Thank you for this video! One of the best bands ever!
That’s how it’s done live! RIP fellas.
I saw Molly the first time with UFO, 1979. Chicago Amphitheatre. I heard their first hit on the radio but damn they were smoking hot live! They have 3 lead guitar players, super long hair, they were really good and I was a fan after that.
Seen the original line up (as presented here) many moons ago...my ears rang for days.
I was amazed at the audio engineering of the first album, the instruments came through loud and clear. Seen them in concert with the original line up, loudest band I ever seen.
Saw them during this time period. Still one of the best shows I've ever seen. Hlubek threw his guitar about 20 feet in the air.
HELL YEAH! RIP Brothers! Thanks for sharing Tom!
I also had the pleasure of watching these guys preform back in Sept. of 79
in Orlando opening up for Joe Cocker:}
Great to see live footage of these guys when they were in their prime. Thanks for posting.
I've been waiting for years for footage like this! Thank you so much for posting, Hatchet was a big part of my life and I miss them a lot.
Absolutely!!😁😁
I saw them live in Chicago, back in 1979. Molly Hatchet/UFO. Damn that was a hot show, I remember the Molly Hatchet guitar players tossing their guitars way up in the air, over and over, after every song. That was awesome. Danny Joe Brown was in his prime!
Saw these guys in a high school gymnasium in the mountains of Kentucky, Blackfoot opened.
Big part of my life too. DJB was the best.
Guitarmike., Truth and Ditto. ✌️🤜💥🤛
One of the best!!!
saw these guys at Trask Coliseum in Wilmington on the first tour.Hlubek handed me a pick during Bounty Hunter...still have it.
Southern Rock unseen to me treasures your posting... Thank you Tom and keep em coming!!👍
Crossroads finally woke them up :) This is how it's done ladies and gentlemen.
Saw them with Blackfoot 82ish in greenwood South Carolina great concert I remember it was really loud probably one reason I don’t hear so well lol Hatchet and skynyrd were the best ever
R.I.P. GUYS! I loved your music and all your Gibsons you played too!😊
excellent video of a perfect wave they had... cannot be denied their place in the charts or our memories...
Tom, this is terrific. Thank you for posting this. saw em many times in the 80's. the comments and memories from the commentors on the thread are GREAT.
I saw them so many times in the late 70s, thanks for posting this vid!
Thx so much for posting this...Molly Hatchet...rocked..rocks!
Great band and a great time in my life . God bless them all .
Joy and sadness. Like Allen Watts said, dance while the music’s playing.
Just brilliant 🎸🎸🎸
Saw em in Memphis at a small club a couple of times with Danny Joe. Best rock shows Ive ever seen.
Damn I miss this period. Talented, self destructive people. I can relate.
Let's see Clapton out do this Crossroads, fat chance. Epic!!!!
Best era that I've ever lived about GREAT MUSIC and MUSICIANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I saw them for the first time in New Years Day 1979 in Rupp Arena in Lexington,Ky. They were the opening act and just blew the crowd away after their first song everyone in the Arena were on their feet
Saw them in Hawaii back in 81 I think, with Shakin Street, Blue Oyster Cult & Black Sabbath, best concert in my life time ! 🤙
These boys sure had they're day
Wish I would've seen them live.
Hard to believe that they are all gone ! RIP
