  • Join in with the Restored crew as they attempt to bring some life back into this forgotten 1959 BMW Isetta. After escaping its final resting place, this ol' girl seeks a second chance to be restored to its former glory. Follow along as the guys dig in and diagnose the problems that have arose after sitting up for over 40 years. Will the team be able to get this circus-looking micro car back on its feet again, or are they just clowning around?

That's confusing. Why both channels?! It's possible to change the name of a TH-cam channel. Maybe change the name of this one to 'Turnin' Rust Restored'? Ought to be a way to move all the videos from one channel to the other.

This story sure brought back memories, about 60 years ago, my buddy's father brought one home, a little better condition, looked new compared to yours. His father always tinkered with "odd" cars. It brought back memories of some very happy days. Love the channel.

I have said it before and I’ll say it again. The two reasons that I enjoy your channel is because of the content you all produce. The other is the amount of love and respect you all have for each other.
That alone makes your Dad one of the richest men on the planet. For a son and daughter to have the level of love and respect is every dads dream.
I’m not a deeply religious person but I am very spiritual. I do believe God put you all on this earth to show the rest of the world what it means to be a family. Thank you all for another great video. Bless You All ❤️🙏

It was pretty cool seeing the isetta rescued. Be careful running an unserviced motor. They don't have an oil filter. There is a slinger on the end of the crankshaft. If it fills up with crud it will just overflow crud. A lot of them grenade after about 12,000 miles because nobody ever cleans the slinger. Also, be careful driving with the old rubber donuts on the shaft between the chaincase and the transmission. If that old rubber fails at 45mph it will wreck the transmission cover (very expensive part now days compared to replacing the rubber donuts). I have 5 complete cars plus a couple of spare bodies and enough spare parts to build another car out in my barn. My car I drove most of the time would get to 55mph.

It's not commonly known, but jumper cables are closely related to the phylum family of creatures, being worms and snakes.
Hence our constant fight with them coiling up and in and through themselves. It's a lot easier to just hang them straight.

I was born in 1947. In Belgium. I was 18 in 1965. At 60 Km/h a BRAND NEW BMW Isetta scared the bejeezis out of me in the pourng rain on cobblestones with tramway rails in short curves ... They did last forever, though.
