PS5 can run this game at 120hz with VRR and unlocked fps, i even get like stable 100fps at times at 4k and the settings i was using were pretty much the same as quality mode

Because what a recent Freesync/G-Sync (compatible) monitor with IPS panel can do for your gameplay experiance is, it will just double the fps and wont display any tearing, which results in perfectly smooth gameplay experiance.

I've got a 3060 laptop with 6gb vram and as an older person that was used to horrible framerates since the days of trying to run Doom on a 286, I'm fine with 30fps and better graphics and I stupidly always try running ray tracing which the card can handle but the vram can't so it's always low/med textures and the same with shadows with a hefty dollop of dlss but it can work lol. I can live with the compromise annoying that it is...not in this game though, don't play this, just commenting on the vram side of things.
If only instead of rt cores taking space on die it had more regular raster cores. What's the use of rt when it can't hold on its own. Kind of similar with tensor cores. At 1080p it may be better of with more pure performance rather that wasting space on upscale It may be better early on, but the longer it is, the less impact other factors seems to have. At least for now, but in 5-10 years time it may change

And I have 2060S and am playing HL at 1080p Ultra DLSSQ RT High and on stock DLSS from HL I had small issue with textures loading especially by doors to another area but with DLSS 3.6 no more issue even with hair 😏 And pleas test latest DLSS 3.7 in 2077 because Nvidia claims it improved RT Ray Reconstruction and general performance! Thx mate!!

6GB dont cut it for 1080p. At 2:20 gpu power is 125w, but right after it maintains 150. Clearly the lack of vram is starving the core.

always set transluceny and shadows to high, it looks wayy better with some nice character lighting on aloy, should be worth it if the fps is above 40
If you set translucency quality to 'high res' it fixes the pixelated parachute
