running on 2021 Asus Zephyrus G15 rtx3070 w/ Ryzen 9 5800HS - this guide was insanely helpful after attempting on my own to find what settings are the most impactful and just constantly obsessively tweaking cuz i'm admittedly a noob. I'd much rather play at 1440p with medium textures and these optimized settings (55-65fps capped) versus high or ultra on a 1080p and less clear image (yes, i play with my face a few feet from the screen and the resolution difference is horribly noticeable haha)

Another great video my man! But this game have the same problem like all Nixxes port, VRAM! The games run very well, but only if you have memory above 8GB. Horizon, Spider, Ratchet, all of these games have FPS drops after a while of gameplay (the famous memory leak). I would really like them to find a way to improve this on an 8GB GPU, like Iron Galaxy did in TLOU (I know it's not fair to compare hahaha). Horizon starts off very well, but after a while of playing the FPS drops absurdly, especially during cutscenes, or doing fast travel. Restarting the game fix the problem, but a have to do that everytime. Playing on a 3060 Ti ,1440p High settings with DLSS/DRS. It happens even in 1080 high, DLSS quality. =(
I instantly tested max settings with 4k DLSS quality with FG… Oh, stable 120 fps. Let's try same settings, but 4k DLAA. Still stable 120 fps. Freaking smooth experience with reflex on. In some areas' fps drops to about 100, but it's so smooth experience that no need for any extra tuning. I was expecting good performance, but not this good with 4080 Super. I'm just hoping that they would add RT support to get even better visuals. When a game is this well optimized for raster, it would be so much easier to run all the other visual extras, even path tracing. I would love to test PT on 4k DLSS 1080p.
Native FG works very well here, but FG mods unfortunately do not. Is it good optimization? I doubt it. In 4K without any aids you will get about 60-70fps. And we're talking about a console port with only slightly improved graphics
@@sawomirbartosiak2487 We're most definitely not talking about even close to console port. I was talking native 4k with DLAA (antialiasing) with everything maxed out. Consoles use Dynamic resolution, TAA, and lower graphics on performance mode (also lower graphical settings even on 30 fps mode). You can get pretty much console performance and experience with 2070 Super, but it's on a different level with the PC version. I'm personally using ReSade with enhanced lighting/shadows and other visuals. Native game looks good, but this goes way beyond that.

Thanks. It could be nice to mention DLSS image quality and performance gains next time.
Keep screen space shadows on alot of stuff looks flat without it
Settings work great. From 40-45fps, I now get constant 60.
Amazing, as always! Thank you.
you made my day a lot better
Excellent video as always!
I love your videos, I always use them for my settings
Thanks as always.
One thing i found surprising was how much better TAA is than SMAA.
Thank you so much. I went from 90fps to 130-140 😍
You are my hero......Great job....Thank you!
Clear concise explanations, thanks
The Best channel!! 10/10

This was cool, ngl.
Well explained. Thanks! Appreciated.
i ws waiting for you my friend ahhhhhhh thnx
Again top optimization guide.. thanks!
bro u are a lifesaver, thank u.
