thank you for just using the x100vi for the entirety of this video. It drives me nuts when these other reviewers mix their other cameras with the camera theyre actually reviewing!
Thanks for the feedback! Glad you appreciate that challenge haha
Those COLORS, that FEEL, WOW!
Ah thank you! Really kind 🫶
Your video examples with the X100VI are the best I've seen yet. Still figuring out my video workflow and settings with mine. Great review!
Means a lot to hear that! Thanks so much. Super underrated in the pocket video cam department haha
I don’t think I’ll ever buy a X100VI, In honesty im only watching this video because its more content from Mr spitz 🔥
Ayyyy haha nothing wrong with that, thanks for watching!
same here. Simply excited about the new content!

Compositions & colors are all 👌. Thanks for your support. Also loving the effort that has gone into making this video, including your music selection.
Appreciate you swinging through!
As always, incredible work! Your photo and video content is consistently some of my favorite stuff out there - super refined and tasteful. Thank you for taking the time to put this together for our collective enjoyment 🙏🏻
Wow dude, thank you so much! Such a high compliment to receive. Means the world 🫶🫶🫶
Such good pictures and moving frames Dylan. Always in awe with your work
very kind, thank you so much!
Been waiting for you to post again! Inspiring stuff as always, whenever I think of someone having an eye for art and photography, it's you! Great as always dude!
Wow, not sure what more I could ask for in a compliment. Truly kind of you and very encouraging! 🫶
Always nice to see you post. Great work as usual Dylan!
Really means a lot, thank you Jameel!
Glad to see you’re back :-) Keep the vids coming, they’re very much appreciated!
Really thankful for your support and encouragement! 🫶
As usual, stunning work. It really inspires me to pick up the camera and get back out taking photos. Thanks for sharing your gift with the world.
That is what it’s all about 🫶. Thanks so much for the kind words, means a ton!
I have not watched a single other review of this camera… but I think yours is by far the best. I always love seeing cameras in action and being shown what they’re capable in different use cases as opposed to just hearing a list of the specs. Thanks for a great video! The photos & video clips both looked stunning!
Really thankful for your kind words and encouragement! Glad you enjoyed the video 🫶
Been waiting for this video for some time now. Damn, it was worth the wait! That intro definitely gave me the chills. Really nice shots man, at this point it doesn't even matter what you shoot with really, because your shots are always so, so good. Keep it up!! 👏🏻
I almost canceled my pre-order last week > watched your video > happy I didn't, hahah.
I know, it took me a while to have enough experience and time with the camera to put something together worth everyone's time! Hahaha I am so happy the intro hit you that way, I really was having fun there (even got the wife to help me haze the room for those sillouhette shots 😂). Anywho, thanks so much for the support and coming to watch so quickly - means a lot! Hopefully you'll get your camera soon.
amazing video Dylan! love the feel of these shots. been loving the presets so much!
Thank you, Rick! Soooo happy that you're enjoying the presets! Love to hear it 🥳
Great stuff. Always inspired after watching your videos. The colours! This camera is a great little package especially, as you’ve proven here, in the right hands.
Thanks a ton! Fun little camera for sure. Appreciate the kind words.
Can I just say your videos are amazing and so inspiring. Your eye, the way you view things, the colors, it’s beautiful. I am going to get my first Fujifilm soon and your videos just make me even more excited! :)
Thank you so much for the kind words! Really happy you find value in the channel 🙏
dude there are a bunch of banger photos in your video. incredible colours!
Really appreciate the love! 🤘
Man what a beautiful video! You've single-handedly got me looking into getting this camera. The point about it being discrete in public really resonated with me.
Also I've seen a few others bring it up but wanted to say it as well, a video on your grading would be awesome, looking forward to it! Thanks!
Thanks! Fun little camera - definitely nice when you don't like drawing attention to yourself out there. Appreciate you watching!
Excited to watch this on my lunch break! Your work is inspiring 🙏🏾 thank you for posting
Thank YOU for the support. Really hope you enjoy it!
Same here! 🍱 🍲
@@DylanSpitz I adored it! such a creative eye. thank you for sharing ✨
@@serjanmidili1176 It's funny how I paid more attention to the video than to the food I was eating. Lol. I hope the video and your lunch were enjoyable!
Been waiting for mine from BH since a launch day preorder was placed, this is one of the loveliest videos I’ve seen on it 👏🔥
Thanks so much! Hopefully yours gets there soon 🤘
Such a joy watching your work! Very inspiring as well! Cheers from the Netherlands 🙌🏻
Thank you my friend!
Beautiful stuff as always Dylan! I'm living vicariously through you until my camera eventually ships. I plan on using it exactly as you are so this review was absolutely perfect for me. Thank you 😆
Really appreciate the kind words Jason! I guess I got pretty lucky getting mine so fast, as most others seem to be waiting. Glad you enjoyed the video, cheers!
Came across this channel! Very well done. Congrats on creating your presets looks great.
Beautiful work, Dylan! I’ve been exploring new compact cameras/reviews for the first time in years, and this is the only video where the reviewer is both a talented photographer and DP. You really have a good eye and solid post skills, my dude. Some epic shots in there! Fuji better reach out to you.
Most cinematic review ever!!!
Ah wow, thank you so much for that! Really appreciate the compliment.
Hahaha, never know what the future holds I guess. I’d love to try that GFX 100 S II out… Cheers, man!
My two month review:
Thank you Fujifilm. Literally, the best camera only found on the internet.
😂🤘
Man, I just love your videos! Great job! 📸
Glad you like them! Thanks so much 🫶
I own one, and I was eager to hear what you had to say about it. Much appreciate the video, which is (just like the rest of your volume of work) a pleasure to watch.
Really happy you enjoyed it, thanks for continuing to support the channel! I appreciate it. 🙏
blown away by the video exmaples...so beautiful!
Thank you so much!
Loved this. Thanks for the info/sharing the experience.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you 🙏
Don’t know why it took me so long to come across this. So good to see another upload from you.
Ahh thank you! Feels good to be back 🫶
Incredibly pleasant video, the music, color grading and examples are 👌🏻✨
Thank you so much!
Your review is the best❤ Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for investing your free time to provide us with a very educational review. xo
Really appreciate that, happy to hear you enjoyed it.
Very few content creators that actually nail a proper review on this camera, with that said I’m impressed how far you’ve gone to explain intended use for the presets.
I will be buying soon
Appreciate the support!
such a great video dude! still waiting on my preorder lol. The video examples are top notch and some of the best I've seen from the countless reviews I've watched already. Would love to see a video about your color grading as well if you have the time.
Much appreciated! Really glad you enjoyed it - I have some things in the works regarding grading, just trying to carve out the time. Thanks for the kind words, hope you get your camera soon!
The colors are amazing on both photo and video. Great work!
Thanks so much!
absolutely beautiful video man! i just discovered your channel as i eagerly wait for my x100vi to arrive 🥲 looking forward to seeing more of your content 😁
Welcome aboard! Thanks for that. Hope your camera arrives soon 🤞
Such a good video, Dylan! Can't believe I just discovered your channel
Ah thank you so much! Welcome, haha.
Had to give this another watch. Great stuff Dylan.
Really appreciate you!
Beautiful work. Great video!
Thank you! Cheers!
It’s rare to be so inspired by a gear review! Nicely done! FLOG2 luts would be great in the shop, the color grade is 10/10
Ahhh thank you so much for that! I hear you loud and clear 🫶🫡
Thank you for sharing. The content in this video shows exactly what this camera is made for. If I didn't own this camera yet, I would have made my purchase decision after watching this video! Great pictures, aesthetic video footage, very talented. Keep it up!
Really glad you think so! Thanks for the feedback and kind words, very encouraging to hear that. More on the way 👍
Loved the look of your colours in the photo and video, subscribed for life and thanks for the presets!
I will start doing videos also from my XT4.
Thank you so much for the support! 🫶
great video awesome locations can't wait for mine to finally arrive
Thank you! Ahhh yes, I hope it arrives soon for ya 🤘
Awesome as always, all really incredible shots and video here. I had the x100T a few years back and I do miss it especially the portability.. Just went from XT2 to using the XH2 right now and even that is quite a jump in size.
Thanks a lot!
Ordered one 2/28/24 and I am still waiting for it. I’m glad you were able to get yours.
I know a lot of people are in your boat, seems I was pretty fortunate with my ship date. Fingers crossed yours gets there soon!
Nice video you did! Dylan keep up the good works!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.
Incredible video, well done, sir! It makes me want to buy this camera, but I also have to realize that my photos and videos won't be this good because it's not all about the gear...it's about your skill in editing and putting it all together so beautifully.
Thank you so much for the compliment, super kind of you! At the end of the day, yeah, you're correct. The camera is just a tool and we should use different ones for different situations as we see fit. Or just use what you enjoy. Cheers, Jeff.
A really lovely set of film clips and shots. I agree with you on the camera’s potential - in the right hands…
So many good cameras out there - just comes down to what you enjoy using, really!
your work is just next level 🔥🔥
Appreciate that!
Where can I download full resolution wallpapers of your photos@@DylanSpitz
thanks for sharing, stunning images and videos!
Thanks for watching! Appreciate the kind words 🙏
Welcome back!
thank ya!
Love the whole video, the intro .. video shots and photos as well. Someday, Would love to see a video on your editing workflow, how you do color grading etc. Thanks!
Thank you! I really appreciate that 😊. The video walkthrough included with my preset system on my website is probably the closest I'll ever get to an editing video for now. Just not something that I want to spend my small amount of spare time doing if I'm being honest. I do appreciate your interest, though! Means a lot. 🫶
Always love watching your vids!
So thankful that you watch them!
As someone who shoots point and shoot film camera, the hobby is getting more and more expensive that sometimes i cant justify the developing prices anymore especially where i live. Lately I've been craving my hobby again and was looking for a camera that gives the same vibe as my film camera and you just gave me the perfect camera. It's not cheap but in the long run this will be an investment for me. Thank you so much for showing pictures and video and using solely the X100VI. The production quality is great which made me instantly subscribe. Thank you again Mr. Spitz.
Hey there 👋, thank you so much for the kind words and for subscribing to the channel! Very glad you enjoyed the production. Have fun out there! 🫶
The intro feels like a GXAce homage. Great review, thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Beautiful photos and video here - your processing is super pleasing for my eyes. Great job here. PS. I watched the video on my 85 inch 4k tv
haha nice! Glad I'm not the only one who watches TH-cam (exclusively) in the living room/theater setup. Appreciate the kind words, thanks for taking the time 🙌
Definitely worth the wait!! Of all the X100VI vids, this one does the camera justice. IBIS seems like more of a game changer than people let on.
Wow, thank you so much for that! Yessss, IBIS really made the other features of the camera come alive and form a unique little powerhouse.
@@DylanSpitz had to give this one a second viewing on the big screen… damn son! Such a killer set of photos paired with some dreamy visuals. Oh and the auditory experience is top notch as well. Chefs kiss man!!
@@RolandKaufmann duuuuuuude totally feeling the love! Good day, today. You’re the man 🫡
Love your stuff man, presets are a bit out of my price rage atm but I hope they sell well! Hope you see more stuff from you soon.
Appreciate that! Working on more videos as we speak, more home developing this week 🫠
Great video on the version 6 - refreshing
Appreciate that 🙏
Amazing Review. The best one on the X100VI actually. Love to see more from you mate.
Did you also grade the video footage via Lightroom with your preset?
Ah thank you! Video was graded in resolve 🤘
Great video! Love your vibe)
Too kind! Appreciate that 🫶
Really love the vibe of your videos!
Makes me wanna travel everytime 😅
Hopefully, i‘ll receive my X100VI (ordered on release day) before my next trip in november 😵💫
Hey thanks! Ahhh where you headed? Fingers crossed for ya 🤞
@@DylanSpitz thanks!
We‘ll stay three weeks in Thailand incl. a few days stopover in Kuala Lumpur and Dubai.
Nature around Washington looks amazing, too! Haven‘t been there yet.
Wow, that sounds incredible! Definitely one to look forward to. Cheers 🤘
Amazing work as always Dylan!
Do you seriously get this amazing footage just with the X100VI + Promist filter?
Hey, thank you! 🙏 Haha, yep - although only a few outings had the 1/8 pro mist . Can’t exactly remember which ones tbh. 😂
7:50 - I would hang that image on the wall right now! Rich moody green colors, great pic and it's more amazing that it's from such a small camera's video. So happy it's on order, wish it was in my hands already. Would love to see more content created with the x100vi.
ahhh thanks so much, that means a lot! I'll probably carry it with me often, so I'm sure you'll see more from it in the future when I'm in the mood to shoot digital stuff.
Fujifilm SA in the house. (We're the coolest of all the Fujifilms in any case) 😎
👋
Hey Dylan thx for an awesome review!! Pics + vids are stunning. Curious: were you handheld for all of the video you took? Any accessories you recommend, esp for video / audio?
Appreciate the support! It was all shot handheld, yes. For video I do occasionally like a 1/8 Black Pro Mist filter, which requires the filter thread adapter kit thingy from Fuji. Bonus - it also fully weather seals the camera. Other than that, a rode video micro and a 3.5 to 2.5 jack adapter for better field audio. Hope that helps!
I ordered the X100VI 2 weeks ago because of your X100V review, what a timing with this video! cant wait to get this camera in my hands😍
Ahhh that's awesome! Such a fun camera, will be worth the wait.
Whald would be your daily go-to setup with this camera? 1/4 bpm, 1/8 bpm or even a bpm with a cpl?
@kellair_ if I was shooting mostly video then I’d have a 1/8. If mostly photos then I’d leave it off.
Are you talking about ND here? I thought the cam only had built in 1/4
Black pro mist filter 👍
He's Back! :D
Feels good!
This camera looks like a lot of fun, I’m just disappointed by the lack of supply and the toxic reselling market
🔥🔥 Loved it
Thank you!
You really need fuji to pay you for this fire content! Amazing video bud!
You're the best, dude. Appreciate you!
Bro, amazibg work! Are you using a polarizing filter? How often do you use black mist for photos and videos?
Thanks! No, I don’t use a polarizer. I used the bpm like 50% of the time. Usually during harsh light scenarios.
Beautiful pictures and video's! I bought the X100V last year. It really is the only camera I now bring on holidays (along with de wide angle conversion lens). It gives me such creative joy, not having to think each day i'm going out; is it worth lugging my Sony A7RIII with lenses around. Maybe I'll upgrade in a year or so, but really wondering if it will make a huge difference. The main reasons I'd do it is for the IBIS and the extra resolution.
Hey, thank you! Seems like you're in a similar situation to me. Different tools for different situations and the x100 line is so easy to justify taking with you everywhere. The V is still such a solid camera. If you are strictly using this series for photography it's probably not a necessary upgrade to the VI. The IBIS is handy around blue hour though.
What an intro holy moly
Yessss so glad you liked it haha! Had a lot of fun there.
This is actually the first video I’m watching about this camera haha😂🙏🏼✨
Teo I am HONORED buddy. 😅
Sooo good 😭 Your color grading is always so perfect. Do you have an flog2 conversion LUT?
Thanks so much! I do not....................yet.
@@DylanSpitz ooo exciting 😳
This is hands down the best display of video footage out of the x100vi I have seen on TH-cam yet. You've managed to make it look like a MUCH more expensive, dedicated video camera. Which editing software did you use for this and what advice would you give to someone less experienced about how to achieve this kind of look and colour out of FLOG2 ?
Excellent work. I was in two minds about whetehr or not to place an order for this camera and you've pretty much sold it to me.
Really appreciate the kind words! Glad you enjoyed the video. I use davinci resolve, but I’m just using the grading tools that are available in most any NLE (like primaries, curves, hue vs sat/hue adjustments, etc).
The best advice I can give is to study the films you love (even with scopes and such, but also with your eyes) and discover what makes up the different looks. Take that knowledge that you accumulate over time and apply it to your work. Being adaptable is one of the most important skills a colorist can have IMO. Hope all that helps 🫶
@@DylanSpitz Thanks for the reply. I do observe the visuals of movies I love the look of the most. Do you recommend slightly overcranking the white balance in-camera to get an automatic baked in warmth for a more cinematic colour? Or do you just grade it warm from neutral?
Powerful content 😮
Appreciate you!
amazing colors , love the video color grading, did you use Dehancer ?
Thank you! No, I didn’t. I grade everything in resolve using the built in tools like primaries, curves, etc.
Huge fan, of your channel as I’m a diehard Fuji shooter and patiently waiting for my X100vi from B&H, also I see you have a nice modular setup in the background, I myself am a electronic music producer myself, do you have any plans to do a Lightroom tutorial on your editing process I love the colors your producing out of Lightroom.
Hey, thanks! Yessss, good eye. I write all the intro and montage music for my videos, been a huge synthesis nerd since like 2009 (oops, does that age me? lol) 🤓🎧. Glad you like the style of my editing, I don't plan on doing a video about it though. The documentation and video walkthrough that come included with the preset system on my website are intended to fill that void. Cheers!
Epic review
Appreciate that!
Honey wake up, Dylan Spitz dropped a new video!
😂😂😂😂
Love the video, just subscribed. Quick question, are you able to apply the film simulation recipes in camera to the video?
Hey, thanks! You know, I have never tried…hopefully someone else may see this comment and have some insight for you. Sorry about that!
Yep! I have the X100VI and for the most part you can use recipes if you aren’t shooting in FLog. The film grain and clarity settings don’t work in video but Film Simulation, Highlight & Shadow Tone, White Balance, Tint, and Dynamic Range can all apply to video as well.
Any chance to get an explanation of your grading process for the video part? Really beautiful work
Hey, really appreciate that. I do all of my color grading in DaVinci resolve, just building the node tree based on the look I'm going for. Working on some future material regarding color grading - hopefully dropping this summer, so keep an eye out for that if you're interested. 🫶
I really dig the picture at 12:22 . Great stuff. Which preset did you use on that one? Can you do an editing breakdown on it? Thanks!
Hey, thanks Alex! That was the Smooth preset. My go-to for that richer contrast look with deep colors. That golden evening light on the river definitely helped me out a lot haha
I own this camera as well and the images it produces are just amazing! But the best thing about this camera that it makes you wanna go out and actually use it because it‘s so light and takes away a lot of friction from the shooting process. You don‘t have to decide which lens to use, you don‘t have to bring a heawy bag when shooting and you can use the Film Simulations if you don‘t wanna edit the photos afterwards.
Great video btw. my eyes were glued to the screen😅
Thank you! Tons of great things there - agree with the convenience factor of the camera being one of the biggest selling points. Cheers!
I love your video so much, thanks for sharing your lovely moments. What’s your favorite film situation?
Thank you! I don’t use them other than just switching the vibe of what I’m previewing while shooting. For that purpose I like the nostalgic negative and astia usually.
best user review! I like how the video is solely using the VI. I got my VI on the release date.
However, I am struggled to make nice video with this one. Took it to Florence italy for some video shooting and the result looks really bad.
It would be nice to have guide to make videos with the VI. Set up and angles.
Glad you enjoyed the review! Thanks for watching. Noted 👍
Great Video!!
Thanks!
Fantastic review! Well done. Thanks. Now if I can ever get one of these cameras without spending $500+ over cost.
Right? Hopefully they’ll all finish shipping soon. Thanks for watching!
I am so mermerize with the color of the photos and videos. Do you happen to sell some of the filters and luts?
Hey there! Thank you so much for the kind words. I have a photo editing preset system available on my website - link is in the description!
Great video still waiting for mine to show up
Hope it’s there soon!
@@DylanSpitz yeah I just got an email saying that it should arrive by the end of the month
Woohooo! 💥
My other me got one in the multiverse. Not sure if I will get one in this one.
Great video! I’m wondering how do you make video photo’s? Are these screenshots from the video? Or do you switch the driver from video to photo and back to video when you are shooting? Greetings from Belgium 😊
Hey there 👋 Yes, I was just switching the drive mode back and forth. Thank you!
Nice video, thanks! How do you experience the sharpness of the lens? Some on youtube say the lens is soft, because the lens cant handle the new 40mp sensor.
I don’t find it soft at all. Is it as sharp as a Sony GM lens? No. Is it 1/12 of the weight and still very detailed and clear? Yes.
Nice one! It looks like you're using a pro mist filter for some footage, is that correct?
That is correct! Because it took place over so much time, I had a bunch of outings with or without it, so I didn't want to draw too much attention to it. Just the 1/8 strength so nothing super strong. I do think I like the results in artificial light situations, but the rest of the time I didn't find it made a significant impact enough to worry about it.
High quality video - you sell your preset ? Looks great
I have photo presets available at the link in the description! For video, no LUTs yet….👀
when dylan hits 1m subs imma say i was an OG
😆🤣 And I'll pin it.
Good video! Sorry for asking, but what camera are you using to record this video?
The X100VI!
