hehe I had the wrong rotor thing happened to me when I was helping someone not only that it ws only one rotor plus they used to normal p[roper brake pad which meant that the brake pad on one side was half worn out and over top of the smaller rotor which was making grinding noise for months on this person driving lol
Did you have to out shims on or no? I changed my pads and rotors, did not reuse the shims and the front is squeaking loud especially when slow braking to stop. Did not know what the noise was so brought to dealer and they said there’s no shims.. they put it on and no more noise.
Great job my friend!! Where did you get the 12mm bolts to get the rotors off? By the look of the New pads It appears that they have a rubber backing in lue of grease.
I had braking issues with my 2012 is350 f-sport. I would have vibration while driving and braking. I replaced the front rotors and pads. Test drove it. I still have vibration while driving and even while braking but it all feels like in the back and not the front now. I'm embarrassed because I'm a mechanic of 20 years and i cant figure for the life of me what it is. im going to replace the rear pads and rotors and see if that works. This is irritating because the car is really fun to drive. I cant drive at speeds around 80mph because it shakes so bad especially while braking. Also there isnt alot of videos on these cars at all so im hoping you may have any suggestions. im hoping its just the rear pads and rotors. there is a creaking noise in the back when i lightly let off the brake pedal.
Maybe your tires need to be balanced, that was happening to me in my 06 & after I got my tires rebalanced the car I’d hit 140+ and the car would feel smooth
Hey do you know if small brake pads could also do this? I just purchased a is350 with new brakes and rotors and its doing the same thing yours did but the drums fitment looks right?
You should lube all contact points. You should have used stoptech pads. Are those rotors directional. That one had an r on it. Cooling vents might be directional.
Huge help! Thank you for this great video
The 'worn indicator' rubbing spring should be on the inside - the outside pad thickness is visible with the wheel on.

Im having the same issue so the dealer put shims with the new brake pads shims put them on top?
This car has 4 wheel disc brakes. Is the front and rear the exact same procedure?
Rotors yes, pads might be slightly different.
What about the rear ones...
Those were fine.

I had those laying around from my oem bolts bin.
But what if your pads were old how do you compress the caliper without removing it?
You could use a flat head screwdriver to pry the brake piston back to its original position, though it isn't the most effective option.

Hello sir - tried to replace the rear rotors and twp springs fell out for the parking brake - do you have any ideas how to put this back in?
Did you get it back
@@sergioromero-ob8oy yes - was hard but got it back with needle nose pliers
Had the same problem took me the whole day to do
DIY guy😂😂😂😂
Brakes didn't come with grease... So he said they must not need them .... Bruh what. I've never seen a trans sell the grease with pads 🤦🏻♀️
I miss the old intro
Really? Useless.
