  • This is a tutorial on how to configure Anet A8 machine and print settings with Cura 3.2. Keep in mind that these print settings will vary depending on the condition of your printer along with the kind of filament you are using. The print settings shown in the video above is for hatchbox PLA filament. Amount/intensity of infill, Supports, and resolution of the print is dependant on the user.

    Hi, thanks for sharing your hard work to make it easier for others. My Ainet A8 just arrived, but it is for Xmas, so I was only allowed to do a quick check for any obvious damage; not even opening the parts. I did however manage to persuade my wife to let me have the USB/SDcard to install software. Will this work on Cura 3.6.0 please, as I have downloaded the latest of each of the softwares. Thank you so much.

      @@gusmaiawork For my personal experience, it is better to add less mm becausa the peripheral things that you want to add, like the cable guide, and a 20cm glass in my case "Error cutting it" beside with the 240mm in z axis it almost broke my printer when i did a 230mm height print.

      So you suggest maybe 230 max? I doubt I'll be printing anything that tall anyway.. Not for a long time. But it's good to know that all these perameters are changeable when I decide to build a emt12 with new rods and guides, belts, and extended wires.. I could go up 4 feet if I wanted to.. probably be hard to find someone who sells 4 foot threading though.. That stuff isn't your ordinary average thread.

It is obviously possible to upgrade the basic Anet board to auto level enabled firmware.....even Anets Facebook and website do not have this information...

      how well does the prusa settings work for bridging with your printer?

    • @boingkster
      @boingkster 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi jake, bridging is fine. It will tolerate roughly 20 - 25mm gaps, enough to use 5% infill to print a hollow cube for example. Thats with 192'C / 60'C temps, 54mm print speed and 100mm infill speed. Infill would benefit from dropping to 80 - 90mm speed as with larger objects sometimes the flow can't keep up and the end of the infill strand gets too thin to be structurally sound. I should mention I have my filament feed set to 108% also. These settings have worked really well for me printing all sorts of things.

    • @gonzothegreat1317
      @gonzothegreat1317 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Seems to me that prints on the Prusa take longer than the newly made Anet A8 settings here provided; I cannot figure out why that is. They seem the same size and same specs and everything.

      Download the print to see card. In order to print through monitor you must use a USB cable.

      John Smith technically it is but in reality its less. In the video it is set to 200 just to be safe

    • @eyamnottier3411
      @eyamnottier3411 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Set at 240 but remember...check if your A8 is printing from the real centre....some are offset. Also if you use a brim....the outer first line will be the nearest to the plate edges...so your actual item print as to be sized about 8mm less in size ....or more depending how you set your brim size. in truth it’s very rare you will build anything so big.....

    • @KaikualexanderLee

      Put the micro SD card in your computer and save your file to see then put the card into your printer

    • @flintindustries
      @flintindustries 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I learned the hard way not to print from the cable, it would stop extruding mid-print every time and I kept "unclogging" the nozzle, thinking that was the problem. The problem was fixed as soon as I used the SD card instead.
