    Barrows is genuinely something that feels empowering as a first entry into boss fighting. you get to do a few switches, get into a rhythm, and show off that your account has become capable. Hopefully someday I can start doing Tombs of Amascut

    Always been just an afk skiller but recently started to actually explore what the game has, doing all the quests, and slowly work my way into bossing. My first real PvM was against Jad. Hoping to be able to do other bosses and raids like Tombs of Amascut real soon

    My first ever boss was Obor and it was scary af at the time! But barrows was deffintly my favorite as it taught me about gear swaping and how important prayer was. Also Amascut (:

    Sarachnis definitely taught me how to time prayer flicks - looking forward to giving the tombs of Amascut a go. Calvarion is a great early Boss choice too!

  • @cs7490

    Personally tombs of Amascut is a great place to start learning, not only does it require some pretty solid quests that teach you some pvm tactics, but the raid it's self teaches SO much!

    Vorkath is a great boss that isn't too hard with decent stats. You have to focus the whole time, count attacks, manage venom, and turn prayers back on. It's also the place that a lot of people use to learn woox walking once they're more comfortable. You also get lots of money and the guaranteed head drop at 50 kc for a best in slot item is so useful. Amascut

    • @badgherkin3302

      What’s woox?

    • @joshc9846
      @joshc9846 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@badgherkin3302Woox is a person… he’s a legend as far as Runescape goes. Man has done things nobody else has done before and continually finds ways to innovate in the game. There is a mechanic in the game named after him because he famously used this mechanic. It’s called Woox Walking. Essentially clicking the boss then clicking away from the boss repeatedly in order to keep your character in motion as well as able to be continuously attacking.

    Started playing this game in 2020. Tombs of Amascut was my first ever raid. Your videos and other youtubers helped me a lot. Got my quest cape in February. Surprisingly, Phantom Muspah is my highest kill count rn. Used your elite void guide to get over 70 kills. Thanks for all the great videos!

    Great video! KBD was where I started and where I sent everyone who asked me where to start learning. It gets people out of the shell of not going into the wilderness, its kinda brain dead, has a chance at a pet, as well as it pays for the supplies that you use while boosting confidence in bossing. Entry Tombs of Amascut is also a good suggestion!

  • @OldSchoolSoundscape

    great video! personally, barrows and KBD are where I started my bossing career. Kraken and Cerb were good stepping stones as well. everything basically leads up to the Tombs Of Amascut. it's the best money maker in the game, and the devs have made TOA accessible to lower-level players.

  • @DaGeek07
    @DaGeek07 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Tombs of Amascut is going to be a lot of fun whenever I get up to that level! For super easy starting bosses, it's worth at least mentioning at the bottom of the pile the two F2P bosses, Bryophyta and Obor. They're not super difficult, but they introduce you to a couple mechanics that require you to prep for multi-phase attacks. But they're pretty low on the totem pole...

  • @Rekollect82

    Tombs of Amascut for sure, Masori is my favorite looking set in the game as well.

    I personally like the big blue dragon of Amascut. Vorkath is a great money printer and much easier to learn than Zulrah or gauntlet. But you have to stay focused the entire time :) Either way, great stepping stone towards your end game pvm journey

    • @hqguard2
      @hqguard2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I also agree that the blue undead dragon is very easy and should be on this list. Even my nan can do it when she's outside her cage.

  • @Chealder

    I love the Grotesque Guardians, I learnt so much there: Movement, gear switches, prayer flicking to counter both Dusk and Dawns attacks, managing specs... Still enjoying them a good bit every gargoyle task. And if you make a mistake it's not overly punishing.
    Also ToB entry mode, lizardmen shamans and demonic gorilla's are good learning experiences. Surprised to not see Vorkath on this list as I find it easier than Zulrah.
    Amascut.

    Thank you so much for this video! I've seen some of your other videos on the subject and they have helped a lot. I think this is a great list that is more or less accessible to me at my current stage of growth (or at least the "entry" ones!). It helps to see the progression of what's out there and give me something easy to start with and a path to progress along as well.

    Might have to update this, Scurrious is a great low level pvm boss to learn

  • @peyoteguy425
    @peyoteguy425 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    The first PvM boss I really got into, apart from stuff like Jad, was corrupt gauntlet, and while it took about 30 deaths to learn, and another 10-15 or so to be above 50% success rate, it really made me a lot better and I was able to learn a lot of other things pretty quickly.
    I would say the most important thing it taught me was to not waste ticks eating and to only eat when necessary. It's a massive DPS boost.

    My personal favorite is Sarachnis. I learned prayer switches, some quick prayer flicking, gear switching, and inventory spots with spec weapons. As I got better, I tried to shoot for conservation of supplies and getting multiple KC within single trips. All of that for a shot at an alright pet and great GP for what you learn (although, not great compared to other bosses).

    Just tried the grotesque guardians last night and got all the elite combat achievement and all the others that go with it done on my first Kc. 10 kc later I get launched and stacked by boulders again. Grab my stuff and go back in. Stacked by the yellow shoulder and boulders again. I won’t be stopped. I’ll be back at it tonight after work. Going to be a few months before I even try the amascut entry mode. But I have my goals set!

  • @InsaneWhip
    @InsaneWhip ปีที่แล้ว

    My go-to as of late has been Zulrah of Amascut, once I learned how to do it, it became a challenge of trying to drop my personal best as much as I can with the low/mid level gear I have. At about 70kc now and got a tanzanite fang drop at 43kc! The prices have dropped as you mentioned in the video, but the prayer changing and gear switching is essential for raids down the road

    Amascut! That said, I think the TzHaar fight caves is great for teaching prayer flicking and learning how to use movement and objects and even mobs to your advantage. Also fighting Jad for the first time was terrifying even knowing what I was supposed to flick one mistake took me out and with the amount of time invested teaching one how to remain focused for an extended period of time.

    I would recommend the Deranged Archaeologist for people to start their PVM journey for the following reasons:
    - Teaches you basic movement
    - Noob friendly
    - Not in wildy
    - Easy to learn
    - Low level requirements

  • @colepuckett6058
    @colepuckett6058 ปีที่แล้ว

    Amascut. I think my favorite starter boss to learn PVM has been Barrows and Sarachnis. I had a friend teach me how to do both of them and it helped me get those easy combat achievements. Barrows certainly taught me the importance of Prayer Pots and Sarachnis has helped me learn to not panic in a boss fight since all the little minions can shred your hp if you aren't paying attention. Barrows is certainly better for drops but Sarachnis is better for a challenge.

  • @krishnapani1343
    @krishnapani1343 ปีที่แล้ว

    I started Barrows a few days ago as my first ever entry into PvM.
    It's insanely fun, honestly. I genuinely enjoy Barrows! I'm not good at switching and prayer flicking so I've been using it to hone my skills a bit. I'm already at 101 runs(Currently doing one as I watch this) and I've got 8 Barrows items so far. No Ahrim yet though. I'm gonna try the Dagannoth Kings later today

    IMO, the Tombs of Amascut is the best raid in terms of profitability and overall enjoyment. However, the best boss to begin your PvM journey would probably be Barrows. Only took me a few runs to get the hang of it and get a few pieces :D

    • @vivekjkumar5797
      @vivekjkumar5797 ปีที่แล้ว

      its not profitable. its just pure rng crap. do 100 runs which takes almost an hour each for a chance to win an item which can cost anywhere between 5m to 1.5B. no ty, better stick to vorkath or zulrah for consistent money.

    I gotta mention the KBD! While there aren't any special mechanics, KBD teaches how to manage one's health, prayer points, and potion effects. Also, at med level, demonic gorillas (even tho they're a demiboss) are a nice challenge and do a good job of teaching switching both gear and prayers. Glory to Amascut!😊

I think Spindel is a good boss to learn, have to move for the web attack, kill Minions, change prayers, can block most damage if paying attention, also can help reaction times when you have to tele from pkers also has has decent drops, a pet and an expensive rare drop. Very easy to learn too.

    My bossing journey was going straight into Zulrah with 0 pvm experience, camped it for 1k, finally got bored, progressed my account enough to do ds2, got addicted to vorkath because the gp, killed it 2k+ times, got pet, went back to zulrah for another 1k, No pet yet at zulrah. Decided to do muspah for a break, and loving it so far. Don't have Tbow, but I use bowfa with ancestral/sang switch and get 2:50 kills on avg, not the best, but still similar gp to vorkath without tbow which is better than zul'rah, highly reccomend muspah to people stuck doing zulrah and vork and getting bored with it, the quest is super easy to do also. (also I have cleared 1 entry ToA, and 1 , (150) ToA, and haven't tried 300 + yet, I one shot the 150 and decided I was happy with it until I grind more gold for better gear. I've probably made 300-500m since then but am so addicted to solo bossing lol.

    Awesome video! Ive got a question though: you suggested minimum equipment but what about minimum combat level or combat skills? Can I just assume it is whatever number it takes to equip the minimum equipment?
    Also my giveaway application: PvM is a great way to Amascut some gp!

    I think KBD is a good boss for beginner PVM. Don't need high levels. Just bring antidote, antifrire shield/pot, a super restore and some food you can sit there as long as you have food. AMASCUT

    I find this list interesting considering the quest losses from beneath cursed sands and song of the elves being moderately difficult on their own

    I think the gautlent is game changer. It is introduction to the flicking, tick manipulation, switches etc.. But Amascut is simply best. Easy to learn, hard to master.

    I’ve been loving tombs of Amascut and cg on my mid lvl GIM - still waiting for thread and yellow gem (:

    I whole heartedly agree, out of any of the bosses, Tombs of Amascut is the most enjoyable

    If you use a ring of stone after sarachinis binds you it will break his bind so therefore you can have more dps.

    I definitely need to learn how to do Tombs of Amascut but I keep wanting to level up my skills so I typically stick to Slayer bosses for my PVM experience.
    I personally think The Barrows Brothers is probably the best entry level boss because they are very easy to defeat, the gear needed to get started is very cheap, and the gp made is pretty decent, especially with the Mortania hards completed (somewhat easy). The Giant Mole is also pretty easy and gives pretty good gp, although The Baby Mole pet is really the only cool thing to get from it.

    My favorite years ago definitely was barrows brothers. The dropping items on death stopped me from doing pvm back then but I was always comfortable with them. Hopefully I can finally get use to the Tombs of Amascut and get some good drops.
