@@wow-roblox8370Pretty sure that one is actually the USSR / Modern Russia, not the Russian Empire. The Russian Empire would be a weird one to put rn since there’s stuff like the British Empire or 2nd French Empire instead.
Phase 5: Every single claimant to the Roman Empire at once: Italy (Rome), Russia (religion - closest relation with Second Rome over Orthodoxy, also marriage with the last emperor's daughter), Greece (successor to Byzantine), Turkey (yes, they do claim to be the successor due to Ottoman Empire taking Second Rome), France (king of Franks was once crowned as an Emperor of the Roman Empire) and others (there's a lot)
America could be included as a successor to the Roman republic since we based our government off of it (which is why DC is all Roman architecture) and America acts a lot like Rome did. (Conquering most of a continent, claiming to be a peaceful nation despite that not really being the case, and in a century or two from now our republic might be overthrown and well enter our empire arc) Of course the most legitimate successor of Rome is Finland.
@casmd2131 thing is, America is Carthago. >weird dispute over an Island with a land power that has a crazy demography >mercantile >the best navy of its time. The fourth punic war will be fought against the US.
Legacy gives that burning feel of "fighting a losing battle" vibe. because you know your empire (or, what is left of it as a falling byzantine) has no hope left after 1480 years of striving to survive. pretty neat soundtrack for a final fight. (in 1.5x it's heavenly)
yep but the byzantines still held on aganist the ottomans as the ottomaons could not touch constainoples walls... when the ottomons imported cannons which finally broke the walls down no one survived in the city. a pure genocide of a whole people
@@VectorJW9260 ah i see but still the ghost on the right is the roman empire right? i dont know too much about the latin empire ~~i need to read up on it~~ as my knowledge on that area is rather.... hazy
@@VectorJW9260How about the Visigoths? They were initially an ally of the West Romans, establishing a large client state in southern Gaul and northern Hispania, before later rebelling and helping sack Rome proper.
@@VectorJW9260 Is that not the Germans? The Romans originally hated them (like Sans did with the human) Then because of the many treaties with them (the promise to Toriel) they become friendly. After invading Gallia, Hispania and Britannia the Romans decide to fight back. A fight ending in Roman loss
I've been thinking of who you might be playing as in all of these. And here's what I got: Paragon: The Cherusci, no doubt. Besides them the Iceni work. Double Trouble: I think the Franks might fit really well from what I've heard about them, though they don't really betray Rome until a little later so... maybe the Goths work better? But It's not a perfect match due to the lack of longstanding trust. Dynamic Duo no Longer: Here I think the Franks work best, since they both fought the last remaining Roman presence in gaul (The Sossions) but also faced off against the Goths as well. So it wroks really well if you aren't fighting the Eastern Romans at the same time. Do as Romans do: The Franks might work since they fought the Eastern Romans quite a bit but where closer to a 'semi ally' in the previous eras. Besides them the Bulgarians might work decently since they kinda just show up, cause problems for the Romans, embrace their ways and then try to exlipce them as the dominant nation in the Balkans. Blasphemy: Here it get's murky since the Latin Empire didn't really have any longstanding allies that betrayed them from what I know. But if we are going by it being a sort of 'mock battle' then playing as the Seljuk Sultanate of Rum or Bulgaria might work to illustrate how you are 'the traditional enemy' of Rome but.. Something is wrong with Rome which is the main focus here likely. Legacy: Here I think Serbia works best. The Serbian despotate started as a part of Byzantium, but it broke off and tried to build it's own empire and replace Byzantium as the primary Christian power. But Venice also fits in reaaaal nice considering their good ties before *the incident* Love the work you put into these!
Thanks a lot for the comment! > Something is wrong with Rome which is the main focus here likely. Yup, that's the intent! Yk, I didn't even think about who you're playing as in each situation, lol Nice analysis
Could you please upload the phases separately for playlist making reasons? I want to add these to my boss fight music playlist for my campaign, but I also want to be able to have some other songs in between these phases instead of 15 minutes of Roman Megalovania.
Crazy how this TH-camr has under 10k subscribers, they deserve 1m+ 🙏 So glad I found fearmonger so I could find this channel, such a great song, so are these
this like an alternate timeline or something? there's no way some bloke is fighting rome (or at least, a crude representation of it and its....well, "offspring") for 1480 years straight.
Given that Germany was kind of the "biggest enemy" during the World Wars, and Nazi Germany was among the most evil nations in history, this one could fit well as a Your Best Nightmare instead of a Megalovania. The main song is about Germany as a whole, each SOUL segment is about a different incarnation, and the Finale is about the fall of the Berlin Wall and about modern-day Germany
@mathcookie8224 well, flowey absorbed the souls and were using them against their will, so maybe each soul segment could be a country the Germans occupied? (Poland, Czechoslovakia, France, Austria, Denmark, Norway?)
The theme you get when playing a Paradox published game and starting next to a AI empire that for some reason already hates you.

(Conquering most of a continent, claiming to be a peaceful nation despite that not really being the case, and in a century or two from now our republic might be overthrown and well enter our empire arc)
Of course the most legitimate successor of Rome is Finland.
@casmd2131 thing is, America is Carthago.
>weird dispute over an Island with a land power that has a crazy demography

The fourth punic war will be fought against the US.
To them- it was an everything
Their homes, their lives, their very faith and gods-
To rome- it was but a legion.
what carthage heard in the third punic war
One for Poland and the PLC would be dope.
Also TH-cam has blessed my morning recommendations with this.
Long live Rome.
Legacy gives that burning feel of "fighting a losing battle" vibe. because you know your empire (or, what is left of it as a falling byzantine) has no hope left after 1480 years of striving to survive. pretty neat soundtrack for a final fight.
(in 1.5x it's heavenly)
yep but the byzantines still held on aganist the ottomans as the ottomaons could not touch constainoples walls... when the ottomons imported cannons which finally broke the walls down no one survived in the city. a pure genocide of a whole people
@@flamingrubys11mfw no? Greeks in the Ottoman Empire called themselves Roman until... basically modern Greece became independent
@@VectorJW9260yeah but still the Byzantines were doomed to fall. Though the ‘Roman’s’ survived, the Roman Empire was on its last legs
Blasphemy goes unbelievably hard as a song title
This is definitely going on the playlist of badass songs to listen to whilst writing great work on all these
I wouldn't be suprised if that was romans who actually beat monsters till their near annihilation.. pretty much roman style for me tbh
"How often do monsters think about the Roman Empire?"
You think who actually defeated them in a first place?
Ok what if- bad time trio with “The allies” (The Judges) vs nazi germany
now we need wa'er bo'le alovania british megalovania
i was about to go to bed but i found this gem recommended, now i gotta be here for atleast 3 loops
I can feel Caesar coming inside me
Aye what you mean by that 🤨
@@barracudainaboat9135 they can feel caesar coming inside of them didnt what they wrote
wtf
☠️
VERA DICO
We need a megalovania for the months of the year
i second that
i love how phase 4 both musical and image wise implies that the hre is rather the dead body of the western roman empire being puppeted by someone else
@@flamingrubys11 The Latin Empire is being puppeted by the HRE, more precisely
@@VectorJW9260 ah i see but still the ghost on the right is the roman empire right? i dont know too much about the latin empire ~~i need to read up on it~~ as my knowledge on that area is rather.... hazy
Why does "Do as the romans do" give me ultrakill vibes even though its the most chill of the five???
I shared this with a friend and they said" What's so roman about this? This is false advertising."
Do what you will with that piece of info
It sounds so cool, I love it
*If the empire is gonna fall.
*The emperor will take you with it.
Undertale but you play as the German tribes
well that's miscontextualizing the Sans role
You play as someone who was on good terms with the Roman Empire, but fucked up real bad.
Disgruntled general.
Could not have made this at a better time. Thank you so much
The Clash of a Cross and a Crescent
Do a Swedish Empire one next if you can. But whatever you create next i know it'll be a masterpiece.
I guess you haven’t unlocked the secret Mussolini phase yet. I think that only happens if you go Genocide Route.
Bro, This is so good lol
So goated....
This makes me feel so Roman. You are tempting me to become a Roma-boo. This is the cruelest punishment one could get...10/10
good job, i like it
I'm glad you like it
Can’t wait for the Mongols
I was actually hoping for this oddly enough 😭
*Tis a fine day outside...
Will you be uploading each song separately? All the songs are amazing btw!!
8:28 OH!!! I FOUND THE REFERENCE!!!!
the reference to what?
@@VectorJW9260 idk i just feel like i've heard this somewhere
probably create one for carthage but it will be megalo strike back
I've been thinking of who you might be playing as in all of these. And here's what I got:
Paragon: The Cherusci, no doubt.
But Venice also fits in reaaaal nice considering their good ties before *the incident*
Love the work you put into these!
Thanks a lot for the comment!
> Something is wrong with Rome which is the main focus here likely.
Yup, that's the intent!
Yk, I didn't even think about who you're playing as in each situation, lol
Nice analysis
Blasphemy is the best one
YES
What women hear when they ask their boyfriends/husbands how often they think about the Roman empire:
How about something like this for the various historical centralized Chinese governments?
9:50 why do i recognize this sounds (sans phase 14 reference?)
it's the same chord progression yeah
Ok thanks keep up the good work btw I enjoyed the music you make for everyone
Could you please upload the phases separately for playlist making reasons? I want to add these to my boss fight music playlist for my campaign, but I also want to be able to have some other songs in between these phases instead of 15 minutes of Roman Megalovania.
9:56 [[PIPIS]]
yeah
spamton has made it so puppet strings are permanently green in my conception and sprites
Crazy how this TH-camr has under 10k subscribers, they deserve 1m+ 🙏
So glad I found fearmonger so I could find this channel, such a great song, so are these

Theres already a soviet one
its called proletariat in russian
@lubuskimapper4414 Well I'll be damned, neat!
banger
this like an alternate timeline or something? there's no way some bloke is fighting rome (or at least, a crude representation of it and its....well, "offspring") for 1480 years straight.

now do the mongol empire
Heya
SANS UNSERTALES??????????
NOW DO HRE, PRUSSIA, GERMAN EMPIRE, WEIMAR, THIRD REIC, AND SPLIT GERMANY!
(Poland, Czechoslovakia, France, Austria, Denmark, Norway?)
nah carthage makes more sense
