    Dude the outtake at the end😂.... I teach school online, I make a lot of videos for my students.....I can't count the number of times I get tongue tied or forget to turn the mic on......I think I'd want to go with the widest kayak I could afford.

    those extra bars on the front are if you want to secure gear in the front hatch with a cut proof strap while you are away from your kayak, or a super easy way to run cam straps to secure extra gear on top of the front hatch for overnight trips. very nice comparison sir, if you get down around columbus georgia and want to get in another or the Take 2 rigged for solo fishing, give me a holler.

    I just got the Shoalie...awesome on the water..turns on a dime...nice speed up current...the nose NEVER digs into cross current...the 77 pounds is rough to handle....can't even imagine another 20 pounds for the Coosa...I do like the long rails on the Coosa...I crossed a trough coming over a broken down dam and though the nose would get turned and I would be fighting the current...nope...skipped right across the top and the back end came around when I went to turn up current and I glided sideways into the bank...that was cool.

    It's nice to see a direct comparison between the coosa x and shoalie. I'll be receiving the Bonafide RVR119 next month, i can't wait to see how it compares

      Hope you dont regret it. With a capacity of 340lbs (TG canoe and kayak actually rated it at 327 in their testing) there is no way i would get an rvr. That and after being burned by bonafides deceptive capacity ratings when I got my ss127 I'll likely never purchase one of their boats again. I got it expecting to put 475lbs into the boat. When I got mine they didnt have the disclaimer on their website that the boats weight is subtracted from that capacity. Its absurd, misleading and dangerous.

    • @OnlyFins
      @OnlyFins ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All vehicles weights are subtracted from their total weight capacity. It applies to boats, cars, trucks, trains, planes, and chinese spy balloons

    • @MysticalDragon73
      @MysticalDragon73 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OnlyFins That is laughable and shows how you are totally CLUELESS if you think so. Weight capacity is how much weight you can put into something. If you get a pickup with a half ton capacity, you arent subtracting the vehicles weight from that. If that was the case, you would have zero capacity since most pickups weigh well over 1000lbs. Also as a pilot and aircraft mechanic, i can tell you categorially that you are wrong about aircraft weight being subtracted from its capacity. You might be thinking Max gross weight NOT capacity. Even basic common sense says this.
      Also, jackson kayaks capacities are CLEARLY what you put into the boat. Ive seen this first hand, and chris the feral one has a video of the coosa X confirming this. TG canoe and kayaks tests results also show jacksons capacities are accurate with what you put into the boat.
      I suggest you go back to class until you learn what you are talking about.

    The front rod holders are probably designed for stowing them as you approach low hanging trees/branches and what not on the river. I would definitely utilize this on most strips.

    I think if you're the type that prefers to stand in your River Yak, then the Coosa X makes more sense. If you're more the type that wants to paddle, needs the maneuverability and portability, and don't really need to stand then the Shoalie is great. I think they should've just called the Coosa X the Knarr-Lite. I do feel that Jackson could've and should've made it stock with foot control steering for stern mounted motors, especially with knowing that it's going to be popular with Larger Anglers due to it's overall bigger footprint, and that due to the combined weight between Yak and Angler, that it's likely to end up with a motor on it to at least push upstream.

    • @ChrisFunktheFeralOne
      @ChrisFunktheFeralOne ปีที่แล้ว +1

      it really paddles upstream better than any kayak i have ever run in the Jackson line. it hits the turbulence, rises above it and just pulls into stuff i have struggled with in several other models. the maneuverability is off the charts if the seat is trimmed correctly, 180 degree turn with one sweep of the blade every time. i know it seems i am biased, but i didn't want to like the X due to the weight alone but it surpassed every expectation.

      @@ChrisFunktheFeralOne I'm not hating on it Chris, I would've run right out and bought a Coosa X already if not for having geared up my Shoalie. I like to stand, so the Coosa X would've been a better fit for me. A bigger dude than me was asking on FB about stability while standing, that he prefers to stand in his Yak and Fish, I told him the Coosa X was his boat then, but I think he was steered a different route by several others who dismissed what I shared about standing in the particular Yak he was considering, so I hope he doesn't end up regretting his purchase. You're 110% correct when you tell everyone to Paddle whatever they're interested in FIRST before buying.

      @@ThomasMichaelSeaboldt understand! and stability has a lot to do with boat the kayak, and the angler! i know for me it was vary much a learned behavior over time to keep my legs loose and movable instead of rigid. it made a huge difference in whatever i was trying to stand in.

    This was an ok video but the sound quality was very poor. Wearing headphones made the video almost unwatchable.
