    Oof, $2k for a 100-pound paddle boat is a hard no for me. I would opt for a Crescent Shoalie if I wanted to paddle, and if not I'd consider a Hobie Passport 10.5 (short for more maneuverability).

      @battlefieldoutdoors ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Crescent Litetackle 12 is also a good option. It's $1,100, 34-inches wide, and weighs 75lbs. Crescents are the best tracking kayaks we sell without a rudder (and we carry 12 brands) and yet it somehow still turns so easily. They've done a damn fine job!

    As an owner of the new Coosa X I must say the rod holders on the sides of the seat is useless. There just isn’t enough room for multiple rods with reels and when you slide the seat back and forth it hits the reels. It’s a major issue for me and a let down by Jackson kayaks! I have been a Jackson kayak supporter for a long time but I think there will be a rvr119 in my future.

    Was all set to be bored about this kayak, after the first 3 minutes watching, very impressed, you really explained it well. I love my Nucanoe, for the value however so many nice features on this Coosa.

    Hey Chad it would be an awesome idea to do that with the white decal as a veterans standing. Also I am getting myself a native slayer pro max 12.5 in the liberty style of red, white, and blue. It's gonna be sick to fish out of that beautiful boat this year.

      @@battlefieldoutdoors since I live in Colorado, we have a lot of white water rapids and gigantic lakes/reservoirs. I bought a crescent crew two years ago, but the keel is so defined on it and I don't want to puncture a hole in the hull.

      @@Crussman499 you’re really looking for 2 different kayaks, unless you are good enough to handle that white water and not flip in a kayak like this.
      Coosa X or crescent Shoalie is your best bet for both worlds.
      I’m more fond of the coosa X personally.

    I can’t get past the foot braces being in the center like that. Not sure if it’s a “better“ option than the HD

    • @ChadHooverFishing
      @ChadHooverFishing  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah. Like I said, I understand that it’s how you make the side rod holders work without having the boat be 38” wide, but it’s still a little awkward for me. I’m going to keep messing with it to see if it grows on me, but I’m still going to experiment with putting the bar across it instead

    Tying to decide between Coosa X and Nucanoe Frontier. Mainly for French Broad Holston and Little pigeon. And some class 2 or 3 rapids. Which one would be more maneuverable and stable?

    • @ChadHooverFishing
      @ChadHooverFishing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I wouldn’t recommend either of those for that water honestly. I would look at the Crescent Shoalie and Bonafide RVR119 for those conditions.

    How does this kayak do on lakes and in wind beings it has a higher hull?

    • @ChadHooverFishing
      @ChadHooverFishing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would likely be very vulnerable to the wind and would probably spin very easily, especially with rods or other things sticking up in the back.
      It would probably weather vane quite a bit.
