If you were to just pick ONE all around kayak out of all that you've been in - which would it be? Looking to get my first kayak and I prefer fishing creeks and rivers over busy open lakes. My eyes have been set on the Sportsman PDL 120 - but looking at all the other options out there in the meantime. I like the idea of being able to use the pedal drive when in deep enough water.

I use the original Charlie Case ones.. I use them with a size 1 circle hook on drop shot and can get over 20 fish per bait.

Not to mention, a five gallon bucket comes in handy in the event of a "code red." 💩💩💩🤣🤣🤣

Nice !! Up front , in front of the bed on top of the V part of the hitch I added a locking storage box That makes a great place to store straps and other things I need Just make sure the box can not be hit by you truck as you turn

upgrade the trailer lights to marine waterproof for sure.

I bought a homemade landscape trailer for just this reason. I have two Nucanoe kayaks I want to be able to move. I already had a converted jet-ski trailer, but that can only take one at a time. I am trying to come up with a fixture to load and unload them easier, and then quickly convert to a utility trailer if needed.

I might have a connection on a 5x14 trailer that might work for your situation if you’re looking in the future. It’s my old trailer but gave it to my cousin many years ago.

You will be glad later you got a dovetail because it’s so much easier loading mower or anything else

First off, don't leave the adapter...it'll get stolen. Utility trailer is great. You can either build a box or boxes for your rods and gear and slide yak on top...lockable boxes or get one of those truck bed boxes with drawer system instead of building. That's what I'm going to do with mine. Options and versatility. Great choice.

I have a 6x8 trailer that I wasn't using and I drive a chevy cruze. Hooked up the cruze with hitch, new lights on the 300lb trailer. So much easier, Did way more trips this year. 👍👍

Nice! I bought the same trailer. A short ladder rack makes it easy for me to carry 4 kayaks.

Good job man. I like your new trailer. There’s so much you can do with it. Although, I’d love a dedicated kayak trailer but after spending so much recently on a motor and batteries, it’ll be a while. I repurposed my 6x10 utility trailer I bought in 2010. I cut the 4 ft gate in half and bolted a piece of angle to each side of the gate to make it 12 ft flat. Then, used 4” pvc for bunks and bolted them down on the floor. Hauls my Titan X 12.5 great. 👍

Sweet Trailer and a Good Price. Sometimes you have to spend. Time saved long term is money earned.

I took a harbor freight trailer and made it into a kayak trailer. Fun project for me and the kiddo to do in our spare time. I have a pic of it here on my TH-cam.

I think that i would pull that 7 pin adapter out of the suburban when not in use in order to keep dust , dirt and crap out of it . Keep the lid closed on the suburban plug . Nice trailer .

I don’t think the dinger is thick enough to need an ewg . I just use an offset round bend.

Like a lot of folks I had a Suburban. Mine was a 2004. Not quite as sharp as yours but the basic design of the vehicle is the key to how useful it is. That plus an extremely reliable engine make a great choice. Your plan for it is perfect. 0:11

Need to get a boot drier so you don’t have to leave them outside, it will them from shrinking like they are doing

They are nice and they worth it putting a new motor in them if it goes bad, just put motor in my that I use for pulling boat and camping out of it, motor lasted 350,000 miles just got new motor and plan on driving it another 350,000 miles

Really liking my boundary boots , they are a lightweight boot option that feels like a shoe in the yak! Definitely not a pure wading boot but excellent at launch and getting out for occasional portage or dragging a shallow riffle. Been looking at the Columbia’s to add to the arsenal.

This was a good video man . I have a question ? You said that you're a sz15 & i am a sz15 too . Do you have wide feet 🦶 & were do you by your shoes at . I have big & very very Extremely wide feet 🦶 sz15 6E wide ( which is very very extremely wide feet 🦶 ) with very very chubby fat wide toes that are Evenly straight across making my foot very very Extremely wide at 6 1/2 inches wide from my big toe to my lil toe . I can only wear flip flops 🩴 which barely & I mean barely fit on my feet 🦶 because my toes are wider than the flip flops 🩴 straps . I have to kayak 🛶 , drive my car 🚗 , pickup 🛻 , & truck 🚛 barefooted 👣 because of how extremely wide my feet 🦶 are . Good video buddy thanks you for sharing this video buddy . P.S. Thanks for the video. I have been using old running shoes, Under Armour Men's Micro G Kilchis Sneaker and Merrell Men's Hydro Moc Drift Clog which have worked well for me.

Thanks for showing me things I never knew existed. Teva sandals have been my kayak/canoe warm weather go to for 40yrs. Also use Merrill Moab hikers (w/Vibrium sole) for when I need more protection, they hold up well. Otherwise I'm in waders.

Link to the columbia cast back shoe is for women's sizes. Shouldn't be an issue for men but gotta do the size conversion!

Astral rassler’s are the best I’ve used…they are kayaking shoes, but they are all I need waders or not…only complaint is the drain holes in the front, can along some sand in…but they grip phenomenally.

I need a new pair! I've been using an old pair of Chota felt soles that are more of an open toed sandal. They are great for warmer weather, and have held up for probably 20 years! They don't make them like they used too. But yeah good under water wading shoes are hard to find, thanks for the tips. I'll probably look for another pair of Chotas....FishOn....Jim

I love my Korkers All Axis. Basically a real comfy tennis shoe with interchangeable soles-felt and a couple of different rubber soles available.

reminds me to go get my water boots out of my truck bed from last creek trip. They are Merrell Moab low tops. Work well in North Texas limestone/gravel creeks.
