    On early mk5 Jettas and rabbits, you can’t really route the boost tube anywhere but around everything due to the different design of the timing sensor.

    There seemed to be a little gap between the block and the plate after I installed it.. wasn’t sure if that was the rubber gasket or not. Hopefully it stops the oil leak

    Why did you not remove the battery and tray? It makes access to the shift cable and pump so much easier.

      I do that sometimes too

    What kind of tool did you use to unscrew those nuts on the pump in that tight space? Most video I found, they need to remove the battery and tray to have more opening.

    • @EuropeanAutoRepair
      @EuropeanAutoRepair  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe I just used a 3in 1/4in extension with a socket, sometimes removing battery tray helps

      i did mine w out taking the battery tray out just the battery and just used a socket with an extension

    Question: I replaced the gasket on the vacuum pump yet I still have a leak but it seems that is coming from hose that goes to the breather valve, can that be replaced by itself?

    • @EuropeanAutoRepair
      @EuropeanAutoRepair  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The hose could be replaced but it’s likely you will need to replace your vacuum pump assembly

      If it’s leaking or you are losing assist I would install that delete kit personally

    Is this a reliable kit? Are there any issues with reliability or anything after installing it?

    • @EuropeanAutoRepair
      @EuropeanAutoRepair  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I haven’t had a single issue, installed one on my own car and drove it for around 80k miles without problem

    If the pump malfunctions will it keep the car from running?

    Can you use this kit along with an oil catch can ?

    • @EuropeanAutoRepair
      @EuropeanAutoRepair  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah you could do that, you wouldn’t need that tee on the booster to intake hose

  • @christianshawes
    @christianshawes 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Do you have to replace the hose too?

    • @EuropeanAutoRepair
      @EuropeanAutoRepair  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You don’t have to if it’s not damaged, they are pretty commonly broken though so replacing it isn’t a bad idea

    I heard this delete can cause a "oil pressure low" alarm. Have u experienced anything like that or a difference in braking

    • @EuropeanAutoRepair
      @EuropeanAutoRepair  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I drove my personal vehicle for about 60k miles with this delete installed and have put in on several other cars over the years without issue, brake feel in my opinion is unchanged
