Yes. I’ve had to turn a rental property into code enforcement in my town. I made the complaint on line at their website with a written description and picture. They issue a warning to the owner to take care of it. If not, they cut it and charge the owner. Thanks for the work you do.
That's sorry of the homeowner not to keep up the property and I wouldn't have rented the house till the grass was cut! Great job Fill on the transformation!
The homeowner probably rented out this house the first time with a maintained yard, but the renters that moved out never maintained it and now the new renter was going to take care of the yard but Fill's Lawn Care took care of it. Home owners should state in the rental agreement that the renters have to maintain the yard or have the home owner do so and send the bill to the renters or increase the rent to compensate for this yard work. Many renters assume they don't have to maintain the yard of the home they rented, but that is not the case in most States.
@@mauriceharting5877 Assuming that you dont have to maintain the property that you rent is ludicris, Of course you are responsible to maintain the yard just as you are responsible to keep the inside of the home clean. Unbelievable that an owner would rent a house out with a yard like that! Unbelievable that she rented it in that condition! I sure wouldn’t have. Another great deed you did Fill. I know she was happy to have you offer to mow it. You really transformed it into a manageable yard. Hope she keeps it up!
I know, right! Even if the renters moved in a basic mower couldn’t handle that kind of a job. It would definitely take a special mower to cut through all of that thank goodness Fill was there to help out as per usual. 👍👏❤️
The landlord should be ashamed of himself to let the grass get in the condition it was in and then to have the nerve to rent it out . He sounds like a money hungry hog.😮
Fill I think you are the only one that rakes up all the long grass and takes it away. Many of the mowers just leave the grass in the yard. When your lawn job is done the yards always look much nicer than the other lawn mowers. Another great job Fill! 👍😎

I wouldn't have rented there because if the landlord is willing to let the yard go like that, imagine how long they'd take to repair anything in the house?
Great video! That landlord should have cut that grass before renting it out again. Im so happy you helped this renter out, maybe they will be able to maintain it now since you got it all back in order.
A typical personal lawnmower could not have handled that yard. The home owner should have taken care of that. Shame on them. Disgraceful. Slumlord. Ugh. Thank you for helping the renter.
That would've been a red flag for me that the owner is a slum lord. To show a potential tenant that house without cutting the yard tells me that you don't give a damn.
Great transformation Fill!! The adjacent neighbor (with the 2-story, blue house) owes you a rib dinner. The tall grass by the tenant’s fence made their house look bad. They had a beautiful yard but you fixed that for them by doing a great job to the tenant’s lawn.
I haven't had any violations but b4 we bought the .50 acre lot next to our existing .50 acre w/house I had to call them bcs the lot was owned by an out of state [FL] developer that let it go. We bought the lot and keep it mowed, and natural for the neighborhood and the wildlife. Everyone is happy we're not building on it!!!

Here if you rent a house the landlord expects you to take care of the lawn. Everyone knows that. If you are a renter and don't want to be responsible for keeping the yard up you rent an apartment where it's the landlords responsibility to cut the grass. Her landlord was lucky to rent it with the yard looking like that. Most people would not have rented it until after the grass had been mowed.
Where I live 90 percent of the landlords who rent houses expects the tenant to do lawn care. Only someone who is moving out of their parents home for the first time would not know that. If you rent a house here you have two choices do the lawn care yourself or pay someone to do it for you.

Whomever rents the house from the owner is responsible for maintaining the yard. I’m not certain about outside the fence, though; but I would want to keep both neat, so I’d mow the area outside the fence too…unless the city is supposed to maintain that part. If so, they did a lousy job of it! Way to go, Fill! You always do a fantastic job on the yards you mow.

Great job Fill, your equipment will need some TLC after this job. If you rent a house looking like this then it's on you. There are definitely slum landlords out there for sure. Hopefully they can now keep it maintained from this point moving forward.
Me either but it really depends on the lease agreement. Either way I would not live anywhere, own or lease, and let the yard get bad like that. I also have a hard time with people who leave their trash in the yard. I mean come on. How hard is it to throw it away properly? I often have to pickup a piece of trash on my 3 acres I maintain because either some idiot threw it out their window instead of waiting until they get home to throw it away properly or it was loose in the trash bin instead of being bagged up properly causing it to blow off the garbage truck when they come by for collection.
Why don't the renters get out there and cut the grass ? I rent a house all the outside maintenance and the yard work is my responsibility . Please don't tell me that they're older I'm 58 I've suffered a heart attack sepsis and my appendix also ruptured and a few months ago I had half my colon taken out because they found colon cancer and I still get up and take care of my lawn
Are yard maintenance services expensive where you live? and I hope you are recovering. Can't be a great idea to push a mower after so much illness and surgeries...
Congratulations to you. My experience is when you rent homes out, they are clean when people move in. Then they decide to move and tear up the inside. The renters will keep the outside great and won't do a bit inside. We have a lot of dirty people out here. They don't care!!!!
I don’t understand how the owner could rent this place as the condition it’s inn and have the audacity to charge rent for it. If the outside is this bad how much work is needed on the inside.? And to mow inside two fences. Must be cheap rent. I’d take the front wooden fence down so it’s easier to mow. Nothing but junk to mow around. It ridiculous. That must be a hot tub sitting there? Who in their right mind would want to use that ! Can you imagine the crap in the water and filter ! You did an excellent job ! The owner should thank you! He. Should also be turned over as a slum lord
Love watching your videos. That backyard was a tough one! We keep our yard maintained so no code enforcement problems. My favorite part is watching the fence lines cleared. 😃
I don't get people who rent a house and then act like yard maintenance came as a surprise. On other similar channels I've noticed that they generally cry poor or health issues. Not having shared walls comes with more responsibility.
@@stevied3400 Obviously I am referring to situations where the renter is responsible for yard maintenance, but your desire to be contrairian in the face of all logic is noted.

I think many times, people don’t think about the yard upkeep. Most renters don’t own the equipment.

Man does it ever!
It is the property owners responsibility to cut the grass, not the renter’s, unless it is in the lease agreement for the renter to do it.
@@stevied3400 Obviously I am referring to situations where the renter is responsible for yard maintenance, but your desire to be contrairian in the face of all logic is noted.
@@stevied3400 May depend on the region or customs of the place you live in. Even city to city the "usual" can be different per lease agreements. Different countries too, would place different expectations on renters vs landlords.
