The lady was going to use a push mower to cleanup this property after renters left it in shambles.. She was so happy we showed up with our equipment and she didn't have to do it anymore.

Be sure to wash your tools off good that touched the poison ivy. The trimmer head will have oils on it too when you change strings. The oils from it can linger on the tools and still infect you if you forget and touch it later. Great job cleaning that place up. Made a world of difference to the yard and to that poor lady who was going to try to clean it up with the tools she had.
That mess sure didn’t happen overnight. Great job clearing it out.

At first didn’t seem that bad, but wow crazy overgrow + Poison Ivy. This company hit the Mowing lotto when you showed up. Amazing transformation. ❤

@@TopNotchLawnsPersonally, I don't think she would've wanted to even go NEAR all of that Poison Ivy! That stuff is nasty!!! I've had more than a Dozen and a half times,where the Urishol Oil from Poison Ivy, and Poison Oak, have given me outbreaks, some of which were quite extensive...and extremely itchy!

Hey brother, if you don't mind, I'd like to make a suggestion that should help you- when you have all the long grass and weeds along everywhere you are going to edge, take the trimmer and clear a swath everywhere you will run the edger. It makes cutting the edge a lot easier without all the long stuff in the way or getting wrapped on the edger head. Love what you do and your work ethic. God bless you and your helper(s).
I use to do yards like this, ( but was never smart enough to record it lol) and after a quick walk of the yard I would run the mower or weed eater along the edge lines first. We got about $35-$75 for a yard like this. When I was young, I was taught mow, edge weed eat as the weed eater would get what the mower and edger missed.

This was an excellent Recovery. You handled a lot of backlog, you brought the house back to usability, being attractive and "fitting in with the neighborhood". The final pictures speak for themselves.

AMAZING is the only word to describe that transformation. The edging alone was a major job in itself, let alone the mowing, cutting the trees/branches, debris removal, etc. (Hope you didn't get any posion ivy.) Another "Top Notch" job!!! Great work.

Brian, you are right realty is not always easy especially for the good realtors. They come in after people move out and clean up the mess and not only pay some one to fix it back up but have to supply the materials which could run anywhere to thousand of dollars. So thank you for helping them out.

The woman could have never cleaned that yard up by herself even in a month’s time! You did a fantastic job!!! The property management should offer you a permanent contract with them for other properties, especially since you totally transformed this one for free. I bet they could not even get a lawn service to do this yard because of the poison ivy! Hope they realize what you have done for them and are appreciative!

I would have taken the money from the property company. They are a for-profit company, not a charity. You might as well make a Benjamin or two in the process.
That’s definitely true but like I said, I have family in the rental property business and it’s honestly not as easy as most people seem to think! Besides, hopefully they can put that money to good use on another lawn that could use some care!

That was crazy! The mowing was the easiest part!! So much overgrowth , old branches, and the poison ivy! They should be VERY THANKFUL for all you did. Why do these houses always seem to be on the corner? The owner of the company should physically go see the condition before sending out someone to clean it up. That wasn't fair to ask of her at all. You were definitely in the right place at the right time. Great job once again.

Brian, you and your assistant did an awesome job on this place! In regard to the poison ivy, why not purchase and have on hand some paper jumpsuits to put on over your clothes, some paper shoe covers, and some plastic/ rubber gloves so you can handle this stuff as it comes up with minimal contact? After you are finished dealing with it, you just take it all off and throw them away! The things I’ve described are what they use in hospitals to prevent cross contamination without having to change into scrubs.
