Me too, but his whiney battery-powered tools are ruining this video. It's such a high-pitched continuous shrieking. Yes, I know I can mute it, but normally the sound is one of the best parts of lawn care videos. I just can't with this. This has happened in another US lawncare guy's platform and one in Australia too.😢
An arborist is going to piece it out by chunks from top to bottom because of how close it is to the house and surrounding stuff. That avoids having to bring in any heavy equipment
Yes, I think they will just lower/maneuver each section down with someone on other end on ground. Did it that way for a 60 ft tall silver maple our place.
yes, and it will sprout again just as it did before if not totally cut down soon. I had one do that to me several times til I decided to have it completely gotten rid of.
Groot looks a lot better after his haircut. He said afterwards "I AM GROOT-FUL!!". Excellent job done considering your professional abilities not usually in dealing with large wooden grass. 😁😁
So True, watching mowers go back and forth is so boring. I like to watch videos where there are bush trimming, tree cutting or trimming, hedging, etc. When I put the video forward and still keep seeing guys on their mowers, I move on to another video, one that is interesting, and don't give a like.
I'm no arborist but something that low to the ground I would just cut small sections from the top and just keep working my way back down. Also that's not the cable and telephone wires that's the electrical service main for the house - you can tell because it's supported by a metal cable that is attached to the service mast, and the electrical meter is right below it. You're lucky the wire wasn't weather worn with bare spots, or you would have found out the hard way.
I've helped cut a tree bigger than that while doing landscaping and yes your right if you don't have the extra equipment you cut it from the top to the bottom
I just had a 100 foot maple tree that was dead and had to come down $2500 later i still have 10 feet of stump left. They wanted another $1000 for the rest . It can sit there n rot if it falls it wont hit the house
That tree was "pollarded" at one point, cut into stubs and then the branches restarting were cut off each fall. It does contain the top growth of the tree. At some point, like seedling trees, the branches weren't cut back and this gave the long growth you started with. Certainly, the roots and trunk of this "twig" is now causing foundation issues where it has been growing. You did a thoughtful job figuring how to do the basic work.
I thought the tree looked like it had been cut before then started to regrow because it wasn't taken to a stump and killed, we've just had a eucalyptus tree removed and the stump was treated to kill it and eventually the roots otherwise it has potential to grow back and we don't that.
I'm glad you had help with this one, Fill. No way you could have done this big one by yourself. It looks good now. It's great that your could help this Octogenarian.
Wonderful "pruning" of the tree. So glad a viewer reached out for help. Larry has beautiful areas in his yard. Maybe you could do a video if and when Larry's tree gets cut down? Keep on keeping on 😊
A tree that massive against the house, Roots, seek water. Sewer lines, leaky water lines, then They screw up and work on your foundation. Like vines on a house, sure looks pretty, but cracks in the brick, siding, Then they start making their way inside? Never a good sign. Lucky Fill has a helper, that could have been an accident in waiting. Love the commitment you show. What ever you make, its not enough.
I love that he asked for help, and I love that you answered! And when he asked if he could do anything to help you, what a sweetheart. Great work guys!!
When planting trees and bushes, so many people plant them too close to the house. Like, how can they not know they have to give them a lot of room for growth? 🙃😅 Great job, Fill. You're an angel on earth. Stay safe and Gods bless you always.
Wow, that was quite the job! Glad you had help. Literally night and day. You're right about how they would strap the trunk and lift it away. I've seen that done. Those guys really have to be on their game when they do that. Larry's porch area is super cute. Now he can get some sun. You and your helper did a great job!
Fil, Max awesome job trimming the Homeowners tree, I'm amazed you only used the battery trimmers, chainsaw. God bless the homeowner, God bless you Fil, Max, God bless your Family's
Its only a problem if you let it become one. I have a pomegranate tree that's been literally wrapped around a corner of our house for 50 years, hasn't caused a single problem. 😂
@thisisnotthechannelyourelo407 a pomegranate is more of a bush.... I'll tell you what happened to me ... the toilet kept stopping up. I'd snake it multiple times and still stopped even though it was clear to the street. Finally tool the toilet off. The pomegranate bush roots had grown under the slab not lifting it or anything, and come up between the slab and sewer pipe and gone straight down in a perfect ring about a foot, just to get water. The snake just went straight past it smooth. So I cut them off and spread some root killer stuff from the plumbing store around the pipe . Put a new wax ring. Never grew back the 10 years more I live there and didn't hurt the tree none.
Would love to see acouple of lawn care guys working together and going around the full yard and trimming things back for them. You did a great job on this tree.
It was so hard for me to believe that all the limbs came off of one tree limb! Un believable ! You and your helper took care of that mess in good time.Congratulations.
Judging by the way those branches are growing out of the limbs of that tree,it looks like someone tried to cut it down once. Now that you did that to it,a tree specialist can take it out better. You always do a great job.❤ GOD bless you too 🙏
There is word that is used when someone ignores a problem when it is small until it becomes big and dangerous. Procrastination. It's obvious that this yard suffers from severe procrastination. You should fix the problems before you get too old to do it yourself. I am pushing 70 now and have replaced my handicap ramp, back stairs and removed any trees that are too close to the house. I love to garden but it has gotten very difficult for me so I put in two small green houses with raised platforms so I don't have to get on the ground or dig. If your deck is rotten have it torn down before you hurt yourself. Put up proper stair and ramp rails now. Keep your yard and lawn free of big stones and silly decorations that make mowing and weed-wacking difficult. You have to prepare for the ravages of old age so you can enjoy what is is left of your life.
I agree...but I love my pretty stuff. LoL I have a huge modernistic woman, a huge tortoise, and a huge Buddha. But everything is in areas that aren't mowed. I have done EXTREME work at my house in the last 5 years. I even had an elevator installed. There are less expensive ones. The elevator can go with me if I move.
So glad you were able to help him. You looked pretty fearless climbing around there. It was a monster, the limbs looked like trees. Good job, God Bless!
In addition to my earlier comment, some of my neighbours followed my style because they were fed up with overhanging tree branches, dried leaves, tall grasses. They were very thankful that i footed the bill of the removal (trees, bushes, vines, etc) 10 ft from my property lining. Some of my neighbours commemted that my house and property was the neatest, cleanest, tidiest ever in the entire neighbourhood. They hired the same contractor to remove all the trees, bushes, vines from their entire yards. Their entire back yard, side yards AND 75% of their front yards have been cemented. The other 25% of front yard (closer to the sidewalk) - had new earth which they planted herbs. Brick wall was placed at the front yard so that the earth don't flow to the sidewalk. To prevent earth to flow from the 25% to the concrete cement, they had built a 1 ft concrete cement along the divider. They are so happy with their renovated yards. They saved time and money from no mowing. They just took care of the 25% area. To say the least, other neighbours are following their style. We had all agreed that the sidewalk shall have no grass. So we had that whole section totally cemented. No tree, no bush, no hedge, no vine, no earth at the sidewalk. Everyone is so happy.
You are very kind and considerate with those you set out to help. You also know what you are doing and don't attempt to go futher. Love that your work is done very neatly and thst you finished what you said you would. 😊
We had a very tall silver maple removed from our front yard a couple of years ago. It was two men, some straps and ropes, and two chainsaws. They made very quick work of it. You did a good job and knew what your limitations were.
Great job! But that looks like a fruitless mulberry. It will come back. Root system is massive and invasive. Definitely needs someone to come take it down completely.
Awesome job as usual. We had trees removed. The guys took the branches out from the top first and worked their way down. They had a machine to grind it up on the spot.
That tree your trimming reminds me of the tree in Harry Potter. The one that had those big ball like on the ends, that smashed Ron Weasley fathers car. Great job.
The sun rose❤❤❤ Looks amazing but the tree needs to go and if they leave a stump they need to put stump killer on it so it doesn’t start growing AGAIN 😊❤❤ Great Job Fill❤❤❤
You did a wonderful job Fill, and your helper. Thanks for helping out this gentleman. I do love his covered deck with the swings. I'm sure there have been some great times out there. Hopefully, he can get the rest of the tree down.
That was an interesting and enjoyable video. That is an unusual looking tree. You, Fill, did very well cutting back that big tree. That was nice that you had a helper today, he did very good keeping your area clean of cut down branches so no one would fall over them. God bless you for helping this man. Take care, stay healthy, safe and happy! See you soon...
Looks like it was a lovely setting when the family was younger and could look after it. Some of the other trees need attention too.Good one fill and helper.
Glad you got help on this one, not that you need it. But i said before work smarter not harder. And safety first, you think me or vice versa. Lets just say great minds think alike. Be careful, thank you to the gentlemen that is helping you out. 👍🙏🦋

If nothing else, you saved this man money because it is less tree to cut and remove for the Arborist. Nice job.
I don't think it's going to matter if you want their services they're going to charge you for it
A tree service will still charge alot of money to remove that
Need to do a part 2 on the same property and tidy up behind 🪴

My thoughts too. Someone who is experienced will cut it in chunks from top down no need for a crane.

Looks like someone trimmed that tree years ago, too. Time for it to go!
Glad you stayed safe!

That was his power line to his house. Good video.👍
And I was freaking out the whole time 😟
