I found this elderly man in desperate need of lawn mowing service. So I knocked on the door and offered to clean up his entire lawn for free. He was truly thankful for my service and told me that he had just moved in late last year and had no mower to cut his grass. As I was cleaning up his property, a neighbor stopped by on his e-bike and made some remarks about his overgrown yard. He said that he's been looking at it for over 6 months, and nothing has been done to it. My question is, why not introduce yourself and offer to help him like a good neighbor? But hey, I don't know the relationship between them. At the end of it all, I hope Dave finds a lawn mower that he can use to cut his property with, or finds a reputable lawn company that can provide him with fantastic, affordable lawn mowing service.

I’m a 58 yr old woman and just did my front and backyard. I mowed, weeded and edged. My neighbour is a widow so I cleaned her yard ( she doesn’t have grass), swept her driveway and trimmed the hedges. My dad always did our neighbours yard and it was a value instilled in me. Thank you dad ❤🇨🇦
Why do you put your age in?
Because there are a lot of capable people much younger than 58 that sit on their butts and watch the friggin grass grow and could care less what it looks like.
Bless you! My Mom was the same way. She was in her 80’s and tended her neighbors flower beds until she passed. There is a special place in heaven for those who serve. Thank You again.

Probably sees dude's got three cars in the yard, including two Porsches. I would have assumed he could pay someone to mow, he just doesn't care... I'm not going out of my way to mow his yard either honestly.

It's so unfortunate the neighbor didn't help.. You know, my dad passed away a couple years ago and my mom's neighbor STILL takes care of her yard for her. I pass some money his way now that I know this but he did it for a long time with nothing but her gratitude. Sad that not everyone has good neighbors like that.

I have a neighbor like that. I am 75 and live in Canada. He will help with the lawn in the summer and shovel my drive in the winter. He is a blessing. Every once in a while I make him a batch of cookies or take him a case of his favorite coke. He won't take money for it. He is truly a blessing.

To add to your complaint, it’s frustrating when TH-camrs say ‘I’m not doing that for whatever reason,’ and only do the bare minimum without going the extra mile. These characteristics contradict my personal work ethic and my philosophy of treating others as I would like to be treated.

The man seemed to think the HMO was onto the elderly gentleman. Almost seemed to hope so. It didn’t seem as if he cared. If he wanted to help he already would have.

It's funny how many people say how long they looked at it, but never tried to help them with fixing it.
Not their job. It is home owner being lazy/not caring. He basically admitted it, by not even having a mower after 1 yr = DOES NOT CARE! Or they could have hired someone to cut it.

Usually, if you take your mower to get serviced every year, those guys usually have mowers that they have fixed up for sale for pretty cheap. You can usually pick up a weed whacker too at a garage sale or something as well. That’s where I got mine and I love it.

My favorite part of your clean-ups is trimming the low hanging branches of trees high enough for tall people to walk under without having to bend down. It makes them look like proper shade trees. ❤❤❤

I am 73 and I help my 40 year old neighbor all the time. He still works and I am retired. The Bible says love thy neighbor as thy self. A lot goes into that verse!

I was raised with "if you don't have something nice to say, then don't say anything at all". I too hope that he keeps up with it moving forward. P.S. Tim on free mow Friday wears a mask as well, because of his health. Maybe you could reach out to him about his mask, it may be lighter than yours. Just a thought. Keep on keeping on 😊

Your attention to the details sets you apart from other lawn care channels. You don’t just edge and mow and mulch and call it a day. You take all those leaves you mulch with you. Same with the edging trimmings all leave with you. That makes all the difference. You are doing a great job.

Glad you were led to this property. You did a great clean up. Tip: Laughing neighbor & other neighbors..knock on a neighbor’s door, introduce yourself. If they obviously need help, instead of laughing, staring,complaining, offer to help and actually do something. Let this be your season of positive change.

OMGosh! That was literally a truckload of clippings, whew! Fill it sure turned out looking fantastic. I have that same mask and agree it’s uncomfortable but it sure works great to keep our lungs protected. Funny story…one night a skunk got under our house and apparently got mad about something and sprayed all over. The smell was so strong that I had to put that mask on in order to sleep! 😂🤣

You can't afford to pay rent on an apartment if you are living solely on SSA. Especially if your house is paid for. That doesn't make sense to move.

Maybe I missed something during the introduction, but this guy owns 2 Porsche 928's and a truck but can't afford to buy a lawn mower or pay someone to mow his lawn? I have no idea why the neighbors are laughing at him but perhaps they know more about this guy than we know. Something doesn't make sense. At 73 years old, this is the 1st time I am unable to do my yardwork. I have 2 knee replacement and 1 hip replacement and having back surgery in a couple of weeks, and I have arthritis in both shoulders. The young man that lives next 12 years old, and he wants to learn how to cut grass and weed eat. That's what we are doing. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 he has learned weed eating is not as much fun as he thought it would be. I appreciate him for wanting to do the work.
