I genuinely love the new Ducks logo more than the original. The biggest difference to me is the “holes” within the mask. They’re bigger and they contour to the bends of the mask! Really adds a different dimension to the iconic logo! Fantastic redesign!
I think thickening the stroke on the mask, removing unnecessary outlines, straightening the stick blades and highlight/shadows are all great improvements too. It really feels like the old logo but looks sleeker imo. Also I feel it looks pretty good against orange

Any update on whether the fit itself of the new fanatics will be same as the outgoing adidas? The current fanatics breakaway jerseys are sized generically (S.M.L.XL.etc) but the adidias had more precise and refined measurements (42, 44, 46, 50, etc,). Also, the adidas jerseys were more fit under the armpit area and tapered to the body immediately, whereas the fanatics breakaway jerseys had a lot of extra fabric under the armpit and tapered down later (presumably for the everyday fan body/shape?) In other words, if one likes the fit of the adidas jerseys, should one order now before the adidas jerseys become unavailable, or can one wait to order a fanatics new NON-breakaway jersey and assume the fit will be the same as the adidas jerseys? Absolutely love the Ducks rebrand. I am a diehard Stars fan but live in OC now. Will definitely be picking up a new jersey when they launch. As an OC resident I'm so glad they are leaning into OC as a market. The Angels do themselves such a disservice trying to half heartedly hitch themselves to LA.

I don't think the on ice jerseys were ever at risk, when it was stated that the factory in Canada will still be utilized. It's what the fan options are, and we've seen their low end output for years at this point, and where Fanatics reputation really derives from. (MLB debacle not withstanding.) Despite the promise of being provided actual, on ice authentics made by that very same factory in Canada, where it was never offered before. Is that factory even capable of a retail demand?
Canucks and Coyotes both had them with their third jerseys last season (or at least part of the season). Personally I love the look and I’d like to see a few more teams do it!

I liked the dimple fabric because it broke up the negative space the shoulders commonly have and helped added variety and texture throughout the entire jersey
I was disappointed with this too. The classic spoked B looks a lot better imo. Put that on the uniforms they’re going back to but obviously change the sparkly gold to the normal gold. I would also like yellow socks to return on the home uniforms too. Might not make sense but it’s just a Bruins thing🤷♂️
As a B's fan Im glad to see the original colors back but that centennial B was a great fresh look. Those 3rd jerseys worn against original 6 teams is what I'll really miss most.

I hope that the sizing is a tad bit bigger or at least the Authentic Pro has the option for a goalie cut. I like my jerseys loose and a size 60 adidas was way too tight and the sleeves went half way up my arm.
I like the Ducks rebrand a lot. It’s what I wish more teams who want to go retro should do. Modernize it enough that it’s different yet still keeps the mold of the original. One thing is I wish the shoulders were black, just to break up the orange, the same issue I have with Nashville. The Kings should have used that logo with new colours, the matte helmets are cool though.

The numbers on the Ducks jerseys are terrible. Should’ve kept the block numbers from the classic jersey’s. The numbers look like they were made in a Word Document using Comic Sans.
Love the Kings and Ducks rebrands. The new, bolder letters in the Kings logo somehow make more sense to me now that I see it on the front of a jersey, while it looked a little strange to me when it was revealed. But as for the jerseys... this actually doesn't look bad at all. Like everyone, I was super pessimistic about the Fanatics takeover, but your videos helped calm my nerves, and now I'm actually excited for this change. The only thing I'm worried about now is the price. I basically stopped collecting jerseys soon after Adidas took over, because they just became too expensive for me, and I didn't think the Fanatics versions were worth the lower price. The only jerseys I buy nowadays are the Penguins special jerseys, and that'll probably continue. Looking forward to getting the new ones, but I don't think I will collect any other team like I used to.
Moving away from the Mighty Ducks brand was the worst mistake the Anaheim Ducks did, so to see its return as the true icon once more makes me so happy.
Love the Ducks updates to the logo & while the OG’s will always be my preference, they did a really nice job with the overall design. Just wished they’d go black helmets/pants. Good: Absolutely L🟠VE the Anaheim Ducks' rebrand. First NHL team to use all-orange while going back to its original crest with sharp updates. They completely nailed it. Bad: It was bad enough for the LA Kings to not embrace their history for being the NHL's first-ever all-purple team. Yes, they brought back the classic crown. However, they easily could've had the nicest black and silver sweater in their history by making the new crown logo the primary jersey crest. Even the updated 90's 3rd could've been used. There should be more emphasis on silver as a secondary while emphasizing the classic crown front and centre. Worse than the Marty McSorley stick penalty in the '93 final.
My hope for both teams that just rebranded (Anaheim and Los Angeles), the Ducks can bring the Mighty Ducks jerseys from the movie to life all redesigned in their current colour palette on a black jersey, and the Kings can bring back the Burger King, redesigned in black and silver on a grey jersey.
Ducks rebrand is fine but we got to modernize the duck logo, it’s looks like an old goalie mask with a duck face. I’m hoping that they keep the original shape but replace the Wild Wing mask with the Mighty Ducks movie jersey logo because that looks like more of a duck than the goalie mask, now in Orange, Gold and Black instead of Green, Yellow, Red and Black.

Yeah, you're right about the Rangers jersey. The kerning (especially on the G) is really wonky. Otherwise, all of the sweaters look pretty decent, based on this carefully edited footage, at least. Now Fantatics needs to head back to the drawing board and rework those horrible MLB jerseys.
I wonder if the Capitals will make a specially Jersey or could they wear the original home & away then maybe both Eagle Jerseys and finally a Capital Building Jersey. I'm hoping some day down the line we get a red ,white,blue Capital Building Jersey and love the Kings & Ducks new uniforms
Those Ducks jerseys are positively putrid. But that’s what I thought of their previous jerseys at first before they really grew on me. So maybe same will happen here. Also not a fan of how both their logo and LAK’s become more blobby when compared to the old logos. But that’s the trend for all logo designs today, so I suppose it should be expected.
As someone who grew up a Mighty Ducks fan, I'm just so disappointed. I feel like he Scarface meme of look how they massacred my boy. Just go back to purple and teal it will look infinitely better than those orange garbage bags
Small thing @icethetics, but I'd love to know why Anaheim went with orange shoulder stripes, when even the original jerseys didn't, and the home doesn't. I understand the want for orange, but it feels like an unnecessary addition and IMO would look better without.
I had a feeling that everyone was going to overreact about Fanatics inital takeover, everything is being kept in the same place, with the same staff, following the same basic formula that has worked for the last 7 years. Question for anyone you manage to get a hold of, Chris: What can we expect from Fanatics when they fully complete their new template for jerseys? Will the AP 3rd jerseys be released to the public for purchase as well? Are there any teams that don't have any thirds right now that are considering them?
Love the New Logo for Anaheim, but absolutely cannot stand that Orange they use. Overall a little disappointing, but it's better then what they had before. Probably gonna avoid watching their games though, due to the orange being awful to look at (I refuse to watch Nashville games for the same reason)
the more i hear Utah Hockey Club the more that name has grown on me. i'm all for keeping it simple and leaving out any sort traditional name, outside of Hockey Club. They could always go the way of the Blue Jackets and have a Stinger-like mascot in the logo and branding without it being the team name. They could even follow the Canadiens and be unofficially known as the Utes.
Can’t believe I’m saying this, but these look better than adidas and it’s all because of the dimples, or lack of. I never realized how ugly they were until now. The jerseys look better with the same look throughout.
Adidas Jerseys were the best jerseys ever. Fanatics has a HUGE mountain to climb. Almost impossible to match German perfection. the adidas fit is simply unmatched

Seeing all the jerseys in a row like that shows how plain and boring most of the teams are right now. Not a shot at Fanatics, just plain design. I think it's a lack of shoulder yokes or block arm striping. An example would be the Pens and Sharks have some stripes or arm blocks that make them interesting. But so many teams jerseys just look flat to me.
I'm cautiously optimistic about the fanatics takeover. It seems like they are doing it the right way. That being said, can we update the collars? They are still awful.
I ain't liking the modernized one. Would rather have the old logo back on with the original colors. But... it's better than the D they had. But that's no big achievement exactly...
I am extremely torn on the Ducks new look. I respect the Orange County inspiration, but that is so much orange! Orange is already a bit of an overused color in this league in my opinion and the pants and helmets are definitely... something.

I've never been a fan of the Orange, Black and Gold for the Anaheim Ducks. Also not a fan of the the D logo. I understand you want to change your logo after so many years but find a better logo. I love the 90s logo and colors.
Glad you mentioned wanting the Habs to change the collar design. Im a hawks fan and boy did i hate the pilgrim collar. The change they made was better but never liked the weird, half collar Adidas started that it looks like Fanatics is keeping

You're right about the kerning with the Rangers sweater. The N & G is off slightly in the video at the 11:31 mark. It could be just the picture because the image is on a slight tilt.
I want a Oilers jersey but I don't want a Fanatics, I like the Adidas ones a lot more. Not only the shoulders but the looks of the logos etc. It looks kinda cheap, sure i want a cheap jersey so im not spending a lot of money but I want one thats more like what the players wear not like what the fanatic oilers look like. Now if there is a "pro" line up thats true to what they wear and things sticked on sure id probably get it, i didn't see a picture here
Thumbs up to the designers at Fanatics. This is a great update for the Ducks with subtle changes that collectively make a big improvement on a familiar theme.
I think it says a lot that the Mike Emrick video really highlights the word “stitch” so prominently. It makes me feel a bit more reassured that the jerseys won’t evolve into the cheaper heat-transfer or sublimated methods we’ve seen in other venues.
The old logo is cooler, the orange in the eye of the Duck logo was a mistake imo, it should be black. Also the hockey sticks on the old one were more cool. But it's better than that ugly duck foot logo, like what were they thinking..

Anaheim is part of the Greater Los Angeles area and the Angels were originally founded as the Los Angeles Angels, so it's not at all offputting.

The Matte finish helmets will be interesting, wonder if other teams will do it as well in the coming years

The numbers on the Ducks jerseys are terrible. Should’ve kept the block numbers from the classic jersey’s. The numbers look like they were made in a Word Document using Comic Sans.

Love the Kings and Ducks rebrands. The new, bolder letters in the Kings logo somehow make more sense to me now that I see it on the front of a jersey, while it looked a little strange to me when it was revealed.
But as for the jerseys... this actually doesn't look bad at all. Like everyone, I was super pessimistic about the Fanatics takeover, but your videos helped calm my nerves, and now I'm actually excited for this change. The only thing I'm worried about now is the price. I basically stopped collecting jerseys soon after Adidas took over, because they just became too expensive for me, and I didn't think the Fanatics versions were worth the lower price. The only jerseys I buy nowadays are the Penguins special jerseys, and that'll probably continue. Looking forward to getting the new ones, but I don't think I will collect any other team like I used to.

Moving away from the Mighty Ducks brand was the worst mistake the Anaheim Ducks did, so to see its return as the true icon once more makes me so happy.
Really sucks that they are doing away with the shoulder pattern from the Adidas era. That was one of my favorite parts of those jerseys...

Love the Ducks updates to the logo & while the OG’s will always be my preference, they did a really nice job with the overall design. Just wished they’d go black helmets/pants.
Overall I’m relieved as of now with the Fanatics takeover. I honestly am glad to see the shoulder dimples gone & MiC’s long awaited return to retail.

Fanatics kept the one thing from the Adidas jerseys I really didn't like, the awful collar designs. They all look so awkward.

Good: Absolutely L🟠VE the Anaheim Ducks' rebrand. First NHL team to use all-orange while going back to its original crest with sharp updates.
They completely nailed it.
Bad: It was bad enough for the LA Kings to not embrace their history for being the NHL's first-ever all-purple team. Yes, they brought back the classic crown. However, they easily could've had the nicest black and silver sweater in their history by making the new crown logo the primary jersey crest. Even the updated 90's 3rd could've been used. There should be more emphasis on silver as a secondary while emphasizing the classic crown front and centre.
Worse than the Marty McSorley stick penalty in the '93 final.

My hope for both teams that just rebranded (Anaheim and Los Angeles), the Ducks can bring the Mighty Ducks jerseys from the movie to life all redesigned in their current colour palette on a black jersey, and the Kings can bring back the Burger King, redesigned in black and silver on a grey jersey.
Ducks rebrand is fine but we got to modernize the duck logo, it’s looks like an old goalie mask with a duck face. I’m hoping that they keep the original shape but replace the Wild Wing mask with the Mighty Ducks movie jersey logo because that looks like more of a duck than the goalie mask, now in Orange, Gold and Black instead of Green, Yellow, Red and Black.

Yeah, you're right about the Rangers jersey. The kerning (especially on the G) is really wonky. Otherwise, all of the sweaters look pretty decent, based on this carefully edited footage, at least. Now Fantatics needs to head back to the drawing board and rework those horrible MLB jerseys.
I wonder if the Capitals will make a specially Jersey or could they wear the original home & away then maybe both Eagle Jerseys and finally a Capital Building Jersey. I'm hoping some day down the line we get a red ,white,blue Capital Building Jersey and love the Kings & Ducks new uniforms
Those Ducks jerseys are positively putrid. But that’s what I thought of their previous jerseys at first before they really grew on me. So maybe same will happen here.
Also not a fan of how both their logo and LAK’s become more blobby when compared to the old logos. But that’s the trend for all logo designs today, so I suppose it should be expected.

As someone who grew up a Mighty Ducks fan, I'm just so disappointed. I feel like he Scarface meme of look how they massacred my boy. Just go back to purple and teal it will look infinitely better than those orange garbage bags
Small thing @icethetics, but I'd love to know why Anaheim went with orange shoulder stripes, when even the original jerseys didn't, and the home doesn't. I understand the want for orange, but it feels like an unnecessary addition and IMO would look better without.
Which jerseys will finally be available for fans in stores? The on-ice jerseys of 400$ and replicas with quality of Adidas or Fanatics Breakway?
I had a feeling that everyone was going to overreact about Fanatics inital takeover, everything is being kept in the same place, with the same staff, following the same basic formula that has worked for the last 7 years.
Question for anyone you manage to get a hold of, Chris: What can we expect from Fanatics when they fully complete their new template for jerseys? Will the AP 3rd jerseys be released to the public for purchase as well? Are there any teams that don't have any thirds right now that are considering them?
Love the New Logo for Anaheim, but absolutely cannot stand that Orange they use. Overall a little disappointing, but it's better then what they had before. Probably gonna avoid watching their games though, due to the orange being awful to look at (I refuse to watch Nashville games for the same reason)
The spacing on the Rangers Jersey is 100% off. That's why it looks like crap.
the more i hear Utah Hockey Club the more that name has grown on me. i'm all for keeping it simple and leaving out any sort traditional name, outside of Hockey Club. They could always go the way of the Blue Jackets and have a Stinger-like mascot in the logo and branding without it being the team name. They could even follow the Canadiens and be unofficially known as the Utes.
Beautiful job on the Anaheim Ducks jersey, hope to see Fanatics revamp them all. Adidas won't be missed.

Can’t believe I’m saying this, but these look better than adidas and it’s all because of the dimples, or lack of. I never realized how ugly they were until now. The jerseys look better with the same look throughout.
Adidas Jerseys were the best jerseys ever. Fanatics has a HUGE mountain to climb. Almost impossible to match German perfection. the adidas fit is simply unmatched
Get ready for cheap made jerseys. They’ll be just as bad as the mlb jerseys. Adidas will be missed.

Seeing all the jerseys in a row like that shows how plain and boring most of the teams are right now. Not a shot at Fanatics, just plain design. I think it's a lack of shoulder yokes or block arm striping. An example would be the Pens and Sharks have some stripes or arm blocks that make them interesting. But so many teams jerseys just look flat to me.
I'm cautiously optimistic about the fanatics takeover. It seems like they are doing it the right way. That being said, can we update the collars? They are still awful.

I am extremely torn on the Ducks new look. I respect the Orange County inspiration, but that is so much orange! Orange is already a bit of an overused color in this league in my opinion and the pants and helmets are definitely... something.

The Ducks rebrand is good! I don't know how to feel about the golden eyebrows though, they're definitively more noticeable than the old color scheme. And as a Flyers hater, it's funny to see another team looking better than the Flyers in their own color scheme.
So did anyone else notice at 14:23 of the video that a Blackhawks jersey falls into the bin and they pull out a white based jersey that has green shoulders with yellow trim? There seems to have a circle from the collar down? The collar seems to have the NHL logo but the logo in the circle is very Kings crown like. I'm thinking this may be an Easter egg teaser to the Wild redesign? #icethetics

I've never been a fan of the Orange, Black and Gold for the Anaheim Ducks. Also not a fan of the the D logo. I understand you want to change your logo after so many years but find a better logo. I love the 90s logo and colors.
Glad you mentioned wanting the Habs to change the collar design. Im a hawks fan and boy did i hate the pilgrim collar. The change they made was better but never liked the weird, half collar Adidas started that it looks like Fanatics is keeping

Glad that dimple fabric is gone, the Rangers angle font is just weird and looks off. I do like most of what I see but the big test for fans is what quality and price we get to buy the jersey's at.
You're right about the kerning with the Rangers sweater. The N & G is off slightly in the video at the 11:31 mark. It could be just the picture because the image is on a slight tilt.
I want a Oilers jersey but I don't want a Fanatics, I like the Adidas ones a lot more.
Not only the shoulders but the looks of the logos etc. It looks kinda cheap, sure i want a cheap jersey so im not spending a lot of money but I want one thats more like what the players wear not like what the fanatic oilers look like.
Now if there is a "pro" line up thats true to what they wear and things sticked on sure id probably get it, i didn't see a picture here
Thumbs up to the designers at Fanatics. This is a great update for the Ducks with subtle changes that collectively make a big improvement on a familiar theme.

Also, there is no other reason the wild north stars color combo would be shown so prominently
I think it says a lot that the Mike Emrick video really highlights the word “stitch” so prominently. It makes me feel a bit more reassured that the jerseys won’t evolve into the cheaper heat-transfer or sublimated methods we’ve seen in other venues.
I'm just happy they didn't go with a design overhaul like when we got all those ugly practice looking jerseys with the piping years ago..

The old logo is cooler, the orange in the eye of the Duck logo was a mistake imo, it should be black. Also the hockey sticks on the old one were more cool. But it's better than that ugly duck foot logo, like what were they thinking..
This is not me picking on Fanatics, but they do seem a little boxy in these examples.. Like less fitted around the abdomen area. Or is it just me?
