No risk involved. You can send it back for 30 days. I have three wouldn't trade any. No one's been able to tell my echo from my Martin blindfolded.

Great video! Love the way your dog joins in the fun while you play the guitar...Too cute! I've been playing the guitar for 63 years. (Started to play at the age of 5). I can honestly say the Orangewood guitars ROCKS! They rival my expensive Westwood. Both in sound and action. Definitely worth the price. (Especially for the beginner just learning to play the guitar). Two thumbs up and subscribed to your channel. A good tip is to gently stretch the strings out with your thumb. Tune the guitar. Repeat this process 3 or 4 times. This will keep your guitar (with it's new strings), in tune longer.

My first acoustic was an Orangewood, I bought it about two or three years back and it's a great acoustic. Not gonna find much better for the price, if you are thinking of getting one, do it. A nice thing I like about cheaper guitars in general is that they don't have to be babied like other more expensive instruments would be.

Great video, simply because you played it without a lot of expensive mics or edited sound. This is the way all videos of acoustic guitars should be recorded. And because I now know how the Oliver truly sounds, I will order one.

Great video, I'm really interested in an Orange Wood , I currently have a Yamaha 800& I paid more for that & a nice Yamaha gig bag than what an Oliver costs. & quite frankly, the Oliver looks like a better deal. Ty for the information.

I got a Rey spruce about a year ago to use as a cheap camping guitar. I'm a semi-professional musician and own a lot of expensive guitars and wanted a guitar I could use that if it got scratched or dinged I wouldn't freak out. The quality of this guitar is really good for something costing $120. The gig bag is also good quality. It came out of the box with very good action. The tuners are excellent. It obviously doesn't sound as good as my $3,000+ dollar guitars but is very acceptable. The first guitar I received was cracked due to shipping abuse - not Orangewood's fault. Orangewood replaced the guitar within a week at no charge and payed the shipping back. Very impressive customer service. I'd highly recommend Organgewood guitars.

Nice job on the review. I totally agree with you about the quality of Orangewood guitars. I own the Ava Mahogany and I couldn’t be happier with it. All solid Mahogany with a tusq nut and saddle gives it unbelievable resonance. And the Grover open gear tuners are really nice and help this guitar stay in tune. It’s weird but if I’m not playing that guitar I’m thinking about it, it’s just in my head. Just strumming chords on it is awesome with the sound I get from that guitar. Don’t hesitate to check out their highland collection. A lot are sold out right now but hopefully they restock after the Holidays. I’m going for the Brooklyn Jr. live next. So again I agree with you, excellent quality and value from Orangewood. Thanks for posting the vid. Take care

I got a lefty Oliver for 137 during their black fridayb sale. I feel almost a little guilty. Once I'm able to put my favorite strings on, I won't be able to keep my fingers off it.
That said, it's not a dreadnought. Know what you're buying.

From Leo: Fully agree. I bought a mahogany Oliver for a casual guitar to play on the couch. Even having better guitars for serious use. I am pleasantly surprised at how good of a guitar was shipped by Orangewood. It did not even need a tweak of the setup. My Taylor 310 is a better guitar, but it costs many times more money. Great value and enjoyable to play.

Every new guitar must be professionally set up by a good guitar tech first then judge the guitar. Whether it is a low-end cheap guitar or a high-end expensive guitar, a professional set up will make a huge difference in playability and sound. I bought the cheapy Orangewood Rey. It was okay upon arrival, but not great. I had it professionally set up and had phosphorous bronze medium light strings installed on it and now I LOVE THE GUITAR. It was definitely a good purchase.

I wonder about the hardware being inside the guitar soundhole to adjust if you're playing it with an amp. Some like the Taylor or Martins have it inside and it seemed very awkward to adjust.

I love my Oliver. Extremely hard to beat for the money... And holy hell, I think they're BEAUTIFUL. I haven't had a better looking guitar at this price, but I'm a mahogany fanboy, so I'm there's a bias... I just love mahogany wood on almost anything.

bought two guitars from Orangewood recently and both had badly bowed bridges (belly bulge) and they called it "acceptable"
I have never received a new guitar from any other maker with any bow and Orangewood wants me to just ignore the bulge and bridge pitch angle and live with it?
Not acceptable! If it had gained a bow or bulge after years of ownership I could understand that but not to receive one as "NEW" in that condition!
They don't have any info on their page, nor photos, that say they send out bulging guitars as "acceptable" to them.
    waste of time and money

Never had one of these in my hands, but all flattop guitars will have a bulge from the string tension, I would be worried if it was flat as that means it has way too thick bracing that would mute the tone. Now if you are described a loose slot with a saddle that is leaning forward and causing intonation issues, that is worth getting a new saddle and very common issue with cheaper guitars that get dried out and the bridge wood shrinks.

I personally really respect and enjoy playing orangewood guitars, they’re overall a very decent guitar and great for the price range; however, I would recommend doing a review on my top budget acoustic guitar. So far I don’t see anything that can beat it. The Yamaha FG800 and the step up Yamaha FGX800C it’s electronic big brother. Best guitars for the value hands down in my opinion.

I think the originals were made in Indonesia but they now are made in china. I just got a mason live and it says made in china and all the newer videos say china. It's a great guitar I'm absolutely loving it but its Chinese made and it's really nice for Chinese. It looks beautiful but up close theres scratches, glue marks, and a weird discoloration where the body meets the neck. And a tiny peice of basalt wood was shaking around inside(cut during production not broken). Also I had to slightly adjust truss rod due to buzzing. I feel I might have gotten one that was prior returned due to only 5 being left when I got it. Anyway it's an amazing value and sounding guitar but it's made in china. I'm very happy with my purchase all things considered. It looks great and sounds great and has Fishman electrics and a great bag. For 330 during sale I'm more than happy it's clearly from a Chinese factory not like artisan made. But good setup minus the slight buzz I'll blame on shipping and weather fluctuations. It sounds amazing and plays good though so that's all that matters.

Most guitars are not made in America, Some Martins and Taylors, although some of Taylors are made in China. Nobody in America wants to work anymore, they'd rather sit on their butts and get a check from Biden. Just wait until the checks stop and every place you used to go to is OUT OF BUSINESS.

Theres many guitars at every Orangewood priceranges that can compete with them.. This company is so overated.. Fender, Yamaha, Epiphones and Harley benton all make guitars that are just as good or better for the same price ranges. They make their guitars in china also. People dont fall for that gimmick, try a guitar before buying it.. This is only hype.. The whole set up thing is a gimmick.. Any guitar will need a saddle adjustement.. Guitars comes with high sadlle so that you can choose if you want a super low action or keep it high.

I can't speak to the models in this video, but I recently purchased an Orangewood Hudson (all-solid dread) and compared it to my other acoustics: Seagull S6, Yamaha FG800, Guild F40P, Eastman E1D, Martin D10E. In terms of tone (which I compared both while playing and recorded), Orangewood blew the Seagull and Yamaha out of the water and was slightly better than the Eastman (which had too much low end and was muddy) and the Martin. Only the Guild was noticeably better. So I plan to sell the Seagull and Yamaha in favor of the Orangewood Hudson. Based on this experience, I'm very impressed with their midrange offerings
