When the engine is out of the suv it's not that hard to replace. But when engine is still in the suv, it's not fun doing it. I replaced the belt & tensioner & pulley when over 10 years old or 88K. When do you replace the serpentine belt & tensioner & pulley?
A few problems... One of the engine mounts is in the way. The power steering resorvoir is in the way. We had to remove rhe front wheels and the plastic guards. And we still have no idea how to install it while the engine is in the vehicle.
Just replaced mine on 2013 Tucson. There isnt enough room to get enough leverage to put the belt on. You HAVE to take the motor mount off on that side!!! Use a jack to support the motor, remove the mount and youre all set. Good luck guys. Cheers 😊
I have seen a 2011 Hyundai Tucson GLS less than 62K and the 3 bolts (1:26) holding on the engine mount snapped off completely. Hyundai refused to pay for the repair. Engine dropped to the ground on Sunday at 01:28. Owner driving home because Monday is work day. Costing the owner over $5,700.00. Have you ever see that, a very lousy designs? The whole front engine face had to be replaced.
To understand this dude I had to slow down the playback speed to .75 AND turn on closed captioning. BTW, do you have to pull the whole engine out of the car like he did to replace the belt??
i dont like when you do your video with the engine out most people who are watching the video dont have the engine out and i speak for many when i say this..stop doing this...we need it to be in the engine .

OK, so, (1) Remove the engine; and (2) Have a friend assist. Good stuff!

Belts are only good on Hyundais for about 100k miles
It is tough and a test of patient putting the belt on in Hyundai’s

How do you get to the drive belt? Do you have to take tire off?
Yes
This is no help really since the engine is out of the vehicle.
Leave the belt off the water pump pully. It's much easier to slide it on.
