Marry My Husband was so so good, and it was also a Webtoon as well. The hubs and I just started watching Crazy Love, it's on Hulu starring Kim Jae Wook and Krystal Jung, it's crazy and funny. It is reminiscent to the Netflix show Crash Course in Romance, but crazier, there are a lot of the same tropes we see in Kdrama romantic comedies, but it's fun!! I watched Twinkling Watermelon and it was sweet, give it a try, it is a little slow at first. Love, love, love your channel, since I am an Ahjumma! ;)
Dr. Slump is getting interesting! I think you will like it in the end. It's a weekend drama, so we have to wait for the next two episodes. I love all your videos, and so does my family. Thank you for doing what you do, and representing Korean culture here in the US.
My wife and I loved your take on Korean drama’s in such a relaxed atmosphere, getting your impressions was very entertaining. Keep up the wonderful content as it brings a smile into everyone's day, we appreciate the effort and hard work and hope to see much more over the years ahead. Cheers.
I’m enjoying Dr. Slump. Park Hyungsik is always on point (I may be biased 😅), but Park Shinhye is growing on me too. I didn’t like her character to start, but I’m looking how her character is developing.
I need to separate my comments into a few parts: 1) Your first smoothie in the video is very strong and powerful. What did you put there? 2) Your husband seems to be an excellent help, especially with the details... that's rare. 3) I think series inspired by webtoons are much freer to develop less predictable plots and... that's really cool. 4) Rural kdramas seem to be more focused on the simpler and deeper relationships between the characters and this strengthens the bond with the viewers. 5) About the three series you mentioned: Doctor Slump has one of the two most unpleasant protagonists in recent years of kdramas... and I refuse to watch any more of those two arrogant perfects; Captivating the King is keeping me immersed in the history of power struggles of the ancient Korean political class, maybe you should watch a few more episodes; Killer Paradox is that kind of action/suspense series that requires you to put yourself in the protagonist's shoes just to be a little scared, worried or disgusted... but it's worth it. 6) Suggestions for recent series that are VERY INTERESTING and can also be used for mental detox: Behind Your Touch (very funny, engaging and tense); Designated Survivor: 60 Days (extremely immersive, tense and honorable); Racket Boys (very light and family friendly... it's surprisingly very good) :)
I have not heard of the last three you mentioned! WOW you should start a Kdrama review channel haha, and the smoothie had Apple Celery Spinach and Banana + protein powder!
I ended up really enjoying Twinkling Watermelon. I don't usually like to watch high school characters in dramas (with the exception of 2521), and I didn't obsessively binge this drama, but I think it's worth the watch! And I 100% agree with your comments about Marry My Husband. Soo Min in particular was fantastic! I'm currently watching My ID is Gangnam Beauty. Enjoyable so far.
If you like Song Ha Yoon, you might like Devilish Joy. It’s one of those second tier, doesn’t make sense, kind of drama, but chemistry of the leads is fantastic.
Me demon was okay, but twinkling watermelon was awesome ❤ a good example of a unique plot and really not knowing what is going to happen and funny and heartwarming
Doctor slump I expected more from… unfortunately the endless trend of park shin hye having flat romantic chemistry with any male lead continues. Not too many really good dramas out now but I am quite enjoying wedding impossible!
