First time I see so much enthusiasm & emotions put into description of a car so no wonder why I love the special Jags! The rest of the cars focus just on numbers & market slice, where Jag just did it right!
Max. So underrated! What a soundtrack! As you say would buy over RR SUV. Different enough and [slightly!] more stealth. Ha ha. New face lifted model is a big improvement. Quality and reliability... that word is the 'elephant in the room'. New clam shell bottom and overall looks. The last of a kind. Only real competition is perhaps Audi SQ7?? As you say save a fortune and forget the Aston Martin. Brilliant!
I have the newer facelift model with the updated interior. Its my daily and the ftype R my weekend car. Highly recommend ps the new one has launch control. My best time so far is 3.5sec to 100kmh. Fun fact even in sport mode the valves dont fully open. To get them fully open you need to turn on the car (not engine) press the dynamic button than start. I've disconnected mine so they are always open. :D
@@sarbjitsingh4722 Yea I understand why. They both sound great but my ftype is also on another level on th sound. 16 model so all the drama without the noise regulations crap 🙂
On a run from South Devon to Heathrow, driving normally, keeping to speed limits, I get between 28 and 31 mpg. Beats my old XJ 3.2 which never exceeded 27. Trip to the local builders merchant, booted it a few times, 10.5 mpg. A joy to drive, three years now and zero regrets.
Really good review, thank you. Some of the comments here have noted that this is the pre-facelift version but this is actually the one I would consider as far as bang-for-buck goes. Also, I’m kinda tired of manufacturers replacing knobs and buttons on everything with a touchscreen as that means yet more electronics that fail plus you lose the tactility of the interactions. The new facelift has a better infotainment system as well as some tweaked mechanics but I’m not bothered by infotainment tbh. With a V8 purring under the bonnet that’s where the senses are zeroed in on. The Jag V8 is sensational. Insurance is something to consider too though. I’m getting quotes of only a few hundred more than for a V6, which is another option I’m considering. My commute is in the low tens of miles so consumption on this as a daily driver is lower on the priority list.
In Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, drivers don't know how to merge on/off a highway. They tailgate. They don't pay attention to the speed limit signs so you end up with some driving 10 to 20km/h below the speed limit, some 20km/h over and some totally clueless as to what the speed limit is. Then you have so many blocking the lane and driving slow. Then when you try to get to the posted speed limit, they speed up, suddenly they're doing 70km/h in a 50km/h zone. Could an F-Pace SVR help me? Might. However, public roads aren't racetracks. A lot of drivers here drive like the road is their private property which it isn't. Turn-signals also seem to be optional for a vast majority in Ottawa. Changing lanes takes over 2 minutes for many of the moronic drivers out there. Again, would a 500HP+ vehicle help? Maybe...for getting out of the way and avoiding these drivers? Again, it's public roads, public highways, lots of obstacles, idiots, intersections, signs, etc. It's not Silverstone or Imola. Oh, and then there's snow, Winter. Winter tires, they're a thing. Would I like an F-Pace SVR? Sure. Do I need one? That can be debated. Would I like one? Sure. Surrounded by the vast majority of drivers in Ottawa that do not know how to do the simplest thing of driving at the posted speed limit and keeping a distance, hmm...maybe the F-Pace SVR help me get out of certain and many dangerous situations. I want to get home alive and same for others. Most posted limits are 50km/h in Ottawa, some 60, some 80, and top is 100km/h. So, whether you drive a 640HP Lambo or a 152HP Subaru, 50km/h is 50km/h for everyone or if it's 100km/h, it's not 150km/h. So, yes, I would buy an F-Pace SVR, however, in most daily driving scenarios, I'm on public roads, my life and the lives of others matter.
One of the most underrated and overlooked cars on the market. Fantastic car and another great video.
Thanks! 👍
Max, you should be on top gear. What a great review on this SVR. Well done mate and what a lovely vehicle 👏 👍
Thanks Lee, that’s very kind 👍

Brilliant review and an absolute animal of a car
Thank you 👍
Don’t think the car was in dynamic mode when you timed the 0-60. The ambient light was in purple. In dynamic mode, it can only go red
That's a mint motor. Love the reg plate ❤
Great coverage max
Another great review Max!!!
Thanks James

I also have 22 f pace svr and 2015 f type r. But I drive f type almost daily and f pace barely as the f type is a full theater.

Lovely looking car and sounds amazing. Great review to.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great review of of a beast of a car
Thank you 👌
Stunning car
Beautiful colour combo, wheels pop in black against the grey, and it sounds like a animal
Great review, awesome car
Thanks! 👍
This is actually my mates car, great review and in agreement over the Range Rover
Thank you 👍

It’s an amazing experience!
The claimed 0-60 on this generation is 4.1. Facelift is 3.9 I believe.
I have the exact same car as on the video. 💪🏻

Fab review
Thank you!
Really nice motor that...
It sure is!
That's not the face-lift model is it ? I believe the suspension is much improved in the newer version.
It’s not no. Facelift will most probably drive better yes
Why did you say it doesnt have launch control when it does. ?
It does not have LC
@@afgpkdk the face-lift does.
@@DirtyDingusMcGee but this is not the facelift one on he video.
Posted 1 day ago and your showing an outdated model??
I post what I like, thanks 👍
Thank you! My dad has the same engine in his RR P525. Never let him down! But it boils down to maintenance/servicing
I guarantee you dont own neither the new one or the "outdated" model anyways so why you care
Lovely motor that. Would love to see it on a track. Jealous of the owner
Thank you 👍
sorry just noticed this is an older version...the new upgraded version is cheaper and much better.
No problem 👍
I own the same car 2019 The standard exhaust sounds better than the Quicksilver.

Overall a fantastic car but brakes need updating for the power this car has
brakes are fine except the Brembo rears are no to have a squeal in the wet. Braking at any speet is spot on though. honeslty, the best>
