    Ok, for all the people asking how to get the motor and how to get a wing, I fly a lot, people die flying the wings w/o motors. If you wanna actually do this, go spend a couple years flying gliders

    A few questions, what is the maximum range? Is it fuel efficient? Do you use kerosene? What’s the maximum speed? What model is your glider? Can you sell a complete jet hang glider? For what price? Thanks in advanced! I’m very very interested!

    • @brianmorrison9066
      @brianmorrison9066 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It is a jetcat turbine.

    • @heatherfinley2242
      @heatherfinley2242 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, jet engines are not fuel efficient. Need jet fuel from the airport to run correctly, kerosene may fire but is dirtier and will most likely cause problems with engine reliability down the road.

    • @thedronehorseman4713
      @thedronehorseman4713 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@heatherfinley2242 What is the incentive if the het is ineficient? Just the ability to go fast? Is there a way to make it as efficient as 747 jet engines?

    • @heatherfinley2242
      @heatherfinley2242 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would think it's more about being cool than going fast. I believe your wing will actually dictate your max. speed. I suppose when compared to a 747 they are efficient, but keep in mind a 747 burns roughly 1 gallon (4 liters) per second, or 5 gallons per mile if you prefer (can hardly be considered efficient). There are people who have these wings mounted to trikes with a paramotor/propeller which would be much more efficient.

    • @thedronehorseman4713
      @thedronehorseman4713 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@heatherfinley2242 I thought that larger jet engines are more efficient than smaller jet engines? But you sound like that's not the reason. If larger jet engines are just as efficient as small hobby jet engines then surely simply carrying enough fuel to match the composition of fuel and cabin mass ratio would let your glider fly for just as long as a paramotor?

    • @CockatooDude
      @CockatooDude 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It's just a regular hobby jet engine. You can buy them on the internet for a few thousand dollars. Although you will also need a fuelling and control system. I would also recommend something with at least 20-25 kg of thrust, preferably more.

      Back in the 90s when I had the idea of adding solar panels to an RV roof. Most people said it was it was more trouble than worth. That it wouldn't produce enough power to be worthwhile,etc..
      Now everyone is doing it.
      When I talk about building a motor scooter like a Piaggio mp3 (reverse trike design) that has a lower seating position and a removable aerodynamic lightweight weather enclosure so it could be very fuel efficient and drove year round as an affordable commuter vehicle. Most people think it's not possible or a goofy idea.
      It'd basically be an affordable 350cc or 500cc motor scooter 🛵 that's fast enough to keep with traffic,has room for groceries and be used year round even in poor weather because of the enclosure and 3 wheel pivoting trike stability.
